I'm 8+4 and had pink discharge just now after going for a wee. I'm so scared this is another miscarriage, I had a mmc in November. I've got no pains or anything
I only had a scan Sunday and saw the heartbeat can't believe it

Did you have sex recently

Diamondbabe · 03/03/2022 19:44

So sorry I don't have any answers but it must be a worry. Bleeding can be normal so don't give up hope yet. If you saw a heartbeat that's amazing news x

thinkingtheworstnow · 03/03/2022 19:49

No I'm too scared to have sex after everything. I had diarreah yesterday and saw it can be a sign of miscarriage so of course thinking the absolutely worst now !!

I bled a lot during the first 12 weeks and was fine. I hope it will be the same for you.

HopingForRainbow2021 · 03/03/2022 19:56

I had some pink just like that a day or two after my 6 week scan. I had my 8 week scan yesterday and all was well. It can happen and from all my Googling it’s not that unusual. I really hope all is well for you :) x

thinkingtheworstnow · 03/03/2022 20:02

Thanks for the well wishes. I really hope it's just normal spotting. So scared though I can't help but worry. Going to drive myself insane now unless it completely stops.
Such a shock to see isn't it.
I was really reassured by the scan and knowing once you see a heartbeat miscarriage stats really drop.
Could it be implantation of the placenta ??

I’ve had spotting like this on and off throughout my pregnancy so far including one bright red bleed and I’m now 10 weeks. Had two scans and all looked fine with no sign of where any bleeding was from so I am assuming it’s from my cervix which can be really sensitive during pregnancy. It’s a good sign that you saw a heartbeat. I know it’s hard but I would try and not assume the worst at this point, it’s when the bleeding is bright red that I’d be worrying more. Could you book a private scan to be seen asap to put your mind at rest?

thinkingtheworstnow · 03/03/2022 20:25

I only had a scan Sunday though would it show anything different ? It was a fast heartbeat aswell...
I've felt abit sick today, boobs are still swollen, no pains yet. Just checked again and had a wee it's slightly more now and also was tiny little clots in the toilet so I can't help but think the worst.
This was a natural pregnancy after years of infertility, last pregnancy was ivf but had a mc the heart never started beating
Just can't believe the bad luck

Would your period have been due around now? It is very normal to have bleeding around the first few missed periods.

Yeah I'd have been due Sunday or Monday as have a 28/29 day cycle usually. I did read that but it never happened in my first pregnancy (8 years ago) It's still happening, I'm just holding onto the fact I'm not in any pain atm

I’m not you but I had frequent pink discharge and on occasion bleeding throughout two pregnancies that resulted in healthy babies.
I sought medical attention each time and received it.

All the very best.

Nikki037297 · 03/03/2022 21:32

@thinkingtheworstnow in so sorry it’s gotten worse. With my last baby I bled on and off for 13 weeks. I don’t know why there was never a reason. But it terrified me each time I wiped and seen blood. Sometimes it was after sex others it wasn’t it was just random and it was often red and not just spotting. At 13 weeks it stopped and never happened again and I carried a healthy baby to term.

I’m almost 9 weeks now and at 7 weeks I bled heavy for an hour or so. It stopped after that hour but it was heavy and red. I’m 9
Weeks now well I will be this weekend and Iv had a scan since the bleeding and all is well.

So please don’t write it off yet bleeding isn’t always a miscarriage especially if your still feeling pregnant

thinkingtheworstnow · 03/03/2022 22:23

@Nikki037297 thanks for sharing. I keep telling myself it can be common but it doesn't stop the worry. I'm quite calm though to be honest i did have a little cry earlier but think either way I know I can't control anything. It seems to have slowed now and just pink watery when I wipe but again had a wee and a tiny clot in the toilet. I don't think clots are good even if they are small

Teacaketotty · 03/03/2022 22:31

Really sorry you are going through this.

Honestly I’ve had this twice, first pregnancy everything was fine and she’s now 2 - sadly my second ending in miscarriage which begin similarly. I really hope all works out for you, call the EPU if you are worried they should see you x

thinkingtheworstnow · 03/03/2022 22:35

It just seems so unfair especially after the scan I had with a heartbeat, I finally allowed myself to believe it's real and going to happen this time

OP posts:
givemestrength22 · 03/03/2022 22:39

I bled a lot and just like this, I'm 35 weeks now, I had diarrhoea too, I had instead of morning sickness I think

thinkingtheworstnow · 04/03/2022 06:56

So I didn't really have any bleeding/spotting in the night but a couple of times when I went to the toilet there was a small clot in the bowl. This morning had pink/red discharge. Still no pains. I'm going to ring my midwife this morning. I really want a scan but I can't see them giving me one because I'm not proper bleeding
Do you think the clots may make them think otherwise ? They're only small, the biggest was probably like a 5p

OP posts:
Moonshine160 · 04/03/2022 07:21

Yes OP, I would explain how anxious you are and that you want to be scanned. Hopefully they will with there being clots. I really hope they scan you.

Youvegotafriendinme · 04/03/2022 07:42

I had spotting with my last pregnancy around 8w and the midwife didn’t want to know. I had to call my doctors to request an early scan at the EPU. Had one 2 days later. Baby is now 1 years old.
I’ll keep everything crossed for you

thinkingtheworstnow · 04/03/2022 07:59

This is my worry that the midwife will be like "oh it can be normal just monitor it" but the fact is it isn't stopping and has red streaks and small clots. I also have a blood clotting disorder which can cause mc
I'm just going to ring the epu tell them I'm scared , bleeding and have a blood clotting disorder and have had a previous mc. Hopefully they will see me 🤞🏻

OP posts:
thinkingtheworstnow · 04/03/2022 10:40

So it has stopped for now, not even a speck when I wipe. I rang the local epu and they're happy to see me but have no scan availability today so it'll be either tomorrow or Sunday just waiting for a call back

OP posts:
ElleGB · 04/03/2022 12:31

Good luck Op!

thinkingtheworstnow · 04/03/2022 14:52

So just rang the epu back as still haven't heard anything and they said there is no guarantee they will scan me this weekend as there is only one lady who comes in on weekend to scan and they haven't got her scan lists, apparently they'll get back to me before the end of the day. Don't know if I should just book a private one now

OP posts:
thinkingtheworstnow · 04/03/2022 16:43

Relieved to say they've given me a scan for tomorrow lunch time
Had no bleeding all day so I'm keeping everything crossed

StringFellow · 04/03/2022 16:48

Good luck op Flowers
