Hey all,
Josiah had his 6 week check up today.. all is well with him.. doc said he could be teething as she can feel something coming through.. although he has been good with it.. he has a little hernia on his belly button but not a cause of concern. They will check again when he is 2 years old...
his weight has dipped slightly. Not sure why but got to get him checked again in a couple weeks.. other then that all good. Now I have his immunisations on Friday 🤦🏽‍♀️not looking forward to it

Aww glad it went ok @jadey1991 does his belly button look bad? What do we do with breastfeeding when the teeth come through 😅

I just found out after a general chat with my husband that they marked Matthew down as a girl on his paperwork after birth. I was in theatre and he mentioned when the doctor came to tell him how my placenta removal and PPH management went, they said “she’s lovely” about the baby which puzzled my husband and then in the ward after the nurse said oh they’ve marked him down as female I’ll fix that 🙄 I don't remember any of this. Hospitals eh??

jadey1991 · 23/02/2022 14:02

@2020mission no his belly button looks like an outtie. It's raised slightly...oh hun believe me it doesn't hurt when there teeth come through unless they bite down on it. I breastfed my youngest daughter till she was 3. It was difficult to get her off. It was only till I had surgery that she had to come off because the medication I was on..
Oh no did they really. They did that to my sister when she gave birth to my nephew. They had him down as female when clearly he was a boy when boy bits.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is okay!
Pram question..we take little one out in the carry cot pram thing. Keeps her cosy and warm but she only does 20 minutes in it before she twists as she likes seeing out. She can't do this lying flat.
I've looked and you can use the seated pushchair bit from newborn but I worry that she's still too little and will be cold. How are your little ones managing pushchairs/prams? We've got the mamas and papas ocarro.

jadey1991 · 24/02/2022 18:48

@Theawkwardblonde hey hun. To be honest I haven't used Josiah in his cot pram bit but this turns into the seated pushchair. I use the car seat. When I'm out and about with him. To be fair he sleeps when I go out for a walk x

@Theawkwardblonde and I am ok thanks. I had my physio today. I have healed well but my pelvic floor exercises ain't great at the mo. When she examined me she said inside was inflamed🤦🏽‍♀️

OP posts:
2020mission · 24/02/2022 19:46

@Theawkwardblonde Matthew almost always just falls asleep in the pram (carry cot) for the duration we are out so we don't have any issues with it. I'd be ok with putting him into our pram seat in its most reclined position if it was spring/summer and the weather was better. Do you have a footmuff for the seat attachment? I've seen the ocarro and I'm sure it would be ok. I've got the Joie Versatrax which didn't come with a footmuff but I don't reckon I'll need it since he'll be in it mostly in good weather I think.

jadey1991 · 26/02/2022 10:42

Hi ladies and your beautiful babies...
Hope everyone is ok....❤️❤️
Just an update from me... Thursday I had my first lot of physio, my pelvic floor isn't working properly.. so I have a long year of getting it back to normal.. I have my next one on march 7th..
Yesterday Josiah had his first lot of immunisations. It broke my heart to see him cry so much. When we got home he did not settle what so ever. I've not heard him cry so much since having him. This morning he seems ok and himself so I'm hoping everything will be ok.

I have my dad and his partner coming over for dinner tonight so that will be nice.
What is everyone's plan for weekend x

Hi @jadey1991, it's awful when they have their immunisations, Dexter cried so much 😞 will warn you he was also not himself for a good few days afterwards, I think he was suffering with a bit of diarrhoea from the rota virus vaccine. Dreading the next ones.
I had to have pelvic floor treatment after having my first, mine was so bad I was having trouble holding my wee in! It recovered quickly though and got totally back to normal so don't worry too much.
Dexter is 11 weeks today and has turned into such a happy little baby, smiling and cooing constantly, it's so lovely! He's also started letting me know when he wants to go to bed at night and last night he went down at 7pm and didn't wake up until midnight! He then tends to wake evey couple of hours through the rest of the night but I'm just so relieved he seems to be starting to sleep a bit longer. Hope everyone else is doing well x

2020mission · 26/02/2022 11:54

Aww @jadey1991 could you tell if your pelvic floor isn't working well without physio confirming? I'm not sure how mines is. I've completely neglected to work the muscles postpartum I did try and do them daily during late pregnancy.

Did you give Josiah his calpol straight after his immunisations? I'm asking as I'm not sure if you watch for a fever first or just give it from the get go. We still don't have his new immunisations appointment in yet so it's going to be at 10 weeks earliest now 😬 bloody raging at the gp and pharmacy still for screwing it up for us with the prescription! I'm not looking forward to all the crying. Hope wee Josiah is ok today.

jadey1991 · 26/02/2022 12:21

@burtle4 oh really so I will defo keep an eye on Josiah. I noticed Josiah had some diarrhoea last night too. I will keep an eye on that too.
Glad the treatment helped you. Yes I cannot hold in my wee for long now. There has been times I have wee'd myself a little bit.
Also because I tore so badly tmi ** I don't know when I'm passing wind. So that is sooooo embarrassing...
Glad Dexter is doing well and settling well. Josiah normally sleeps during the night with one feed in night and nappy change.

OP posts:
jadey1991 · 26/02/2022 12:25

@2020mission yes hun because I couldn't hold my pee in long enough... I've had accidents. Plus with a 3rd degree tear you have to have physio to strengthen the muscles..

Yes as soon as I got home I gave him 2.5ml calpol.. then 5 hours later I gave him another 2.5ml because he felt hot and was in discomfort.

Don't worry hun, I had to wait 10weeks to.
Josiah is now 10 weeks 3 days old and he only got them done yesterday...

Josiah is ok today. He seems his normal self slightly whingy but it's to be expected.

How's your little one? X

2020mission · 01/03/2022 19:28

Sorry so slow at replying here lately 😅 so we went to the 6 week appointment (at 9 weeks) and the doctor literally asked me nothing about myself. She quickly examined Matthew and sent us on our way. Not even a mention of contraceptives. Decided to ask about my iron levels being checked and she just said I can book another appointment once I've finished my current supplements if I want them checked.

No immunisations appointment through yet but he's 3.94kg now so I reckon he'll be on the normal dose by the time we go as he'll be over 4kg.

@jadey1991 I hope the physio helps! I'm still bleeding. It stopped at 9 weeks for 5 days but yesterday started spotting and today a light bleed again. It never ends! We've still not DTD 😆

Hope you're all doing ok

jadey1991 · 01/03/2022 21:19

@2020mission yes it's the same as me hun, she didn't examine me... to be fair I'm still waiting for my 6 week check... she didn't mention nothing to me about contraceptive's either.... have your tried to call to doctors about his immunisations? They should be booking them for....
No bleeding for me since birth...
We are all ok over here.. Josiah will be 11 wells tomorrow. Can't believe how big he is xx

Hello josiah beautiful boy. Hes grown so much. Im glad hes doing well. How are you @jadey1991 ?
Leola is 3 months tomorrow, 13 weeks on Friday. She has her second lot of jabs next Tuesday. I believe she is teething but apart from that she's a happy girl 😊 hope everyone and their babies are doing well. Cant remember the name of the lady who had twins? but I hope shes doing well too. Im intrigued how people manage 2 babies at the same time when I struggle to get the 1 into a routine 😄

Curlymam88 · 02/03/2022 14:00

Leola and I say hello 😊

@jadey1991 thank you for the kind comments but I dont feel it lately 🤣 we had a free photo shoot and photo on the weekend so I thought I'd treat myself get my hair and make up done...I hated everything she did! Not sure if it was all the in thing now but I felt old and out of touch with everything.
I'm glad you're both doing well and I read you've started your physio, I hope it works soon for you.
I do pop on now and again and try read the comments but some times there's so many to catch up on I think I won't but in and interrupt when I've only half read whats going on 🤣

Curlymam88 · 03/03/2022 07:27

The photo shoot we had free when we bought our pram. Free photo shoot and 1 free photo. Although they took about 40 photos which you can buy if we want. I looked at the price list they gave me and they were asking for over 300 quid for 1 photo in a frame. Terrible prices which I won't be paying. I think im going to refuse to look at all the photos especially the ones of just the 2 girls together.

jadey1991 · 03/03/2022 08:37

@Curlymam88 aww bless you hun. To be honest that's how I feel. I'm only
In my 30's and I'm feeling old... aww that's nice. I would love to get a professional photo of my 3 kids done. I probs will next month... physio is going ok, I mean it was my first session but my pelvic floor muscles ain't working properly. So I'm hoping this can be fixed🤦🏽‍♀️... I have my next session on 7th march...
oh my that is a lot of money.. I wouldn't do that myself to be fair. If I can money behind me then yeah maybe buy one but right now I can't afford £300 on just a photo...

I'm glad your all well... I can't believe how much hair leola has... josiah's hair is growing but slowly lol x

Same here im 34 in July. Not really that old lol. Im sure the physio will strengthen your muscles, did they give you exercises to do at-home?
I know, 8f that was for all of the photos then not so bad but just for 1 is ridiculous. Especially since my electricity bill has increased so much its more than what my rent is !!
Yea, she got so much hair its coming from all directions! It can look a bit messy some days. She plays with her hair when she's ready to fall asleep 🤣
Thays a lovely photo, you look lovely and fresh faced. I remember you posted a bump photo and you looked fresh faced then too 😊

jadey1991 · 03/03/2022 09:32

@Curlymam88 aww bless you, still young like me..yes I do some at home exercises. I had to download an app called squeezey..
Oh my that ridiculous, I do my gas and electric as pay and go.. so I know it will cost me more too. I can't believe your paying more then your rent..
in London apparently we will be getting some kind of loan toward our energy bill. I don't know if it's the same for you. ( sorry can't remember your area)..
Isn't that so sweet, she plays with her hair. Josiah sucks on his hand when he is tired but he won't take to a dummy. 🤦🏽‍♀️...

Aww thanks hun, yes I remember that pic. I'm sure that was in the first thread lol

OP posts:
Curlymam88 · 03/03/2022 09:55

I think we might try change our meter to pay as you go. Its ridiculous amount of money theyre asking. Im in wales ive not heard of that but ill tell my other half to have a look thank you.
Thats strange aont it, maybe he doesn't like the plastic feeling and prefers his soft hand. Leolahas to livk her dummy first before she has it. She doesn't like a dry dummy 🤣
For some reason shes gone to drinking 2 ounces every 2 to 3 hours sonot sure what thats all about unless its to do with her gums? She got jabs Tuesday so ill ask them then when they do her weight.
