Hi everyone,
A little bit TMI.
So I'm a FTM, I'm 37 & 5.
I haven't had a show or my waters go.

Yesterday I had period cramps most of the day. Last night they were quite intense (i nearly called L&D), they went away after I took some paracetamol and laid down, Iv had horrible back ache along with this.

Today, I literally cannot keep of the toilet pooping, some loose some soft. My back is killing me again, my tummy doesn't have cramps at the moment.
I have had heavy discharge watery milky white.
I have such a pain in my vagina, lots of pressure. I just don't know 🙈

I just feel like so much is changing but I'm not sure what signs to look for 😳
If the cramps come back today I will be calling L & D for advice x
Thankyou for any help or advice xxx

Sounds like me the day before before I went into labour with the first. Good luck

Notapheasantplucker · 09/09/2021 12:36

Sounds like the start of labour. This is exactly how I felt, just try to keep moving around, I know it's probably hard but try not to sit down for too long and just keep active. Good luck Flowers

Contractions, when they start time them, how often they come and how long they last for
Waters breaking

Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles · 09/09/2021 14:47

As @room4onemore says, contractions! Bare in mind they can drag on. With my daughter they were coming regularly, ever 5 minutes or so, for over 24 hours before things ramped up (though for what it's worth, they were not too painful)

The other things would be a "show", waters breaking (mine have never broken on their own!)

Make sure your bag is ready, car seat in thr car etc. Try to stay hydrated, eat and sleep if you can in case you're in for a long night!

Good luck Smile

Thanks guys!!! I'll keep you posted ❤️

@steph246 have you had any more labour signs? 🤞

steph246 · 09/09/2021 20:35

@Oodlesofdoodlescockapoodles
hi no nothing major yet just period like cramps. We shall see what tomorrow brings, I suppose it could be like this for a couple of days if it's slow progression maybe 🤷🏼‍♀️🙈

Hopefully soon xx

Following! I'm exactly the same symptom wise and am 37+2. I've also ended up with piles from the pressure of baby pushing down.
I did check my cervix 3 nights ago and was high and posterior so I'm not convinced but I am going to recheck cervix tonight!

SillyBry · 09/09/2021 21:25

Good luck! I’ve had similar for the last week/10 days! 😬😬

steph246 · 09/09/2021 22:10

Ooo good luck ladies hopefully our little ones won't be long 🙏🏼

Any update 😁

steph246 · 12/09/2021 22:43

@Room4onemore
Heyy!
No baby yet 🙈
I think he's defiantly dropped though! 38 weeks today so I guess he could make his grand appearance whenever!
Still have all the symptoms I described. I have the midwife on Tuesday so going to ask her advice on it all ☺️

Hope everyone is doing good! Xxx

Second pregnancy here but with twins so likely to go earlier and I’m having the exact same symptoms. Sadly I’ve been having them for a week now with no sign of anything really happening

With my son 3 years ago, I had one day of waves of cramps which were very uncomfortable but I was still able to talk and rock through. They disappeared and then the next day I had one gush of waters and suddenly much stronger and undeniable contractions and he arrived 3 hours later.

This waiting around is awful isn’t it? Constant guessing as to whether this is it or not! Hope it happens for you soon

JustSayingItHowItIs · 12/09/2021 22:54

I was 38+3 when I went into labour. I had back ache and kept going for a poo. It got to the point I'd lay down then have to get up and kind of sway myself so I thought I better get checked. I was 3cm dilated! I never knew. I just thought I had back ache. DS had actually turned himself round to be back to back. Explains the back ache. At 38 weeks exactly I felt this almighty movement and it must've been him turning around because at the midwife appointment that day he was in the right position!

Good luck and hopefully not too long!

steph246 · 12/09/2021 23:33

It seems like it is all part of pregnancy, just waiting for the painful ones 😂 ... I think it's crazy as there are so many different signs and everyone experiences labour and early labour differently.
It is the waiting, I think every cramp and pain I'm like ohhhhh is this the one then it tends to go or just stay the same xxx
I'm not sure in the UK with getting checked I don't think they do it until 40 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ again not to sure, not very informed unfortunately over here xx

Ooo good luck 🍀 xxx

I'm in the UK. I just phoned the maternity ward and they said to come get checked. Glad I did!

JustSayingItHowItIs · 13/09/2021 07:54

They popped my waters from then and DS was born around 5pm.

The midwife actually said let me check if a labour room is free because if it is I'll pop your waters then we can go to the labour room. Grin

Tinydancer321 · 13/09/2021 15:19

I had them excavated symptoms last week at 37 weeks weeks. Now heading to 39 and nothing 😭😭😭

steph246 · 13/09/2021 20:29

@JustSayingItHowItIs ooooo that would be nice! It is very exciting! ☺️

@Tinydancer321 I feel like our bodies like to tease us 😂
Hopefully not much longer! 🍀

Xx
