@Skl2021 oh god it'll still be ok if i re download it?! Hate that. Didn't like the app anyway 😫prefer having a proper file! Yeah I'm not sure whether to tell people super early incase we get bad news again as I feel like I'd need their support 😬 it's hard to know what to do for the best x

barneymcgroo · 03/04/2022 21:03

@sunnyd67 You can definitely have paracetamol. Avoid ibuprofen, anything with Sudafed in. Honey, lemon, ginger all good.

Skl2021 · 03/04/2022 21:16

@calimc83 yes it's a bit crap would rather not be reminded! Yes it's up to the individual. I want to tell my kids but don't know wether to wait until I have another scan just to make sure everything is still ok. It's totally different after a loss I had told everyone by this point with my other two. Xx

Cruz86 · 03/04/2022 21:19

The tiredness is just next level isn't it @Skl2021! Haha oh I thought you'd nearly be at the nice stage, I hope so anyway 😬 Thank you, I need to just try and relax a little.

Oh I never thought to just make a new account @calimc83 😂 I wish they still did paper notes though, I loved taking my folder with me to every appointment! Thank you for the reassurance 😊

Haha no need to apologise @speake, your words were just really lovely. Yes it was just a tiny streak but I've had on off sharp pains all day. I've booked a scan for tomorrow afternoon but I'm petrified.

Echo what @barneymcgroo said @sunnyd67. Hope you feel better soon!

Xx

calimc83 · 04/04/2022 07:11

@Cruz86 good luck for your scan. You've got this xx

scoutcat · 04/04/2022 07:18

I'm not sure what to do. I'm 6 weeks exactly going by my LMP but I think I ovulated late so could really be 5 weeks still. I want to ring the GP about these side pains I'm getting so they can get me seen at EPU sooner but I'm worried it might make me worry if there's no heartbeat. My scan is arranged for Thursday when I will be 6+3.

The pains are worrying me a bit but each time they're in a different place. I have no other ectopic symptoms and before I was even pregnant I was having right sided pains that I'd even been to the doctors about.

What should I do?

flowergarden16 · 04/04/2022 07:29

Can you call the EPU directly @scoutcat and ask for advice? Does sounds like normal stretching pains to me but I can't I'm shine Thursday seems like a lonnnggg way off x

scoutcat · 04/04/2022 07:40

I did they said they can't tell me what's normal and what isn't and I'd need to speak to my GP to assess me

1stTimeTina · 04/04/2022 08:16

Good luck to everyone who’s having their scans today, I’ve got my 12 week one. Super nervous, on one hand there’s been nothing in this pregnancy to cause concern really but there’s just so much bad memories and trauma from scans with the miscarriage, took them 4 scans over 3 weeks last time to confirm for sure I’d lost the baby. I know it wouldn’t be the same this time because there will either be a heartbeat or there won’t at this stage but the whole scan process just fills me with dread and bad memories

scoutcat · 04/04/2022 08:20

Good luck @1stTimeTina @arianasky and @Cruz86 - I think I've got that right! I'll be thinking of you all today.

mrshodgy21 · 04/04/2022 08:23

@Cruz86 good luck for ur scan today and good luck to anyone else's having scans mines at 2pm 🌈 dust to us all!

scoutcat · 04/04/2022 08:27

Just phoned my GP and they won't do anything as you have to be 8 weeks to be referred to EPAU now? I didn't know that. It was 6 weeks when I went in October.

If I waited until I was 8 weeks with my ectopic, it might have ruptured before I even got there? Her message was "you need to go to A&E".

I'll wait until Thursday.

flowergarden16 · 04/04/2022 08:29

Good luck to everyone have scans today

@scoutcat just keep an eye and if pain gets pad go to a&e but i think you'll be fine and go Thursday x

Bridgey8 · 04/04/2022 08:43

Good luck for all the scans today!

Xxx

HoneyLemon29 · 04/04/2022 09:11

Good luck everyone with scans today 💜

@scoutcat this was me when I fell pregnant with this pregnancy. Was getting ride sided pain all the time (tube side) and I called the doctors. They rang EPU for me and said they won't see me until 6 weeks and to go to A&E with any pain. It was a nightmare x

scoutcat · 04/04/2022 09:21

@HoneyLemon29 did it turn out to be just normal pains? I can't believe they told me I had to be 8 weeks. When I rang EPU to book my placement scan, they said in the mean time if I get any pain or bleeding to ring my GP. I really think the receptionist is wrong. I can't find anything about EPU changing to 8 weeks minimum!

HoneyLemon29 · 04/04/2022 09:32

@scoutcat yeah normal pains. They said I had a cyst left behind from ovulation on my right ovary at a scan that's gone now but it could've been that as well. They said the same to me about pain and bleeding and I said "you know as well as I do by the time that starts it can be too late" I kicked up a storm for a few days ringing them everyday before I spoke to the EPU manager who was by my side the whole Ectopic and she asked me in for blood tests eventually x

HoneyLemon29 · 04/04/2022 09:33

@scoutcat 8 weeks is ridiculous when they can see gestational sacs and yolk sacs and even the fetal pole as early as the 5th week x

Skl2021 · 04/04/2022 09:50

Good luck everyone with scans today 💞✨ xx

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 04/04/2022 10:03
