Hello! Thought I'd start this group as it doesn't seem to exist yet and would be good to hear from anyone due in November! I know it's ridiculously early days but it's nice to have other people going through the same thing at the same time ☺️ x

Thank you @xreadytoglow xx

VickiG85 · 25/03/2022 20:09

@AnxiousJane thank you! That’s helped to know I’m not going completely mad.
Good luck with your scan and please let me / us know how you go!
Can I ask how many weeks you are?

OtiMama · 25/03/2022 20:19

Lovely scan photos. I'm not having one until 12 weeks, feels ages but I know it will come round.

Just to say when you feel sick, fed up etc. It feels forever, like it is going really slowly but the weeks do go and suddenly baby will be here. I keep telling myself this as know last time I found it hard with the sickness but then later on I thought wow where did the time go. Every phase is just that, a phase and you will get through it. Hope everyone starts to feel better soon, I feel I am probably not at my worse yet I expect.

A Mum friend of mine said apparently sickness is made worse by thinking about the baby. Not sure I agree with her but then weirdly I was feeling a tiny bit sick on and off but it ramped up from the day I found out. Weird thought if that's the case as it's kinda hard not to think about them!

AnxiousJane · 25/03/2022 20:24

@VickiG85 Thanks! I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. How about you? I will definitely update either way. I'm blessed to already have a 4 year old son, but I so want to give him a sibling, I don't remember being so worried when I was pregnant with him but I think I was just so happy and in shock that I'd finally managed to get pregnant, where as this time it happened really quickly xx

roobearbaby · 25/03/2022 20:48

@OtiMama I absolutely believe it to be true by making it worse when thinking about the baby. My GP told me to do a puzzle (Soduko type thing) to take my mind off it as thinking about it makes it worse and it has worked!!!

@VickiG85

Hi all, I’ve been lurking a little in the background and congrats to you all; I’m due in November too and feel so lucky; but is anyone just constantly worrying about miscarriage? My body was pretty good at telling me something was different a week after conception (helped along by the NHS) but I don’t know if I’m constantly feeling cramping pain, it’s in my head or just wind (sorry)!! I must be going to the loo to check there isn’t any blood so many times, I’m just paranoid Is anyone else really struggling…
Hi VickiG85, I can definitely relate. I am super paranoid and constantly checking for blood. I have been cramping throughout but I think that's quite normal. It's certainly feels like it's going to be a long anxious wait for both my first scan and the baby!
VickiG85 · 25/03/2022 22:00

Oh gosh, that sounds the same! I’ve read so many articles and with you on it being normal! I’ve got my first scan on the 13th and that feels forever away! It’s great to have this group as a little supportive hug!
Thanks for sharing, it’s really kind of you and makes me feel like I’m not alone.

iwanttogototheseaside · 25/03/2022 23:06

Hi everyone and congrats. It's nice to know there are lots of anxious Annie's like myself out there.
I've been quietly reading for weeks scared to admit I'm pregnant incase things go wrong. I am tender to touch on my left side near ovary but some days it's a really niggling pain when I'm walking and other days cramping. I had similar complaints prior and had a scan just before I was pregnant which showed a tiny fibroid. I'm wondering if this is what is causing it. I feel like my hip is hurting too. Im 36 but feeling older!!
I'm 7 weeks and not even had my bloods yet! Contemplating a reassurance scan before I do myself damage overthinking.

smiles39 · 26/03/2022 06:44

My partner just got stupidly excited when I was talking about our EDD (26th Nov), I was revelling in how smiley he was until he turned his phone around the show me that the World Cup starts on 21st November 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ffs 😂

roobearbaby · 26/03/2022 08:50

@smiles39 I just told my husband he is likely to be on Paternity leave when the world cup is on. He too was very excited 🤣

Bramblecrumble21 · 26/03/2022 09:26

I am blessed with barely any sickness or nausea at 8 weeks. However, I am finding thinking about things makes me feel breifly sick. It would make sense that thinking about a newborn would make me feel sick as the first thing I did when my first DD was placed on my chest was panic that o was going to puke over her, then puke in a vomit bowl. (I think it was partial the epidural, but she also looked gross and I didn't get that rush of love). I did have anxiety and depression during my pregnancy (and before) so had read up lots about how that rush of love often doesn't happen. I have a great bond with my daughter, built up slowly and very lovable when clean. Unlike many of you I feel much less anxious with my second although I'm giving more thought to the birth. I'm reading the positive birth book which I read late in my last pregnancy. I didn't get to finish but had in my head some positive birth attitudes.

@OtiMama A Mum friend of mine said apparently sickness is made worse by thinking about the baby.

This is an interesting theory. I’ve barely thought about it this time so far and I’ve been pretty much fine, bit muggy in the mornings but mostly ok so maybe there’s something in it Grin

@VickiG85 and others who are anxious, I think it’s normal to a point. My last pregnancy I was an absolute mess due to history of MC, really hugely anxious. This time I’m somehow very much ‘what will be will be’ and chilled about the whole thing - I know from experience that there’s nothing you can do or not do to change the outcome one way or another anyway. And while worry is def normal, if it goes too far and starts to really affect you I’d really recommend speaking to the midwife or someone about it - like I say I was SO anxious last time that I could barely think about the baby and it definitely ruined the pregnancy experience somewhat as I just couldn’t get excited at all.

AnxiousJane · 26/03/2022 09:58

I've had my scan and all is perfect. Measuring 6 weeks and 5 days so 2 days out to my dates but my first pregnancy was the same. Feel very relieved. Obviously aware I can still miscarry but I'm going to try and stop worrying and like what @fuckwhatshouldido has said what will be, will be. ❤

birdtree18 · 26/03/2022 10:29

@VickiG85, @AnxiousJane Me, too. It is awful, isn't it? I had a MC back in November, and an ex had a MMC several years ago, so I just can't stop thinking about it. I frequent Datayze's miscarriage odds reassurer tool, but even that only helps a little. I'd like to just be happy, but I feel like I won't be able to until after a scan - if I go private for one, I'll still need to wait another couple weeks. 🤞 for all of us :)

Unknown2121 · 26/03/2022 10:45

Hey! I know this may seem so random but does anyone know if this is a positive test? Or does it look like an evap?
Congratulations to everyone
Much love

Unknown2121 · 26/03/2022 10:46

Here’s the test

Due November 2022!
Due November 2022!
AnxiousJane · 26/03/2022 10:56

@birdtree18 I'm so sorry you've had MC and MMC ❤ you're definitely not alone in not being able to just feel happy. Everything crossed all will continue to be well for us all 🤞 xx

AnxiousJane · 26/03/2022 10:59

@Unknown2121 it looks like a positive, did that appear in the timeframe? You're best to test first thing in a morning, and I've seen on the TTC board the pink line tests can give more reassurance so maybe do another in the morning. That's what I did ☺️ fingers crossed for you xx

Lou2022 · 26/03/2022 11:03

Hey all can I jump on. I'm due 24th November I think. 3rd pregnancy- have a daughter who's 18 months and had a miscarriage in October. How is everyone doing? My sickness is unfortunately already very bad at 5+2 😭 spent all of last night vomitting had no sleep at all!

Unknown2121 · 26/03/2022 11:10

@AnxiousJane thank you!! I’m gonna try get a couple red dye tests today

MiniJc · 26/03/2022 12:01

Hey lovely ladies! Thank you for the welcome :) How is everyone feeling today? Xx

TheBirdintheCave · 26/03/2022 12:03

@Lou2022 Aww that’s my son’s birthday :) Congratulations!

You're right it can ruin it. Once I've had my bloods and discussed this annoying pain that comes and goes I'm going to try and enjoy as I was anxious my last pregnancy too and don't want to be the same!
I currently have Covid so got to avoid doctors and hospitals at the mo. Once I'm free I'm going to get some advice!

sarahj878 · 26/03/2022 12:40

@iwanttogototheseaside poor you, I’ve got covid too, have you been poorly with it? How far along are you? They still saw me at EPU for blood test and scan after I told them my covid result

2in2022 · 26/03/2022 12:50

Hi everyone
Hope it’s ok to join you all as I’ve been lurking for a little bit. Got my BFP last weekend & I think I’m due around 26th November.
At how many weeks did people start having their booking appointments? With my first I was sent to an early bird class around 6 weeks and a booking appointment at around 7/8 weeks. But yesterday when I called my doctors to remind myself of the process, the receptionist said I couldn’t book in until I was 9 weeks (she wasn’t aware this was my second pregnancy) so I wondered if this had changed? It worried me a little as I thought some of the blood tests needed to be done before 10 weeks and felt booking in at 9 may have been pushing it a little.

Hope everyone is well
