Hey, guess im looking for reassurance, i found out i was pregnant with baby number 5 on Saturday, big shock, didn’t want anymore, my youngest are 6 (will be 7 by the time this one is born) so there were definitely thoughts of, do i want another baby? Can i have another baby? Etc etc, anyway yesterday morning (sorry if tmi) i wiped and got some pink discharge and immediately started crying (given my reaction im fairly certain i want to keep the baby)0 since then the pink has gone to red, still only when i wipe, to brown, back to red and then brown again, i know from previous pregnancies brown blood is nothing to worry about, and it’s mostly brown with a red wipe here n there, and i had a bit heavier red bleed about an hour ago but has now gone back to brown, i have never miscarried naturally (i had a missed miscarriage 7 years ago and had a D&C before any miscarriage symptoms), could i be miscarrying? Implantation bleeding? I am going to ring the doctor tomorrow if i am still spotting but i know from experience that even if i had a scan there probably wouldn’t be a heartbeat yet (im only about 5+2 weeks) which would only make me worry more anyone going through the same? xx

Avie29 · 26/11/2021 20:31

Update, i started bleeding heavier this morning, bright red, and very crampy, but not loosing much, bit less than a period, and pregnancy symptoms have stopped, i think this is start of miscarriage, not heard anything back from gynaecology yet, will keep updating, thank you @shannonl26, im just trying to cling to hope, feels hopeless at the moment though 😞 xx

I am so sorry to read this ❤️❤️❤️ sending you so much love. I hope you're okay
Avie29 · 26/11/2021 22:46

@SunDance21, thank you, im ok 👌🏻 just very confused and worried at the moment, cramps have stopped, and bleeding is still lighter than my period, so that gives me some hope, surely a miscarriage would be heavier? Only thing i can do is wait and see, so frustrating xx

I've had two miscarriages in the last year and both have been really different. I really recommend going to EPU sand having a scan just to make sure that it is definitely a miscarriage. There are stories on here from women with heavy bleed and clots who have a pregnancy that goes to full term.

I really hope you're okay. It's the worst feeling in the world ❤️❤️

Avie29 · 27/11/2021 13:19

Thanks @SunDance21 i am still waiting for a call from gynaecology to book an early scan appointment, hopefully will get one Monday, I don’t have much hope that everything is ok, i no longer have any pregnancy symptoms either, just feel very sad as i know I can’t try again after this (partner doesn’t want anymore children, and neither did i until this unexpected pregnancy) he wanted abortion, so is probably slightly relieved- sounds horrible, he is being really supportive and although probably is relieved has tried to reassure me that baby might still be ok but i doubt he would want to try for one if baby isn’t ok, such a hard situation xx

Update, bleeding has slowed to period like bleeding, and cramps/backache have stopped, i would be 6 weeks now and with my other pregnancies would be feeling very sick but nothing. Will update again after i hear back from gynaecology, do i still go for a scan? I don’t really see much point, pretty sure i have miscarried 😔 xx

i'm so sorry lovely :( thinking of you!

i would go and see what's happening. i know you're probably thinking that you already know the answers but just incase. you got this💘

Trinacham · 28/11/2021 11:23

I think a scan is still needed. I had cramping and bleeding in this pregnancy and assumed the worst. Never had any pregnancy symptoms, no sickness. I'm now 31 weeks. So I believe there's still a chance you might still be pregnant.

Avie29 · 28/11/2021 13:20

Thank you ladies for your hopeful replies, i will still do a scan, i just don’t want to get my hopes up and the scan be even more upsetting, im hoping to hear back tomorrow with an appointment, i have a doctors appointment tomorrow, i booked it originally to let them know i was pregnant and to be referred to midwife so i will let the doctor know the bleeding has become heavier maybe they will get the appointment faster xx

Just wanted to give a few words of hope, with my 4yo i bled very heavy for a few days at 6 weeks, was absolutely heartbroken and thought the worst, but still went for a scan. And there he was on the screen. Perfectly healthy. So fingers crossed for you it isnt bad news!! Sending hugs regardless, its a stressful scary situation to be in xx

Avie29 · 28/11/2021 20:34

Thankyou @Mumofboyss that does give me some hope, im impatient for tomorrow and hopefully a call back with a scan, i think being in limbo is the worst part of all this, i just need to know either way xx

Phone EPU today and see what they say. If you get anymore bleeding you can also go to AandE and in many areas they will book you in for a scan
Avie29 · 29/11/2021 08:51

Hi @SunDance21 i have a telephone appointment with doctor at 9:45, i was referred on Thursday for early scan and am waiting to hear from them with an appointment, but will mention to doctor today the bleeding was heavier over the weekend and hopefully they will speed up the scan, the bleeding has pretty much stopped completely now, not even wearing a pad anymore xx

Good luck ❤️ I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I've read so many peoples stories on bleeding in pregnancy now, and it honestly may not be a miscarriage. Some people bleed heavily for 16 weeks and every pregnancy is different so even if you've not had this before it's not necessarily a miscarriage.

I really hope you get the news you want tomorrow ❤️

just want to say aswell when i was about 3 weeks pregnant i lost so much blood with blood clots, i was bleeding for about 7-8 days and i've made it to 15+2 weeks now so it's possible that everything can be okay. wishing you all the best x
