I am currently 38+5 with my first and I am just curious really when your first finally got here!

Everyone keeps telling me, 'oh its your first, she will be really late', but just wondering how true that actually is?!

Been having the odd BH's and backache since about 37 and a half weeks, but other than that no signs so far! Baby has been 3/5 engaged since about week 35, and was still the same at my 38 week tuesday just gone.

My first came at 38+5 and my second on his due date. Am hoping my third comes somewhere in between Smile

34+1

DoctorBambino · 21/01/2022 14:36

Waters went at 37 weeks exactly and baby arrived 37 weeks and 1 day

BuchananBabies · 21/01/2022 17:01

My first I went in to labour at 38+2 but we had went for a walk and I fell in some mud so that may have started labour 🙈.

She wasn't born until 38+5 though because my contractions stopped and I had to have waters broken and a drip to restart them.

I don't really want the midwives hand up me unnecessarily which is why I'm not consenting to a sweep until I feel I am ready but could use a nudge. I believe the baby will come when it's ready anyway.

I was shopping just now and had contractions. Was grimacing through my mask (thank god for them) They've stopped now! I still don't think anything's gonna happen for a while but we'll see!

33 weeks 4 days

MintyGreenDream · 21/01/2022 17:13

Had to be induced, thought id have to light a fire and smoke him out tbh

positivevibesonly22 · 21/01/2022 17:15

Exactly 42 weeks but was induced at 41+12days.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 21/01/2022 17:33

My first arrived 10 days early, @winterbabyrose, so it definitely isn’t true that first babies always come late. In fact, I never went to 40 weeks with any of my three.

Sleepy86 · 21/01/2022 18:04

39+1 and she was 8lb9oz, soooo glad I didn't go over! 😱😂

A580Hojas · 21/01/2022 18:08

40+5, induced.

Snoringmonkey · 21/01/2022 20:57

40+10, the day after my second sweep.

Somerandomgirl · 21/01/2022 21:04

41+6 via section 🙈 probably would have stayed longer if we waited more

Emmab321 · 21/01/2022 21:08

40+12 via induction

sunnybunnyy · 21/01/2022 21:09

37+4, I hadn't even started my maternity leave

DramaAlpaca · 21/01/2022 21:09

Spontaneously at 39+2.

blyn72 · 21/01/2022 21:09

I only had one and he arrived five days early, two hours after my arrival in hospital.

yeowemetwelvepegs · 21/01/2022 21:11

41+3, via c section

PinkandBlueMotherofTwo · 21/01/2022 21:43

39+4 with my first.

40+1 with my second but had on off latent phase from 39+5 (awful! Always second babies from anecdotal evidence. And I had a sweep at 39+6 which was agonising as I was contracting and did f-all to chivvy things on so wouldn’t recommend a sweep as baby comes when baby wants. Was fast 2hr labour unplanned homebirth when it got going for real but still!)

SantoPalo · 21/01/2022 21:47

Wowcherarestalkingme · 21/01/2022 21:58

MuchTooTired · 21/01/2022 22:06

36+5 but an elcs due to severe pe. I don’t think they had any intention of being born anytime soon without intervention.

mishmased · 21/01/2022 22:16

40+14

PumpkinPie2016 · 22/01/2022 10:17

Exactly on time!

He would have been a day early had they nor faffed about for so long before realising that he was far too big for me to deliver naturally and did a c-section.

He was a big baby - 9lb 6oz, so I wonder if that makes a difference.
