Hey I'm only 10dpo but just got a faint positive 2 days ago and has been getting darker so hoping this is real. I calculated and I'm due June 1/2nd.

Anyone else due the same time as me? Want to hang out and keep me company I know it's early days.

Hi everyone, I found on yesterday I'm finally pregnant! After 13 cycles!

Even went for blood tests on Friday to get these checked out. I'm so so excited but also so nervous, hope we all have a healthy pregnancy.

My tests below, starting with the FRER done on Friday which I thought was likely an indent. I am only 11dpo so very very early. The bottom test and digital is today 🥰

Welcome @Emsjourney and congratulations!!

For anyone here that is worrying about cramps and twinges, this is a level of detail that nobody told me the first time:

Cramps and twinges truly are normal. Both of my miscarriages began with a very small streak of blood, containing a very small stringy clot. I didn't have any pain at first. About an hour later, I started having ordinary period pains. Not twinges or light cramps from in the middle area, but full blown unmistakable period pains. Within a matter of hours, I was bleeding heavily and the "period pains" were strong.

I'll spare you the rest of the detail, because this thread is supposed to be a positive place.

It was a day or so into the bleeding and pains that my pregnancy symptoms stopped abruptly. Not a gentle decline. An abrupt and complete stop.

Not everyone's experience will be the same, but I understand from speaking to others and from conversations with community midwives that mine was fairly standard. And unmistakable.

Believe me, ladies, nobody could be more anxious than me about miscarriage now. I wish I could take my own advice. But please all try to relax.

Try to remember this:

Statistically speaking, unless you have had 3 miscarriages or more, it is more likely that your pregnancy will go to full term than not.

Thanks
Rachae · 17/10/2021 14:28

Thanks @PeeAche.. That last point on 3 or more though - you're still more likely for it to go to term. It a 65% chance. (That's me 🤞)

TTCjourney2021 · 17/10/2021 14:44

Thanks for that @PeeAche! Fingers crossed for all of us 🤞🤞

Clomid1 · 17/10/2021 14:57

@Rachae thanks hun xx sorry to hear about yours too. I am also not getting early scans. How many weeks are you? I am waiting to get to 7 weeks to self refer. I am currently 5+3

Rachae · 17/10/2021 15:02

@Clomid1 I'm 6 weeks today 😊 If im lucky to get that far, I'm holding out until the 12 week scan and probably won't get my booking appointment etc before that. Just taking it a day at a time xx

Clomid1 · 17/10/2021 15:04

@Rachae do you get a scan before the midwife appointment. Sorry I don’t really know much about these. I thought we had to get an appointment with the midwife at 8 weeks and then a scan at 12 weeks? Is that not how it works?

PeeAche · 17/10/2021 15:14

@Rachae

Thanks *@PeeAche*.. That last point on 3 or more though - you're still more likely for it to go to term. It a 65% chance. (That's me 🤞)
This is absolutely true, I missed a beat! Thanks, @Rachae

Nonetheless, ladies, be reassured that twinges and cramps are totally normal. When they say you only really need worry when they're accompanied by bleeding, I am here to testify that truth!

On a lighter note, has anyone here ever tried meditation?

CurryandSnuggle · 17/10/2021 15:16

@Clomid1 in Sussex we have a booking appointment at latest 10 weeks and then a scan by latest 14 weeks.

BellatrixK · 17/10/2021 15:27

Thank you so much @PeeAche, I really needed to hear that Smile

Nailingnow · 17/10/2021 15:33

I have just wiped and there is bleeding - definitely freaking out / numb.

Has anyone else had this?

makingamac · 17/10/2021 15:40

@PeeAche I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to reassure us all.

I haven't meditated in a while but I'm thinking it's time to get back on it, to keep myself centred. I'm sure it will help you it's hypnobirthing techniques too x

Nailingnow · 17/10/2021 15:41

I have just read recent posts and know others have had this - didn't experience this with my first two pregnancies. Oh bugger

HWka · 17/10/2021 15:54

@PeeAche thank you so much for this. Ive had a missed miscarriage so not sure of the signs for a more “standard” one but you’re right. It’s important to try to take the facts.
@Nailingnow can you ring your early pregnancy unit in the morning? I would ring straight there as it’s quicker than going through a GP. Sending lots of love and positive vibes- there’s so many stories on here about a bleed or spotting and everything been fine xxx

Rachae · 17/10/2021 16:03

@Clomid1 sorry yea, you normally do get the booking appointment and then a scan. I'll just be paying for a private scan at 12 weeks so I don't have to go through the booking appointment again. It's quite lengthy and got my hopes up xx

yellowpinkbluegreen · 17/10/2021 16:26

Is anyone else feeling colder than usual and finding it hard to get warm? Not sure if this is a pregnancy symptom or it's just getting wintery??
Also just had a nap, the tiredness is real!

Skinnymuffins · 17/10/2021 18:01

Anyones nausea crippling them?

This feels like a permanent hangover and at nearly 7 weeks now and it can't decide what I can eat without retching.

Got some crackers to try and eat throughout the day as Friday night I threw up so much and I think that was because of getting really hungry then eating a lot. Small snacks all day I think.

If I'm lying down it's better but as soon as I even sit up it's nausea time. I've had way better hangovers than this 😩

GeorgiePeachie · 17/10/2021 18:02

May I join? I'm at roughly 5 weeks. Found out last week and still hasn't hit us! Still waiting to hear from the hospital. My GP said don't bother seeing the GP just self refer to the hospital. So I'm just waiting to hear.

Turniptracker · 17/10/2021 18:11

@yellowpinkbluegreen yes!! I have this too!

Willow1981 · 17/10/2021 19:06

I'm a Sussex expectant mum too

yellowpinkbluegreen · 17/10/2021 19:23

Okay good to know it's not just me!!! Haha

Lblowfield · 17/10/2021 19:39

Hi all

Very tentatively joining, due 11th June 2022. Had a missed misscarriage July this year at 11 weeks which was very difficult. So incredibly anxious and cautious atm with all fingers and toes crossed.

Xxx

I’m really struggling with nausea at the moment. It’s near constant! I’m 7 weeks and feel so hungover, earlier I was hungry but busy so I waited to get some food! Big mistake I was retching between bites 🙈

Exhausted too as I feel sick when I laid down. Oh joys! Lol
