Hello,

Just found out we are pregnant after 13 months of trying - based on last period will be due august 19th.

Any others with similar time like to join to support one another?

@Rainmother Also five weeks today! 👋🏼

@rosesarereddish So sorry to hear that, not a fun start to Christmas Eve! With regards to covid and early pregnancy - from what I’ve read, covid is a concern in the third trimester. Personally, I was totally reassured about early pregnancy. Still, not what you need when you’re pregnant and about to leave for Christmas plans and hope you don’t feel poorly.

@Hannabanana2021 Hope you’re ok. Great that you’re going to be seen. I had mild cramping up until yesterday when it really ramped up and I’ve been having on and off pains for the last 24 hours or so. Slept ridiculously long last night and so far, no spotting so I’m chalking it down to implantation etc. Feels like there’s a lot going on in there! My stomach was also quite bad around 4 weeks, could be hormones. Hope you feel better soon.
I'm hoping it's just digestion or I've pulled something. It's very hard to describe, the pain is radiating around my sides to the left and into my back, travelling up the side of my abdomen to the left and down into my pelvis/groin upper thigh area, also to the left. More a strong ache resembling the after pains of a bad cramp in the calf rather than menstrual type cramping x

Pearldrops04 · 24/12/2021 09:42

@netflixandnochill, yeh I’m just doing the easy@home cheapies so to not spend a fortune in tests Blush plus I’ve done them all along, ever since my BFP so at least I know there’s some consistency with them.

I really need to book in for a private early scan, still haven’t done that. I’m just not sure when to do it for? I’ll be 6 weeks next Saturday, ideally I’d like them to see a heartbeat etc there and then so I don’t have to keep going back (though I’ll likely do that anyway 😅) but DH and I are both back to work on the 4th, we then have guests up the weekend after, argh. There are some slots still left for Sunday the 2nd Jan but I’ll only be 6+1 so just not sure whether to book or not but I think I will.

Still haven’t registered with a midwife or anything Blush for some reason I just keep thinking it’ll jinx things Blush Will probably book in next week.

Pearldrops04 · 24/12/2021 09:46

Wishing everyone with cramps well. I’m still getting period like cramps a couple of times a day, I panic every time, especially the evening one as it tends to be quite strong but again, am just trying not to worry as from all of the research I’ve done it seems very normal/ common. It’s something that people don’t really talk about though as something that happens during early pregnancy.

netflixandnochill · 24/12/2021 09:50

@Pearldrops04 I’ve registered and got my booking in app on the 14th Jan and scan on 14th Feb.

Booked a harmony test at 10 weeks (actually 10 + 3 in case the dates aren’t right as they won’t do it until at least 10 weeks). I’d love to get one around 8 weeks but I’m in two minds about it. I think I probably will end up doing it but haven’t booked anything for.

I self referred to Kingston - is anyone else registered there?

Pearldrops04 · 24/12/2021 10:02

Just went to self-refer to the midwife and can’t until I’m 6 weeks so that’s that decision made for me, lol. Kind of glad as I’d feel better doing it once I hit the 6 week mark I think, will feel a slightly bit safer/ more real next weekend.

Wishing you all a good Christmas Eve.

Prayingforabubba · 24/12/2021 12:11

@rosesarereddish that sucks! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

@Hannabanana2021 I've not had any symptoms at All. I think cramps are very normal in early pregnancy. I'm sure it's just bubba getting nice and comfy in there! X so hard not to worry.

@Pearldrops04 I took my final test today. I've taken 27 in total. The line progression obsession is starting to stress me out along with the fact that I have 0 symptoms. I've decided that I will just accept that what will be , will be and try and book an early scan for next week. I think you should be able to see a hb at 6+1

@netflixandnochill @Rainmother

I'm a day behind you at 4+6!

I think I will book in with a midwife after my scan in January when I should be 7+ 2

beckybloomwood11 · 24/12/2021 12:46

Hi all, joining in as I got my BFP yesterday. I'm 6 weeks according to last period - did a couple of tests 10 days ago and negative, then caught COVID so didn't really think about being pregnant until Wednesday when I realised I was really late and should probably do another test! 4 tests just to "double check" later and definitely pregnant Grin

Hope everyone is doing well. Really nice to have company with others at similar stages!

CoalCraft · 24/12/2021 13:34

Had a bit more bleeding today Sad It doesn't panic me, but it does give me a feeling of like sorrow or disappointment. I so want to experience a trouble-free pregnancy.

Feeling a bit rubbish today anyway as my mum is having a major operation today (is under the scalpel right now, in fact) and I feel a bit scared and stressed about that too. Going to try and distract myself by doing some online clothes shopping for DD.

Symptom-wise, boobs don't seem to be hurting as much but it does come and go and they were a bit sore overnight. Felt a bit sick after my lunch but tbh could be because I ate too much Blush

Surprised at people saying they need to contact midwife or that they can't until 6 weeks - mine won't do booking appointments till 8 weeks!

surprised12 · 24/12/2021 14:30
@surprised12 due date twins.

How are you feeling? Any symptoms?
Boobs sore, tired, sick, metal taste that comes and goes, bloated.... that's about it ha!!

Have you?

netflixandnochill · 24/12/2021 14:42

@CoalCraft Hope all goes well with your mum and wishing her a speedy recovery! 🤍

Dontsaykwen · 25/12/2021 01:02

Hey everyone hope you had a nice Christmas Eve. Week 5 today and had stabbing pain in my boob which is weird and some articles say normal but others say it’s not.
The cramping thing is weird it’s supposed to be normal but hard not to worry…and just all the different types of twinges…..I’ve never had so many weird feelings in my stomach over a 7 day period 😅

madeleine85 · 25/12/2021 05:09

Firstly happy Xmas everyone, I hope you all have wonderful days with your loved ones ❤️.

Secondly, I hope you don’t mind me joining, due sep 4, but no thread yet. My DD was 6 weeks premie so let’s optimistically say I’m due late august 😂. I’m only 13 dpo today, BFP came at 10 dpo but seems to be progressing 🤞. I’m with the in laws for Xmas though and I’ve run out of easy at home tests to see the line on the same type of tests. Tomorrow’s option is a clear blue yes or no type digital with no line, so I’ll be a bit nervy to not over analyze that. Considering wasting a different brand and doubling up m but let’s see 😂.

I’m noticing a lot of cramping, no af yet, definitely in the awake at 5am club. With dd she was unplanned and we found out at 5-6 weeks which feels like it’s so far away right now. My other weird side effect with both is less hair loss in the shower. Like I’ve gone from finding a small animal each day to 3 strands, so now I’m both terrified to shower/manically counting hairs. God help me 🤦‍♀️.

Hope you’re all feeling great and I’m wishing everyone a healthy and happy 9 months x

Digby86 · 25/12/2021 05:21

Just hopping on to say merry Christmas to all you lovely ladies!! I haven’t caught up on all the updates, as have been busy with festivities, but will get up to speed when I have a mo.

Lilipa · 25/12/2021 08:43

Hi everyone!
Hope you don't mind me joining.
I'm due on the 28th of August.
I had an embryo transfer with IVF.
I have a healthy 3 year old and have had 3 recurrent really miscarriages after having her.
I have literally no symptoms in this pregnancy and this is worrying me a bit, even though I had beta hCG tests last Thursday was 784.

Today I woke up with intense period cramps and I'm really worried. I had a dinner last night and I was cooking really complicated recipes and I felt exhausted by the end of the night so I'm hoping I didn't do anything bad to the baby. Sad I had no cramps and no pain till now but these cramps are keeping me in bed today and I'm so scared something bad is happening.

Pearldrops04 · 25/12/2021 08:56

Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy your day! X

pollyparrot45 · 25/12/2021 11:10

Please can I join? Just had a BFP yesterday after 12 long months trying for baby No.2!

I've had some light bleeding for the past few days and praying it's implantation and nothing bad. My GP has cancelled all non urgent care until the new year so I'm on my own hoping it clears up.

Keeping everything crossed I'm going to have this august baby!

Beth262 · 25/12/2021 12:07

Merry Christmas everyone and welcome & congratulations to our new joiners. Will catch up on everyone's posts properly later xx

Merry Christmas everyone!

Busy one here trying to cook everything and make sure 9 month old is entertained and having a nice first Christmas 🥰 told in-laws today, will tell my mum and sisters tomorrow as we are all together 🥰🥰

netflixandnochill · 26/12/2021 08:50

Morning all,

Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday!

I’m 5 + 2 today and am still feeling rubbish… I think what’s most worrying for me is that I don’t know what I’m supposed to be feeling or if it’s ok.

My boobs are barely touchable they’re so sore, even hugging DH hurts, I feel sick every couple of hours for about an hour and I have intermittent cramps and twinges. Is this all normal?! I’ve not actually been sick yet, just get a lot of gas alongside the nausea.

If anyone has any tips for the above, let me know!

Hiya. I'm sure it is perfectly normal. I'm 6 weeks (i think) and wish I had more symptoms. DH and I had booked a table at a restaurant yesterday for dinner and let's just say my dinner really didn't agree with me at all. Apart from slightly sensitive nipples and very occasional nausea I feel normal which causes me anxiety.
Everything I read suggests everyone is different though and loads of people report having really sore boobs so I don't think you should worry (easy for me to say) 😊
