I did that when DS was little @Kate105, he had been sleeping in alright chunks and I was like 'you're such a little shitbag what is wrong with you'. Then realised he was cold, felt a bit bad, swapped out his sleeping bag and 👌🏻 back to better chunks! Also a dream feed was a good move for him as he didn't really like milk so was a pain to feed but ok at it if mainly asleep

Well @larrythelizard TSD is obviously a delicate flower because he's now contravening every safe sleep guideline and sleeping in a vest, babygrow, 1 tog swaddle, cellular blanket (folded so technically 2 layers) and then pure wool blanket (again doubled) to top him off 😂🙈 all this in a room which is 18-19 degrees according to our gro egg!

Oh I've never been so pleased to stop using the gro egg when we moved DS' room this summer, it's a taunting little fucker especially in the summer. Yes, I know it's hot, no, there's not much I can do about it, thanks for being bright red!

@blackcurrantqueen honestly it was vile😂😂 put me off my whole breakfast!! Gutted to because I love eggs

@kaylsd like Larry said, try not to panic, I know that's easier said than done, but old blood is definitely better than bright red blood, spotting can be normal in early pregnancy! Could you try and get an early scan today/tomorrow if you can't get hold of epu, I know places around me are open 7 days a week!

@larrythelizard I really hope that's the case for us!!🤞🏼 don't worry about the cb weeks thing I've read that they can be pretty inaccurate, I did a weeks one on the 1st December when I was 4+4 and got a 2-3 then did one again on the 5th when I was 5+1 and still got a 2-3, I waited a full a week before doing it again because I was so nervous and got a 3+, maybe I would've got it if I'd have done it at 5+2 or 5+3 but I'm glad I waited a whole week to save myself the worry!! Give yourself a bit longer x

@larrythelizard @kate105 @vil10 EPAU at my trust have got me in for a scan at 11:05, thank you ladies trying not to worry but I just felt like I could have crumbled this morning waking up and seeing that 🥺 let’s hope it’s just a little baby getting comfortable than anything else

@blackcurrantqueen it's kinda behind his ear/neck so states ENT on the letter. Yes you're right @Minster2012 it actually had "TWW" on the letter and he was like I don't know what that means 😆 oh I do and the ladies on here too!

Hope it's nothing with the boiler @Vil10 the timing of these things is always the worst! I've also had an egg aversion in the first trimester. Not so bad now but if I did so much as thought or egg or fish I felt sick.

@larrythelizard I wouldn't worry too much about the 3+ some people don't get them. Have you got your booking appointment sorted yet?

Try not to worry @kaylsd old blood is much less of a worry generally than fresh red blood. Sending a hug though coz I know it's bloody stressful. Will think of you for your scan. x

@kaylsd I would give some one a ring, Altho I had bleeding and it was external- have you had sex? Strained pooing? Possible UTI? I've spotted for all of those! Xx

@kaylsd spotting and old blood can be common in early pregnancy but it's brilliant they've got you in for an early scan!!! 💕💕 hope to hear a positive update very soon xx

I'm with you all on the shitty gro eggs. DD born in a heatwave it constantly told me she was going to die of SIDS because the room was so hot. Nothing I could do about it !! Soon unplugged it 😂

@kaylsd honestly spotting at this stage is meant to be completely normal no? I don't think I'd have thought of going to EPU with it! Fingers crossed for you for 11am xxx

@Minster2012 not gonna lie, crouching leper made me think of crouching tiger hidden dragon - not seen that in years!

Nothing to report here - just hoping there's a bean snuggling in nicely as I don't really have any symptoms to confirm it 😅. I keep thinking I'll tell my parents I'm pregnant only to go to that 8 week scan and realise there's nothing in there lol. Anyway my next goal is just getting to tomorrow as I'll be 6 weeks then :)

@larrythelizard which reminds me - without the FF pregnancy milestones chart i honestly wouldn't be able to keep track of how far along I am 😆 so useful!

@bez91 I think it was you who asked if I'm doing a test to find out the sex? I'm getting NIPT testing done at 10 weeks if all goes to plan and as part of that you can opt to find out the sex too!

Hmm mine isn't as useful as that @Juno231 will have to have a play with the settings later

@Minster2012 I don't want to tell DHs family. Once one of them knows, they'll all know. And the ones we see aren't actually his mum and dad (who will need telling first ideally and are not together). Where as if I told my mum, it would go no further than her and my step dad. Yes we had steak! It was amazing. Baby 🐸 likes steak. And I only did a little bit of stilton sauce (in case) but that seemed to go down OK too. Definitely no BJ. 🤣
@Vil10 🤣 it gets worse. And what you like one day you might not like the next! I went to speak to DH when he was working the other day and was like omg what the hell are you eating? It was a cheese and onion sandwich. I swear to god it smelled nothing like that at all. I can't eat garlic any more, that has the strangest taste. And usually I love it. See what I said above about DHs family. Hopefully you can fix the boiler. Mum's started doing that and needed a new part.
@larrythelizard how many dpo are you? I think i was 23 by the time I got my 3+. But some people definitely never do, so it doesn't mean anything. I was 4+4 technically when I got my first 2-3 so if you are only 4 weeks then no, its too early.
FF pregnancy what? Is this available on the free version? I haven't seen that. I do not know what a gro egg is @Kate105 😱
@kaylsd I'm surprised they've agreed to see you. I think it's fairly common early on. I hope the scan goes well.

I weighed myself this morning and I've officially lost half a stone. I do not know how. But at this rate I'm going to waste away. All I keep thinking is about the twilight film, where the baby just took everything from her without giving a shit. 🤣 Stressful times around here but the curtain pole is finally up. Seriously have to wonder about DH though. Who stood saying he didn't like the middle bit as it was a different colour. I was like 🤔?? Its one of those metal ones, but it has a join in the middle, as they do after a certain length. I looked and was like- that's because that piece is meant to go INSIDE the pole, not on the outside. 🤦‍♀️ This is what I have to deal with. He's also thrown chip pan oil all round the garden and over his jeans (just don't even ask) and just generally creates work that doesn't need to be there. On top of which my dog is a moron and wants to be anywhere where he's not supposed to be. I thought I was going to spontaneously combust this morning. 🤣 Oh and the neighbours turned their music up full blast because DH was drilling. 🙄 They are actual twats. The noisiest people known to man (and I never turn my stuff up to retaliate) which we just have to put up with. He literally only drilled one hole too, because he did the rest yesterday (thankfully they were out then). Happy happy happy. 😭🙈🤣

Quick update ladies, small haematoma found likely linked towards the bleeding, measuring behind at 5 weeks 2mm or something? but sac faetal pole and heart beat seen today (at this point I started crying) without having to do a TV managed to do normal abdomen scan, main reasons why I rang EPAU than just going off the spotting is because it started to increase onto pads and had to change frequently but then slowed down but also I did a repeat FRER the last one in the house and it was faint in comparison to other ones so I was just predicting that it was start of a MC and used to being on Gynae as a nurse my head just spun the worst scenario, I'm sorry if I've offended anyone by panicking or fearing the worst with it all.. but Thank you ladies I'm going to take abit of time out from MN as I'm feeling it's all abit overwhelming at the moment, lots of love always xxx

@Kate105 I'm loving my molke bra so hoping they might have a sale after Xmas, @larrythelizard it's like a crop top I can't get any wider straps than this I'm afraid! Don't get down on the 2-3 I know it's so hard as I've been there

@Kate105 I'm sure TSD won't need much therapy, you seem an excellent mum, you will battle temperature forever I'm afraid (are they too hot, too cold or just being a dick???) we worked out quite quickly that X loves to be super warm & actually most babies sleep better If they are slightly on the warmer side most of my friends found that too. He was born in the heat wave & our room was over 30 degrees so I'm surprised he didn't shrivel to a crisp

@kaylsd sending hugs & hoping you've updated, will read on, ahhh you've got a scan excellent heartbeat!! Why would you offend us?? That's what we are here for I would have done exactly the same please don't think you are silly, I think most of us would do. And don't forget I've had a huge hematoma and all is well now & it's resolved

Ah yeah fair enough @paintfairy it's my parents I don't want to tell until I'm sure all is OK as they're overbearing and my mum is a massive gossip. My in-laws are going to be very shocked though! And thanks, yes too early for 3+

DH was just laughing at me as we were having a conversation about my sister having a baby in 2022 and he reminded me that I am also having a baby in 2022 (touch wood and all)...I had completely forgotten - I'm still not sure it's real!

@Lexber I reckon your bump is close to my size and I'm 31 weeks on Tuesday but I am just carrying one 😅
@paintfairy how interesting, when did you find out about your heart shaped womb? I do vaguely remember you talking about this before. Re the Buck's Fizz, its quite low alcohol so you can have some, could even top it up with more orange juice too! I remember Dh offering me a glass of red in my early pregnancy and I was like erm, no thanks 🙄🤣
Can't believe you've lost weight although it does happen in the first trimester esp if you're being sick. I remember being shocked I'd only put on 2lbs, I felt so big! Lol at the twilight reference. Reneesme was the baby name wasn't it 😂

@Vil10 yeah you defo will! All risks lessen loads after then, I kept checking stats and that helped me. Yeah he won't come near you with a bump then, or maybe once he can see/feel them moving. We'd not done it in weeks and did today, hurrah 😄

@Minster2012 my DH isn't great at DIY either and that's the issue. Everything is a drama. But some things we really have to sort ourselves. I've learned to stay out the way though or it ends up in a huge argument. You should see us decorating together! 🙈🤣
@larrythelizard I don't know when it sinks in. It still hasn't for me! Sometimes I completely forget and then remember and think- how ridiculous? Is this actually happening? 🤣
@becarefuloutthere yes Renessmee! 🤣 Thing is- I'm not even being sick! So it's not that. When I had my first scan at the ivf clinic- the consultant actually did that scan and that was the first time I knew about it. I'd had loads of scans at the hospital for the iui and no one ever mentioned it? 🙄 One of my follicle scans during the ivf with a nurse- she said oh you've got (must have called it whatever its official name is) and I was like what? Thinking she'd found a new issue. And she said - a heart shaped uterus. And then I was like oh yeah. Thankful I'd got no new issues. 🤣 I think the only problem with it is- it can cause problems right at the end. Because the baby is big and might not have enough space and is also unable to turn around. So you could end up having a breach baby. It hinges on you though, where the baby is in the womb (I know mine is high up to start with, which is good, but not for that maybe) and where they happen to be when room starts getting tight! I think it is a MC risk too if it's too heart shaped. But I was told mine was under the threshold that's a concern. So who knows if it'll be an issue later. 🤷‍♀️ Some women have babies before even knowing about it and never have a problem.
@kaylsd I'm pleased the scan was reassuring.

Thanks everyone, it all finally feels very real now, finally got that 'this is actually happening' feeling after yesterday's scan. Think it's because we can now put a name to the baby and I didn't realise but as part of the scan they did the 3D version and gave me the video clip. Could see her kicking her legs and waving her arms over her face trying to snuggle in to get comfy, her mannerisms remind me so much of DS as a baby and it all just finally clicked in my head that this one's going to make it 🥰

@lexber definitely possible to lose weight and still look big. I looked huge with DS but didn't start gaining any weight on the scales till I'd nearly hit the 3rd trimester. Not so lucky this time round, only put on 5lbs so far but it does seem to be going on 1lb a week now so scared it won't stop 🙈

@paintfairy just tell DHs family you're hungover from Christmas that will get you out of drinking and a good excuse if you don't feel like eating. Even going home early just say "really sorry guys I still feel like death, definitely never playing drinking games again! We're going to call it a night and head home to bed."

@bez91 it'll be hard for your DH not to worry but just remind him they're probably pushing the urgency to squeeze him in before any potential cancellation of all non urgent hospital things if they're redeployed to cover covid wards again the way things are going.

@paintfairy isn't it bizarre?? Like normal everyday foods that I usually like I just can't stand!! S&V crisps are the only consistently nice thing!! Go you on losing weight without even trying!!

@becarefuloutthere I haven't actually checked stats but maybe I should after this first scan is out the way! I'm excited for it and want it to come round quickly but on the other hand I'm so bloody nervous!!! Yasss to sex today🍆

So got a quick question on the NIPT test as I saw juno I think mention it, does the blood test for this get done at your booking appointment or 12 weeks scan? Or is it something you need to book separately??
