Anyone being induced this week??

Just looking for fellow induction buddies! I'm being induced tomorrow at 38+3 due to gestational diabetes. I'm a FTM & keep swinging between excitement & anxiety 😁

Would be good to share this time with others in the same boat!

I had him Tuesday by emergency caesarean. So it took almost a week but he's here now.

Hope you're all getting on okay? I'm just preparing for my second sleepless night. I got to sleep at 4am last night! Just feeding though, no crying so it could be a lot worse.

Ah congratulations!! So happy for you 😊

We're doing good, getting there with feeding slowly. We're combi feeding as my boobs have taken a battering! We're not sure if Ethan has a tongue tie so going to see the infant feeding support team. Other than that we're blissfully happy & so in love.

Hope you're not in too much pain until you get sorted, it can be physically and mentally gruelling!

I was always hit and miss breast feeding with my DD so I'm so proud of him for getting better at it every day and feeling like a super mum now my milk has come in.

I can’t believe it’s been a month already! It’s flown by!
We’ve been in and out of hospital. Daisy has been diagnosed with a duplex kidney on her left side. She also had a bad UTI. While we were in the consultant told us she should have been given antibiotics from birth but the drs didn’t give them for some reason. So we’re in the middle of a formal complaint. She was really poorly but much better now.
Hope everyone else is doing well?

We are doing brilliantly, little girl is wonderful, weight is going on nicely and breastfeeding going well. I'm eating so much though, weight isn't dropping off like it did after ds!

The less said about sleep the better - we are co sleeping (co waking? Co not sleeping?).

Novrainbow that sounds really tough. My ds had medical issues and it really took over our lives. Not what you imagine with a new baby. Glad she is better now.

It's also weird going from being CV and doing everything to avoid catching covid to just being normally at risk - anyone else finding that confusing? Obviously i don't want to get it but am much less anxious than I was.

@NovRainbow5 sorry to hear about Daisy, in my previous job in the NHS I use to X-ray babies with duplex kidneys so I know how hard it is for the parents when they're so small & unwell. Sending hugs x

@OverTheWater sleep is a dirty word in this house! I've been awake with Ethan since 3.30am & I'm running on fumes. He's happy though so I can manage until DP gets home!

I keep forgetting covid even exists tbh. I think it's because I'm in such a newborn bubble the rest of the world doesn't seem to matter as much any more if that makes sense?
