Anyone due Nov and reached the seriously fed up/uncomfortable stage?

38+5 and seem to have hit peak physical discomfort. I have had PGP since week 12 and the third trimester has been terrible for sleep due to general discomfort, the baby kicking me and restless leg syndrome.

The baby has dropped now, and since yesterday I have had what feels like a permanent stitch on the very lower left part of my bump. The baby is moving lots, feels low, and this stitch pain is even more intense if I sit up (rather than lie down) or if I try to walk. I assume it's because the baby is low and pressing on a nerve.

The thought of another two or three weeks in this state is unbearable. Anyone else physically fed up, and just wishing that labour would start?

@Needingsupportplease thankfully my indigestion seems to have eased off a little bit, just the bloody itching now!

Haha, my son is 20 months and we decided to potty train him, which is great, until he wakes up in the night needing a poo which means coming into our room to use the potty and then refusing to leave Grin good job he's cute! Lol

ScotsMumOf4 · 10/11/2021 12:42

@T0rt0ise I have a 10 year gap between my last and this one and he is enough work, can't imagine a toddler and being this pregnant and itching 😳

@Lillygolightly oh how exciting! I'm having enough carrying one never mind 2. I do hope these last few weeks fly by for you

Hi all, 40+1 and fed up now Grin

No imminent signs, I’m fed up of the spd! I feel like I’ve been kicked in the pubic bone by a horse! I have a sweep tomorrow so fingers crossed this will kick things off! Sending love to you all in the same boat, last haul now!

Latecomer131 · 10/11/2021 16:55

Good luck with the sweep @bookwitch13 . SPD/PGP is no fun at all. I am also really looking forward to being able to walk without pain (assuming that I am not one of the super unlucky small number of women whose SPD/PGP symptoms continue to hang around after birth).

Just took my son swimming - was lovely to feel the weightlessness...until I got out and bump felt heavier than ever! Grin

T0rt0ise · 10/11/2021 16:57

Good luck @bookwitch13 !

bookwitch13 · 10/11/2021 17:06

Thanks all ❤️

Hey, FTM here and currently 40+3 😩 I’ve never been so uncomfortable in my life!! I’ve had 5 hours sleep in total the last two nights, as soon as I get comfy my hips are killing me or I need to pee. GET THIS BABY OUT OF ME!!

ScotsMumOf4 · 10/11/2021 19:42

@bookwitch13 good luck for tomorrow!

@PatientlyWaiting21 the hip pain is real here too.

Hope all these babies start making an appearance soon! I managed to fall off my bed today 🙈 thankfully I landed straight on my back. Phoned in and they said just to take it easy for a few days. Baby is bumping away as normal, no pain and no bleeding. So done with this now

Aw that sounds so lovely!! I'm desperate to go swimming but really not brave or motivated enough at this stage! Well done 👏
happyavocado28 · 10/11/2021 21:20

@ScotsMumOf4 hope you're ok xx

Feeling everyone's pain with PGP. Also has anyone had morning sickness resurface by any chance? I started throwing up today and feeling really nauseous. Not sure if I should worry or if it's 'normal'.

Flutterby8 · 10/11/2021 21:34

@happyavocado28
Yes! I had HG pretty much throughout but towards the end of the 2nd trimester it eased (still on meds for it though).
The vomiting and nausea is now back. I cant brush my teeth without gagging. Its not getting easier with meds either.
And the night time reflux!

happyavocado28 · 10/11/2021 21:41

@Flutterby8 thanks for replying - that sounds similar to me then actually! I also had HG till end of 2nd trimester and managed to stop the meds. But now it seems to be back and reflux seems to be all day for me !! I've also not been able to regularly brush my teeth for the best part of the last 9 months haha. Dreading my next dentist appointment!

Hopefully the sickness is nothing to worry about then.

Namenic · 10/11/2021 21:49

I’d check with midwife about the nausea returning. Just in case they want to do any further checks/tests to make sure things are ok (eg sometime urine infection can cause people to feel nauseous).

Flutterby8 · 10/11/2021 22:24

@happyavocado28 @Namenic
I saw the midwife 2 weeks ago and mentioned the sickness and she wasn't in the slightest bit concerned. Apparently during the 3rd trimester your hormone levels will surge when baby has a growth spurt, similar to the first trimester. That in turn brings back alot of the early symptoms unfortunately.
My urine tests have been fine, as have bloods which have been reassuring.
I am still waiting for my 2nd trimester glow 😂

T0rt0ise · 10/11/2021 23:14

@happyavocado28 with my first I had worse sickness in third trimester than first, was regularly throwing up my dinner Confused

happyavocado28 · 11/11/2021 00:31

@T0rt0ise @Flutterby8 @Namenic thanks everyone - will check with midwife to be on the safe side.

Is the 2nd trimester glow even reall??! Still waiting haha! Never got that boost of energy everyone always told me about either ...

Namenic · 11/11/2021 05:20

Thanks flutterby8! I hadn’t heard of it before, but it makes sense.

Needingsupportplease · 11/11/2021 12:27

My word i am beyond exhausted today can't even be bothered to cook dinner and the house is a mess. Me and toddler are having a pj and sofa day today.

Sussexgirlie5 · 11/11/2021 13:22

Just been for a 39 week appt. I have been booked in for induction at 40+6 but will be having a membrane sweep tomorrow. Is anyone familiar with this procedure? Does anyone know of it actually works x
Hope you ladies are all ok x

NS1988 · 11/11/2021 13:41

@Sussexgirlie5 I went for membrane sweep day before my due date, midwife tried but couldn’t do it because my cervix was still closed, was uncomfortable but said if I wanted to her to stop to just say. I have heard it has been successful from other people who have had it but keep in mind if your cervix isn’t ready the midwife might not be able to do it and will book you in for another one probably

T0rt0ise · 11/11/2021 14:22

Currently sat waiting for the consultant (50 minutes late so far...) and there's a set of parents who have brought a child with who is watching something on an ipad with the sound on...would I be unreasonable to go over, turn the noise off and then return it? (I know I would but FML, how do people not realise how annoying this is?!)

T0rt0ise · 11/11/2021 14:25

Oh, and now there's another child further down the hall listening to something different on an ipad so have clashing noises. Genuinely FML!

Sussexgirlie5 · 11/11/2021 16:33

@NS1988 ahh she did mention she might not be able to do it.. here’s me hoping. TMI but do u think it’ll be a good idea to have sex tonight lol

Sussexgirlie5 · 11/11/2021 16:34

@T0rt0ise bless you, kids aren’t allowed in my maternity assessment unit I guess cause of things like this. Sounds really annoying especially when you need some peace and quiet x
