How far along are you? I know it feels like the worst right now, but it does pass.

I feel your pain regarding the migraines as well. They are just the worst, aren't they? I have awful ones, and paracetamol is so shit, but they don't last forever. Hang in there.

Rekorderlig88 · 12/12/2021 19:54

Can you phone your Gp there are safe meds you can try.
I felt so awful with my first baby the thought of not proceeding. Crossed my mind but it passes

Harlequin1088 · 12/12/2021 19:54

Oh my dear. How far along are you? Please don't suffer in silence - speak to your doctor or midwife, they can prescribe anti-sickness tablets. Sending you love.

poppy8989 · 12/12/2021 20:04

I do t no how far gone I am yet. Supose to be seeing the doctor for the first time tomorrow but Iv never been so sick. I'm terrified and so depressed. Never felt so scared like this. I can't even keep a sip of water down and my head hurts so bad I can't deal with it anymore.
My 3 year old son is so sad that I'm in bed all day being sick. I feel I can't do this

I was similar, OP. The doctor helped with anti sickness tablets which worked really well. I started feeling better v v quickly.

StarsandStones · 12/12/2021 20:10

This sounds like Hyperemesis gravidarum. Please make clear tomorrow how you feel and that you can't even keep water in.

I know there are specific threads on this topic on MN.

And yes, there is (baby safe) medication available, several even! If one doesn't work, go back for something else. Ask how quick the medication should kick in.

Understandable your DS is sad. But is there someone who can help? Husband, partner? Maybe someone else who can help during the day?

I'm so so much that I feel I could just pass out. My head hurts more than Iv ever felt before from keep throwing up.
Iv even googled if women terminate because of this. That's how sad and depressed I am.
I can't stop crying either. I'm so sorry to write all this on here but I'm so scared

normanthegonk · 12/12/2021 20:51

I considered terminating. ..but medication will help I promise you. Please get help.

poppy8989 · 12/12/2021 20:55

I have terrible health anxiety so I know taking any pills might not be possible.
I need this to get better. I can't carry on like this. Iv had a sip of water and it just comes back up almost Instant

Have you tried flat lemonade?

StarsandStones · 12/12/2021 21:36

I do not want to overly worry you. But a termination is also 'medical', so will also trigger your health anxiety. It may be that a prescription from the GP is the better option.
Do you have any help?

StarsandStones · 12/12/2021 21:39

Do you have a face to face meeting with the GP? Or via telephone?

If you can't make it somehow, make sure there is a phone consultation or a midwife or suchlike visiting. You need help!

AgathaMystery · 12/12/2021 21:41

OP you need to contact an out of hours GP. If your sickness is really severe you might need admitting to hospital for rehydration. This is something that happens to a lot of women and I know it’s scary (been there myself). The most important thing is to get rehydrated. You can also contact Pregnancy Sickness Support who can provide you with advice and a peer supporter. However, your best bet is 111 or out of hrs GP tonight. You do not need to suffer this this I promise.

normanthegonk · 12/12/2021 21:44

I agree with @AgathaMystery. I ended up in hospital on a drip...If you can't drink it will get worse. call 111

Derbee · 13/12/2021 08:11

@poppy8989 please go and join the HG support thread in the Pregnancy section. They are all so kind and helpful. I wouldn’t have got through my sickness without the support and advice on there. It’s been amazing.

megletthesecond · 13/12/2021 08:17

I understand. It's a truly wretched condition.
See your GP. They need to prescribe something as at the least you need to be keeping water down and having small snacks.
I was prescribed Avomine 14yrs ago. It was officially a travel sickness pill but it did the trick for my sickness. It did make me proper sleepy so I'd take it around 6pm, get my toddler to bed and once the tablet was working I'd eat tea then crash our asleep.
I do hope you feel much better in a couple of days Flowers.

StarsandStones · 13/12/2021 18:17

Hope you are feeling better today. Hope you got help as well. Flowers

poppy8989 · 13/12/2021 22:16

Currently still in hospital. They've given me drips to be on and I'm still feeling very sick but hoping I will feel better soon. Thank you

I’m so glad you’ve got help. Pregnancy Sickness Support has a page for HCP to look to for the cascade of interventions. Very useful if they don’t have a dedicated HGD nurse or midwife. There are lots and lots of drugs in their Arsenal for you - make sure you get the right combo before going home and don’t go home without the drugs. Please x

normanthegonk · 14/12/2021 06:39

So glad you got help. how are you feeling today?

Beamur · 14/12/2021 06:48

You poor thing! It's rotten to feel so unwell.
This happened to a friend of mine, she did feel a bit better in the later half of her pregnancy but was very sick and in hospital a few times in the first few months. Hang on there! Hopefully they can give you something to make it more bearable.

poppy8989 · 14/12/2021 16:20

Today is a very bad day. Haven't kept anything down, no food or drink. I have questioned if I can go through with this. Iv been so sick that it's black and more than painful. I don't know what to do. Can I do this? Will I always regret this
