@rkee welcome and I really hope you've got a sticky bean this time!

AF was due yesterday so I'm just glad I've made it to 4 weeks today. Booked myself a scan for the 4th of Jan (annoyingly I am away over Xmas/Nye so can't fit one in earlier than that unless I have it at 6 weeks which I think is too early for me). Had some nice line progression on the FRER this morning at 13 dpo as well which was good to see.

Due July/August 2022

@Juno231Thank you!

Oh that is lovely line progression. I know what you mean, I feel 7 weeks is too early for the scan too but want to see before telling people 😊

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 08:34

Hey all i am due 6th August!!
and I am just looking for some guidance. I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant and today I have had light pink discharge? Last 2 times I have wiped in the toilet.
Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Aims1991 · 06/12/2021 09:23

@Juno231 I'm booked for a scan at 6+4 only because it was the only date I could get before Christmas so hopefully we can see something and it's not a waste of time🤞🏼

Juno231 · 06/12/2021 09:28

@Aims1991 fingers crossed!! The latest I could do before Xmas is 6+3 but then I'm also worried that if it's bad news I'll be travelling to my parents that day and I'm not sure I could handle that!

Aims1991 · 06/12/2021 09:39

@Juno231 Ano I'm dreading if it's bad news. I told my mum last night because she kept asking what was wrong with me. I've been having cramps for days now and they've stopped today and I'm a nervous wreck! But I done another digital and it's went to 2-3 so I'm happy it's progressed

irishfarmer · 06/12/2021 09:40

@Aims1991 hopefully you see something. The sonographer warned me before hand it was still v early, I was 5+6wks. Saw both sacs but couldn't see anything in one. She wasn't concerned about it and said come back in two weeks. Just be mentally prepared that you might not see much. Those few extra days along could make all the difference though I think they grow 1mm per day at that point

How cautious is everyone being about COVID?

I’m supposed to be going out with friends this weekend but two of my friends have been in contact with people with omicron and another is a Covid denier so not vaxxed at all 🙈 I’m already at higher risk for miscarriage and abnormalities due to my age, and getting a fever (a common Covid symptom) in the first trimester can affect the foetus. Suddenly being crammed into a restaurant in close proximity isn’t really appealing.

Rachae · 06/12/2021 11:18

@Juno231 lovely line progression, congrats!

@Geriatrixia ohhh if it was me, I'd cancel to be honest. That does sound a little high risk. My sister and her partner are anti-vaxers and if I'm still pregnant by xmas, I've decided not to see them. I might do if I get a Covid booster shot but not sure - and defo not worth the risk. I have a history of recurrent miscarriage and I'm 36, so not taking any chances.

Any more scans this week? I've moved my scan from this Friday to tomorrow... it'll be my 4th scan so far and I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Bit scared as I'm starting to feel way more energetic than after my scan on Friday. I was definitely more tired a few days ago. xx

Aims1991 · 06/12/2021 11:19

@Rachae wow 4th scan. When did you get your first one?

Rachae · 06/12/2021 11:19

@EmmJJ1991 I had the same pink discharge at that time and I got it checked out and they said it was the residue of implantation bleeding. You could ask your GP to check your cervix is closed if that would help. (It helped me) xx

Firsttimetrier · 06/12/2021 11:31

Is anything dealing with exhaustion?

I’m currently getting 9 hours a night and then having an hours nap through the day, but still feel tired.

I’m drinking loads of water but not been eating well, so going to try and improve my diet more.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I don’t think this will be sustainable when I’m back in the office.

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 11:32

Thank you it’s helping to put my mind at rest that it’s not uncommon. Did you have any pain?

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 11:33

@Rachae thank you it’s helping to hear it isn’t uncommon. Did you have any pain?

Rachae · 06/12/2021 11:34

@Firsttimetrier argh I'm the opposite! I wake up around 5am everyday and last two days have had loads of energy. :-(

@EmmJJ1991 I didn't have any pain, just the pink cm for a couple of hours. I've had cramps off and on since 4 weeks though xx

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 11:54

@Rachae I have that the pink since I first noticed at 7am have light period pains but this has been like it since around week 4. X

Rachae · 06/12/2021 12:15

@EmmJJ1991 sounds pretty normal to me! You could always do a FRER tomorrow morning and then the next morning and compare the lines? If progressed or the same strength... you've got your reassurance! xx

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 12:40

@Rachae thank you. Yes I did one this morning and still 2 strong lines. Will take your advice and do for next few mornings! I’m probably overthinking but can’t help it xx

Rachae · 06/12/2021 12:41

@EmmJJ1991 I totally understand! I'm overthinking every day :-) It's torture xx

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 12:43

@Rachae I’m glad we have forums like this where we can share our experiences and get reassurance. How far along are you :) xx

20viona · 06/12/2021 12:48

@Firsttimetrier I'm
Absolutely exhausted too!

Coco9910 · 06/12/2021 12:59

@Firsttimetrier I was exhausted yesterday! I went to bed about 4pm. But every night when I wake up for a wee in struggling to get back to sleep afterwards.

@Rachae I hope your scan goes well!

@Geriatrixia yes that sounds quite risky! I’m being careful by wearing my face masks and washing my hands way more than is probably needed 😂 I am working from home so that is helping!

@EmmJJ1991 I don’t think you need to worry but if it continues you could call your doctor just for some reassurance? Hope it has stopped and you feel better!

EmmJJ1991 · 06/12/2021 13:12

@Coco9910 thank you. It’s intermittent now sometimes when I wipe there is pink sometimes not. Hoping over next few days it stops if not will contact my doctor. It’s so early on and they don’t really seem to want to see you at this stage. X

Juno231 · 06/12/2021 13:27

@rachae if you're 7 weeks this week I wouldn't do any more pregnancy tests as they hook effect will be kicking in now and might freak you out

Rachae · 06/12/2021 15:22

@Juno231 thanks :-) Sorry yes, I just meant recommending tests around the 4-5 week mark. I moved onto a blood test 48 hours apart to check HCG levels were progressing ok - once I started getting the 'FRER Dye stealers'. At 5.3 weeks I then moved onto a scan every 3-4 days. xx
