Hello,

I just found out I’m pregnant again (very early days, 4w today). I had a mmc back in April which was diagnosed at almost 12 weeks but baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks and then I fell pregnant again but had a natural mc at 5+5.
This time I am taking progesterone pessaries and aspirin. Anyone else pregnant after a loss? I’m so scared about mmc but trying to relax as much as possible.

@SRLaycock that's amazing! So pleased for you! Smile

SRLaycock · 11/11/2021 13:58

Thankyou 🥰 @Loubylauralou

Hi ladies
Just got back from my 9 week scan, it’s just one baby! We’re a bit relieved it’s not twins haha but very happy to see a baby in there (after a molar pregnancy at the beginning of the year)
Just wanted to say my symptoms have been all over the place so everyone try not to panic if they come and go.
How is everyone doing? Can we have an update on where everyone is in their pregnancies and how everyone’s feeling? Scan dates etc?
@bez91 how are you doing? Hope you’re ok, haven’t heard from you in ages xxx

Loulou237 · 12/11/2021 10:07

Congratulations @SRLaycock! Hope you can relax a bit xxx

Loubylauralou · 12/11/2021 10:33

I've got my follow up scan at 1pm today after an inconclusive one last week. Had a MMC in July so fearing the worst. Glad all went well for you @Loulou237.

Loulou237 · 12/11/2021 10:35

@Loubylauralou how far along are you? What happened at the scan last week? Everything crossed for you! Let us know how it goes xxx

Onebabyandamadcat · 12/11/2021 10:52

@Loubylauralou I hope your scan goes ok today, keeping everything crossed for you!

@Loulou237 congratulations! Hopefully that's put your mind at rest a bit.

I'm still very nauseous and have intermittent source boobs but still spotting - this will be day 13. Yesterday was all day though still just on wiping and a few spots on my underwear. Today so far it's less. Have a private scan tomorrow which I'm hoping will be able to say one way or the other.

Loulou237 · 12/11/2021 11:07

@Onebabyandamadcat good luck tomorrow!! How far along will you be tomorrow? I think everything will be perfect Grin xxx

bez91 · 12/11/2021 11:49

That's fab news @Loulou237 glad every is looking good! Is 12 weeks your next one?
I'm 13+6 today, had multiple scans since finding out and will have them throughout as consultant led due to the 3 previous MCs but everything is looking good 😊Nausea has retuned this week and a lot of tummy pulling an stretching, how you feeling?
Still finding the anxiety hard, we are telling family this weekend and I'm struggling to feel excitement like everyone else. There's plenty of time to get excited, I think I'm just being overly cautious x

Loubylauralou · 12/11/2021 11:54

By my dates I would be 9+4 today but at the scan last week was measuring less than 6 weeks size. There was a yoke sac and fetal pole but no HB. They said it could be too early but I'm not sure how my dates could be that wrong.

Thank you. Tomorrow I'll be 6+5 but I think I ovulated a bit later so probably closer to 6+2. I really don't think it's good news but hopefully we'll get some closure

Onebabyandamadcat · 12/11/2021 13:34

@Loubylauralou I really hope you've got good news. You hear about them suddenly growing and catching up sometimes. Sending lots of positive thoughts and love your way

Loubylauralou · 12/11/2021 13:45

Sadly not good news for me at the scan, I am having another MMC. Heartbroken. Hoping for the best for all of you ladies.

Onebabyandamadcat · 12/11/2021 14:01

I'm so sorry @Loubylauralou that's so incredibly unfair! Please be kind to yourself. I hope the next steps pass quickly and as painlessly as they can

Tryingformylastmiracle · 12/11/2021 14:07

@Loubylauralou I'm sorry you going through this again no words can describe how you feeling right now it's horrible x

Oti21 · 12/11/2021 14:08

So sorry @Loubylauralou, I hope he EPU have been supportive and take some time for yourself if you can. xxx

Loubylauralou · 12/11/2021 14:17

Thank you, unfortunately I had an awful experience and poor care last time so the thought of going though all that again is unbearable. Sorry to ask but has anyone done expectant management of MMC before?

Tryingformylastmiracle · 12/11/2021 14:37

@Loubylauralou me personally I was nearly 17 weeks I wasn't given that option plus I was crying too much he said it's good thing I wont have to see any tissue as mentally I was absolutely traumatised so had a D&C procedure but a friend of mine did its tablets down there and then wait if nothing happens then proceed to another stage and she was sent home after the tablets were inserted

Sorry to hear that bless you.
Last time I went for medical management which didn't work and ended up having to be admitted as was bleeding heavily but not passing any products. They then did a manual vacuum aspiration (MPV) which was an awful experience for me so if it doesn't happen naturally I think I'd go straight for D&C this time.

Oti21 · 12/11/2021 15:06

Sorry to hear that @Loubylauralou don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself although I know that’s easier said than done. I haven’t, I had planned surgical management under general anaesthetic and I couldn’t fault it. It was quick and pain free. xx

Tryingformylastmiracle · 12/11/2021 15:23

@Loubylauralou I dont blame you my D&C was very straight forward they booked me in same day and got given time and date went in got into a hospital gown got given a form to sign which asked me what to do with tissue u have options but I chose the option for the hospital to take care of it within 45 minutes transferred to a room they put me to sleep and I woke up it was done i just remember waking up and started crying not sure why i got soo emotional I got sent home with a couple of tests think it took me 3 weeks to get a negative test then I was on folic acid a month after even though I wasn't doing anything but I knew I wasn't giving up despite how painful all of it was

SRLaycock · 12/11/2021 15:52

I'm so sorry @Loubylauralou 😕. I really hope everything goes smoothly and as comfortably as they can for you. Sending big hugs ❤️

I had expectant miscarriage management with my last MMC.... purely because the EPAU didn't give me any choice. More than happy to discuss with you if you want to know anything xxx

MissOrganisedMe · 12/11/2021 18:06

Sorry to hear that @Loubylauralou. It's utter shit. Take care of yourself. No words can make it easier buy know we're all here to supportyou.

@Loulou237 Congratulations.

Loubylauralou · 12/11/2021 18:22

Thank you everyone. @SRLaycock I would like to discuss if ok with you?

SRLaycock · 12/11/2021 19:03

@Loubylauralou absolutely chick no problem at all...... how do you wanna chat? On here or privately? I'm happy to do whatever you want xxx
