Pregnancy after miscarriage

Hello,

I just found out I’m pregnant again (very early days, 4w today). I had a mmc back in April which was diagnosed at almost 12 weeks but baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks and then I fell pregnant again but had a natural mc at 5+5.
This time I am taking progesterone pessaries and aspirin. Anyone else pregnant after a loss? I’m so scared about mmc but trying to relax as much as possible.

@Loulou237 I am desperate to know if it's a boy or a girl. I've booked a private scan to try and find out at 16 weeks.

(It's the first day the scanners will try from, so it might be too early but there's a free re-scan if it is. Yay more scans).

I've been Googling nub / skull theories to see what that says but I can't make head nor tail of it. 😂

@OnceUponAThread I did the same! I think the genitals are fully formed by 14 weeks so I’m sure it will be fine to find out then. Our scan pic was pretty graphic so it’s definitely a boy haha!

According to the nub theory I was right but I think it must depend on the angle they’re lying at too it’s all too complicated for me. Not long til you can find out! And good to have the extra scan as it’s a long wait til 20 weeks xx

We haven't talked yet about whether we want to find out the sex. I'd really like the surprise, but am also quite impatient and might not be able to restrain myself from knowing!

I know what you mean but I just couldn’t resist knowing especially when you’re in your 20 week scan and they ask you if you want to know. The surprise would be lovely though! Xxx

I have a private scan tomorrow should be 9 weeks! Im so anxious as we lost the last one at 8w 5d. I have a lot of nausea and was vomiting yesterday so hoping thats a good sign...

@susiebluebell @Loulou237 I'm pleased go say my scan went really well. Heart beat flickering away and we even saw movement ☺️ dated us a couple of days ahead too.
Feel like we have passed a big milestone of getting past last time so now its just getting to the 12 week scan.

@SamBass yaaaaaay so happy for you! Once you’ve seen a heartbeat and got to this point the likelihood of anything going wrong is really slim.
You must be so relieved and happy! Not long til the 12 week scan now! Xx

@Loulou237 thank you! We are so so happy 😀 i think this time its more about how far we are as we actually saw a heart beat last time... 12week scan is on the 1st Feb so hoping it come around fast. Im still suffering with nausea and sickness but need to remind myself it may subside in the next few weeks and that's normal.... (vanishing of symptoms was when i knew I had miscarriage last time)

@SamBass ah I’m sorry, yeah getting further is definitely a great sign! Yeah my symptoms started going around 9 weeks which was great but then so worrying. This whole thing is just such a worrying experience I’ve tried to give up all the worrying ha! Oh the time will fly til the 1st feb xxx

@Loulou237 no need to apologise I understand what you meant and also makes sense 😊 good to know your symptoms eased will hopefully help me not panic if it's common lol

@SamBass you’d think that wouldn’t you fingers crossed you can manage not to worry too much for these 3 weeks and you feel loads better too xx

I’ve not been in here for a while and managed to lock myself out so new account so slightly different username but I was on here before!

19 weeks now, feeling some movements and found out we’re having a boy 💙

Hi @Oti22 congratulations that’s great news! I’m 18 weeks today and feel like I’ve felt the odd flutter but I found out I have an anterior placenta so think it will take a bit longer to feel.

Feeling ok but a bit dizzy on and off! I have a toddler too so don’t have much time to rest 😂 how are you feeling? Xxx

@Loulou237 congratulations to you too! My scan was just as obvious as yours 😆 I’ve only felt them in the last week or so and only little pops!

Feeling a lot better overall, still have the odd moments of sickness but so much more manageable! x

@Oti22 the scans are hilarious aren’t they, I’m not sure quite what I expected but I was a bit shocked at how graphic it is 😂

Amazing you’re feeling better, second trimester is supposed to be the best so we can try and enjoy it for a bit 😬

12 week scan this morning and I'm not doing great. All my confidence has vanished, I don't feel pregnant whatsoever. I just want to hide and not face it...

Thinking of you @susiebluebell. The anticipation is awful but there's a really good chance everything will be okay!
