I got a lovely dye stealer this morning and I am so chuffed! After a CP in July, seeing that beautiful first line so dark is giving me great hope.

Anyone else 5 weeks? How are you feeling? Flowers

@charlotte0808 well hopefully that’s a bit of reassurance for you…for now lol. We’ll be the same I think, booking a private scan as the thought of waiting until the 20wk scan feels like forever although technically it’s only 6wks away on Friday for me! But I still don’t have my date, it will fall right around Xmas so reckon it will be the new year

@Snoopy28x awww this is just lovely 🥰 beautiful scan pic! You must all be very relieved / excited! Bless dd, must be a lot of emotions for them all going on and at least she’s engaging on names now lol! How have your symptoms been? I feel pretty much back to normal except the tiredness! I’m
Off work this week and have napped every day! My hunger has also increased , I’m dreading getting weighed again lol!

@LadyoftheWoods the waiting is the worst but hoping these 2 weeks go in quick for you!

Welcome @LFmumof4 ah that early stage nausea feeling lol. Not nice! I also found a fizzy drink helped, diet lemonade I drank quite a bit of. I also enjoyed full fat coke which I never drink but tried to knock that on the head pretty rapid lol! Xx

Congratulations on your scan @Snoopy28x! How wonderful and exciting Flowers

I've had a very traumatic/stressful 24 hours.

I had some bleeding over lunch on Tuesday and was called in straight away because of my blood type (O-) to get an AntiD injection.

They did a speculum to see what is happening, cervix was closed but there was still blood lingering. I was an absolute mess, couldn’t stop crying and they were just being so kind about it all. Had a second opinion from a senior doctor and we just had to wait.

They got us a scan and baby was kicking away and there’s still a heartbeat. They think the cause of the bleeding is from the placenta growing, however, can only see a little bit until it grows. I had bloods taken and a cannula in for an overnight stay which was pretty lonely! My partner left around 4pm to get our son from nursery to avoid disrupting his routine. Had a bit more of a bleed at 3am and the senior doctor did another speculum and he confirmed the cervix was closed and wasn’t concerned about the blood or colour which was really reassuring.

I was discharged at 2.30pm yesterday and have since then been wiping small brown blood/nothing overly concerning. No cramps or pain! The doctor did say I could be one of those women that bleed every now and again which can be unnerving!! I'm just glad we saw baby and everything is measuring well - they even told us our 20 week scan date so I'm taking that as a positive!

It's true when they say no pregnancy is the same... I had no issues with my first!

Hope everyone is keeping well xx

@babyboybluex aw no glad everything is ok ❤️ bleeding is awful. I've bled every month for 2 weeks still bleeding today not gushing anymore I've had so many scans and only my 12 week one they seen the small hematoma so could it be that? Try not to worry about it the scan has given you the reassurance you need aslong as baby is still healthy xx

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 10:29

Thanks @charlotte0808 - I know you have had a really tough time with bleeding and now I truly feel your pain and fear. I am trying to be positive especially since my cervix is closed and we saw baby moving with a healthy heartbeat.

Do you have mild cramping when you bleed? That's the bit that makes me even more anxious... I know cramping is a general pregnancy symptom from the uterus growing but when you are bleeding as well you start to think differently!

I don't see the midwife until the 7th of December and our 20 week scan is the 30th of December so it's going to be a worrying time. If I bleed before then, I'll phone triage and be seen but I just hope I can avoid that.

Hope you are doing ok! What colour is your bleeding? xx

@babyboybluex in September was my first bleed when I wiped it was bright red for one night then for 2 weeks was pink, dark brown, light brown and dark pink I did have sharp cramps I was about 5/6 weeks then but still baby was fine and put it down to implantation they said did eventually ease itself. Then Halloween night I had a sharp cramp again then was gushing bright red blood for about 5 mins went to a+e cervix still closed etc scan the next day baby was fine no reason for bleeding. Ever since that I have had cramps on and off one day actually my stomach felt like it was pulling and sore, tender all day. I've had dark brown, light brown ever since Halloween more light today. They found that hematoma at my 12 week scan then. I think your going to be one of these women like me who unfortunately bleed up until a certain week. I've read loads of women have it and baby is born healthy. Not taking away it's so worrying and mentally draining totally feel you. Are you having bad cramps then? How many weeks are you now? X

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 10:41

@charlotte0808 God you have been through tough times! You are incredibly brave as you just go straight into shock no matter what the blood is like or how much. You must be feeling relieved to have some answers and know that everything is perfect with your baby Flowers

I think so as well... the doctor even said similar. I'm not having bad cramps but like you, I feel tender and have little niggles of minor cramps (not even on a period cramp level). I'm 13+3 today and so far so good, I keep going to the toilet to wipe and I'm not wiping anything. It was like that yesterday hence why I got discharged then at night I had a bleed - it seems to happen late on (maybe just a pool of blood that's been sitting). I'm working today but it's not much of a distraction! I wish I had ultrasound equipment at home so I could have a look at baby haha.

Honestly thank you for being so lovely, your reassurance is wonderful and I just hope everything will be ok!! Sending you a big hug x

@babyboybluex thank you means a lot ❤️ you will be fine and baby will be fine too. Bleeding is not normal but so common! I'm hoping it's the last blood I'll see but who knows just have to take it as it comes. Yeah me too lol i would love one so I can just see myself everyday 😂 I'm going to have a scan before Xmas private can't wait till January just so I know baby still ok. Pregnancy is such a scare and awful time atm but I keep thinking of the end result and it'll be all worth it! Let me know everything is ok with you next few days xxx

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 10:52

@charlotte0808 Thank you lovely and the same to you ❤️ It sounds like things are calming down at your end - I believe you wont have another bleed.

I'm with you on the private scan!! 100% will be booking another to get that peace of mind. I know why we only get two when pregnant but my goodness I wish it was more!

I'll keep you posted and lets hope we are both saying the same thing... no bleeding and everything is well! xx

@babyboybluex we can enjoy Xmas abit more then! We will be fine 😊 roll on may lol xx

Snoopy28x · 11/11/2021 13:59

Thank you ladies! Weve told alot of people now. DD has gone running into school to tell everyone her news. Shes so excited today. She said she wants the baby to come now!! Lol

@babyboybluex that sounds so scary! How are you feeling today? It's harder when theres no reason for a bleed. Hopefully it was just one of those things and wont happen again! Xx

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 14:03

@Snoopy28x Aww bless your daughter that is adorable! It will come round fast Smile

Yeah I'm doing ok, I'm literally wiping the old brown discharge so feeling better by that. Just very odd considering everything has been perfect! I do believe the Sonographer in that it must be from the placenta growing and doing it's thing! I can't believe how common random bleeding is xx

OP posts:
Snoopy28x · 11/11/2021 14:14

@babyboybluex yeah its so odd! Plus theres so many different reasons it happens. I hope it will be plain sailing from now on for you xx

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 14:23

Thank you @Snoopy28x that's so kind 🥰

The fact we saw baby with a strong heartbeat, kicking and moving was reassuring. I was going into that scan expecting the worst 🥺 Just resting as much as possible (not even attempting to bend down or unload/load the dishwasher... sorry DP) 😜

Blondiebrownie6 · 11/11/2021 15:23

Oh @babyboybluex how scary for you 😩😩😩 sounds so scary but I am SO glad to hear little one is all ok and kicking about in there! Just take it easy and rest your body as much as you can. At least you have been to hosp so if you have any concerns you can reach out to them. Take care of yourself and little one xxx

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 15:28

Thanks sweetheart @Blondiebrownie6 Smile

100% resting up and doing very little! I've had no issues today and got an antiD shot tomorrow morning so may push for a scan for further reassurance, although if not possible I'll cope. I think I'd be a lot worse if I was having pain right now!

Hope you are doing ok and lil one is growing nicely Flowers xx

@babyboybluex I have to have anti d to. Do you find it not very pleasant?? The first time I had one it felt like my arm was in fire for about 20mins. The next time I didnt feel it at all. Was very odd. Luckily both kids are the same blood group as me so I didnt need one post birth x

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 15:34

@Snoopy28x The first time I found it sore and didn't realise how big the needle was! Now I've had it a few times I don't notice it too much... I had a long sleeved dress on Tuesday and it wouldn't roll all the way up so she popped it in my bottom! That was very weird haha!!

That's good news about your children being the same. I think our son must be as I don't remember having one post birth either xx

OP posts:
Snoopy28x · 11/11/2021 15:46

@babyboybluex bahahaha that did make me chuckle!! I'll remember to make sure I have easily accessible arms 🙊🙊 yeah its massive!! The 2nd lady said something about If its kept cold you cant feel it. But that first time I was like erm is this normal!???? For the burning sensation going down my arm 😳

babyboybluex · 11/11/2021 15:58

@Snoopy28x Please do 😂 She was like I can pop it in your bottom as it's muscle but it was a funny experience!!

It is so odd feeling the liquid! The joys of rare blood 😜 xx

Morning ladies! Well I'm 13 weeks today! Eek! Baby is the size of a jalapeno lol

How are you all doing? I feel surprisingly spritely lol xx

babyboybluex · 12/11/2021 10:10

@Snoopy28x Yay to energy! You'll feel like a new woman after the first trimester 😜

All good here, I've had no bleeding all day or night! Just at Triage waiting on a scan and another AntiD injection. Once I see everything is ok today I can move on and RELAX 🤞🏼❤️

OP posts:
Snoopy28x · 12/11/2021 10:53

@babyboybluex ooh do let us know how it goes! Thats good no more bleeding xx

Yeah I've been cleaning the house. Want to do a proper sort out and spring clean while I can lol x

babyboybluex · 12/11/2021 15:21

So 5 hours later and I am home! They did all the necessary checks such as my BP and urine, tried to find baby's heartbeat on the doppler (too early) so I got a scan and baby was absolutely fine - the same as Tuesday which was great.

It has been confirmed that I have a small Hematoma along the sac and placenta which is the cause for the bleeding that I've had. You were right @charlotte0808 Smile

The doctor did another speculum and confirmed my cervix is tightly closed and she can't see a drop of blood which is good news. Hopefully the placenta absorbs the blood from the bruise or I may have some more bleeding! The doctor seemed really confident that it should be gone by my 20 week scan so fingers and toes crossed.

AntiD injection and I was sent home to take it easy. I SO hope the next time we are at the hospital is for delivering our baby or of course the 20 week scan, if it's there x

Aw I am glad you've had an answer @babyboybluex they said the same to me I might bleed again mine is small too but no scan till 20 week scan which is a good thing as ours must be so small no need to monitor. Happy for you feels so much more reassuring with an answer doesn't it 😊 xx
