6 weeks 5 days pregnant - likelihood of seeing a heartbeat

Hi guys. I have had ongoing light spotting off and on since 4 weeks. My HCG is doubling but I am due a scan on Friday when I will be 6 weeks & 5 days pregnant. I am so so nervous and anxious over whether it’s likely to see a heartbeat then. What’s your experience with a scan at that gestation?

@Nicci1985 I'm plodding along! I'm currently full of cold though, which isn't pleasant🥺 was meant to have my follow up scan with the fertility clinic last Thursday, it got cancelled an hour before. Then got moved to yesterday, again cancelled. So we've decided to go private and I have a scan Sunday to check up on our little bean. I'm 9 weeks 3 days today. How are you doing?x

@MissH995 how annoying your scans getting cancelled. Good luck with scan on Sunday. I’m doing ok can’t wait until my 12 week scan so we can tell people feel like the days/weeks are dragging in ☹️

Hi hope you don’t mind me joining, been following this as I’m 10 + 4. But very nervous after a previous MMC 😭 we have a private scan booked for Saturday and sooooo nervous I can’t cope 🥺

I hope everyone’s okay and feeling good! I was having lots of symptoms until I tested positive for Covid 10 days ago and since then my symptoms have been a bit up and down so not sure what’s Covid/pg so it’s very stressful and anxious atm in our house x

@CMcA21 Hi hope your ok having covid. My symptoms come and go some days I feel so sick always tired !! It’s normal for them to disappear but then reappear likely with a bang. Good luck for Saturday we had a 6 & 8 week private scan. Keep us updated how you get on x

@Nicci1985 we had one at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat but Covid ruined our plans for a 9 week one because my partner is isolating now too. Thanks for your well wishes, hopefully my symptoms come back and it’s nothing to worry about xx

@Nicci1985 hi, thanks for asking! It went really well and we got to see baby punching and kicking and they even had hiccups 😂 it was amazing to see it like that. Hope everyone is okay! ❤️

@CMcA21 that’s amazing so happy for you. 💛 I can’t wait for my 12 week scan (2 weeks to go) been super anxious and worrying today somethings wrong 🤦‍♀️ my body hasn’t given any signs somethings wrong just my overactive mind.

@Nicci1985 it will just be your mind, I was exactly the same and still am for my 12 week scan which is a week tomorrow, I will still be nervous even though we had a successful scan this weekend. I don’t think we will be able to relax 100% but only 2 weeks to go, is it your first? X

@CMcA21 No I already have a little girl age 6. I’m just nervous I think as we lost a baby start May so extra anxious this time round x

@Nicci1985 I lost my first pregnancy too in March so I understand your anxieties completely. But this will hopefully (all being well) be our first. Hope you’re feeling a little bit less anxious today x

@CMcA21 sorry for your loss, I’m feeling more positive today in back my head I think everything will be ok but it’s just that bad thought now and again think it’s as scan date gets closer. X

Hi All, I haven’t updated in a while, I am now 12 + 1. Had a scan at 11+3 and after the baby measuring smaller for first few weeks it has caught up and measuring on track! Thought it would hopefully give other some peace of mind that if baby is measuring behind in early days it’s often as baby is tiny & hard to measure. Have my booking scan next Tuesday where they will go through everything in detail so I’m hoping all will be ok. Hope everyone is well 🙏🏻 X

Hi how’s everyone getting on?

I had my scan on Monday baby measuring 3 days ahead due date 27th April 2022 feeling bit overwhelmed as I have to get extra scans and cervix checked regular due to my first daughter coming super early xx
