Cathiigomes · 10/01/2022 15:00

Yep! & even though most people might disagree i will not be getting the vaccine while pregnant

Cathiigomes · 10/01/2022 15:02

Sorry forgot to say the reason!
Reason is because i dont want it, didn't want it before i got pregnant and defo don't want it now

Unknown6 · 10/01/2022 15:08

I had the first 2 vaccines, I haven't had the booster yet, but I will as soon as I'm past the 12 week mark.
I know you asked about unvaccinated, but I just wanted to say why I'm delaying booster.

Toottooot · 10/01/2022 15:10

What publication is this for?

PurpleDaisies · 10/01/2022 15:11

Why are you asking?

There have been hundreds of these threads. You could easily look them up.

ShrimpingViolet · 10/01/2022 15:13

God not this crap again

Well at least you have a good, well thought out reason @Cathiigomes 😂😂😂😂
Cathiigomes · 10/01/2022 15:23

@Liathroid good enough ;)

MONSTERSALAD · 10/01/2022 15:29

I'm pregnant and vaccinated because I want to know I've done everything in my power to be around for my toddler, DH, and unborn baby. Also because I understand peer review processes and the value of evidence-based medicine and don't get my information from my mad uncle Keith's FB page.

HTH.

Aldidl · 10/01/2022 15:48

Radio 4 were covering the mandatory vaccinations for NHS staff and I was shocked to hear how many midwives are unvaccinated! I don’t know why that shocked me more than other caring professions. Something about how vulnerable your patients are and how intimately close you are with them and how much they’re trusting and relying on you. And how many pregnant women are cautious about getting vaccinated. Ugh. I’ve been completely on the fence, but that stat got me a bit.

Pyewhacket · 10/01/2022 21:36

Spend a day with me and you'll be fighting to get to the front of the Queue.

poppy8989 · 10/01/2022 21:36

@Fallagain

@poppy8989 Your question was tedious, done to death and goady. I'm not surprised you got sarcastic replies.
Also... "Come on women. Do better"?!! My eyes rolled even further back reading that than they did when I read your first post.

poppy8989 · 10/01/2022 21:37

@Pyewhacket
Hello. This is fact is a question and nothing more. It's not an argument. Not asking people to judge others ect. Just a question.

@EewwwDavid women and men do better

Same as @MONSTERSALAD
Why risk it?

June1999 · 10/01/2022 21:41

I have a 4 week old baby and just had my first vaccine. I wasn’t vaccinated through out my pregnancy as I didn’t like the change in information etc . Towards the end I did cut contact down and avoided seeing people and going to busy places. Although I’ve currently got covid so was very lucky to not of caught it towards the end of pregnancy as I think from what midwives were saying it can be dangerous for pregnant women in third trimester.

Fallagain · 10/01/2022 21:43

I don’t understand why someone would be asking this unless it’s for an article or to use validate their unwise decision. If it was to help you make a decision then would be asking why people did or didn’t and reading or asking some to explain to you peer reviewed research. I’ve seen someone baby have to come early and the stress of having an ill new born who was unable to breath by themselves. Please make your decision based in medical research.

poppy8989 · 10/01/2022 21:43

@June1999
Thank you for your reply. It's nice that someone just wanted to answer it kindly.
I appreciate it and congratulations 🥳

Also might I add I've got two children that were born in the pandemic. The first time there was no vaccine available and I did everything to stay safe so when I was pregnant the second time during pandemic I did the same thing did my best to stay safe etc and as hadn’t had any vaccine the first time chose not to the second time as also I understand there is risks to having covid when pregnant I also didn’t feel comfortable with the side affects the vaccine could long term cause to the baby.

June1999 · 10/01/2022 21:46

Thank you!! @poppy8989

poppy8989 · 10/01/2022 21:48

@Fallagain
Absolutely not for research. Just simply a question and I have spoken to many friends/ family members who all have different opinions. Considering this is a site where people ask questions, I thought I would ask and see what people said.
It's such a shame how people are so rude to others they don't know online.
And for anyone who doesn't know another person's situation it's sad how many people judge too.
Wouldn't it just be nice to be nice 😊
