Anyone being induced this week??

Just looking for fellow induction buddies! I'm being induced tomorrow at 38+3 due to gestational diabetes. I'm a FTM & keep swinging between excitement & anxiety 😁

Would be good to share this time with others in the same boat!

I've woken up feeling really weird today. Thought I was having a hypo this morning as I felt really sick & shaky but my bloods were fine. My stomach really doesn't feel right. I don't feel particularly nervous or anxious but I have been excited so hopefully that's all it is. Would be just my luck to pick up a stomach bug on my induction day 😂

Thank you! Jackjack I also felt sick and shaky this morning but bloods were fine, just nerves a wreck.

3cm dilated so instead of the balloon I've been swept and sent home, back in tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing well?!

I'm still at home as there wasn't room on the ward for my induction last night. I'm rebooked for 6pm tonight 🤞🏼

Ah that's rubbish jackjack. You get all psyched up and then it's such a letdown. Hope you get in OK tonight.

My sweep was highly effective and baby arrived super quickly. Passed all blood sugar tests as well so looks like our diabetes journey is done. I don't want to see an egg at breakfast time for a good while!

@JackJack84 that's rubbish, but hope you get in this evening to get started. I have to call at 8am tomorrow to check when to go in.

I've been in slow early labour since Monday night so I'm exhausted. I was examined yesterday and was 2cm and I'm still having irregular contractions. Hoping it will give me a little head start on the induction process at least. So ready for it to be over now!

@neverenoughchelseaboots thank you! Yesterday was so hard, I was all packed & psyched up to go after an anxious day then had to ring the ward 3 times between 5 & 7 to check if I could go in. It was a relief when they finally said I was being moved, I was so exhausted I just wanted my jamas & bed 😂

@mooloop ah I hope you're managing to get some rest at least, you must've worked so hard already I'm sending you positive vibes that baby will be here soon x

How is everyone?
I didn’t make it to induction yesterday I went in 7am at 4cm had had her at 3:30pm. Had to have an episiotomy so feeling very sore. Hoping we get discharged from hospital today. She came by herself on her due date and my blood pressure has gone down since having her too so I’m very relieved.

I'm in hospital, came in at 7 last night but baby was too active to start the induction so they couldn't get a baseline heart rate after 3 hours of monitoring. They let us get some sleep, think I've had about 4 hours & hopefully going to start the induction this morning.

Congratulations to those who have had their babies. I was called in a day early for my induction (Tuesday). Unfortunately it didn’t work and in spite of 24 hours of strong contractions it wasn’t happening, so we had a c section yesterday. That went really well though and I can’t believe our daughter is now here! 💕

I've just arrived for my pessary and then the plan is for me to go home for the first 24 hours which is good. Looking forward to starting some box sets now that I've finally got all my prep done.

Omg, it's not a definite that I get to go home. There's loads of monitoring first To check if I have stay in. Trouble is - I left my DH at home and it's miles away 😬😂

I'm on day 4 now, really hoping it's today. I've had lots of good pain relief so slept well at least, but definitely ready to get this baby out!

Yeah still in. And not looking likely to be today either. I don't mind being in for me, I just worry about the disruption to DD. So I've sent DH home until I actually go to delivery suite to spend time with DD.
