help...help! I have just done a clearblue pregnancy test...

there is a strong horizontal line and a faint vertical one...does that mean I am pregnant?

Never used this brand before so am confused....

a faint positive is still a positive, as long as it appeared within the allocated time and is not an evaporation line

might be faint beacuse you have not used the first wee of the day , when the hormones are more concentrated

Seems like a positive to me - as Camilla says - as long as you are reading it within the allocated time.

Is it faint like you have to turn it towards the light etc to be able to see it, or you can see it fine withiut any tilting/turning?

is it one with a control window and then you are supposed to get a cross in the other window?

if the line is in the right plcae, then the faintness does not matter

Have just looked again and there is a definate line, but faint. I didnt use the first wee of the day as I had to take my ds to the hospital so only just done it.

Am now throughly confused...by my calculation I should be due tomorrow - thats not too early to test is it? Should I go out and get a First Response one? HAve used that one before....

Yes there is a large round window and then a diamond shaped on to the right of that which is the control window.

no, don;t buy another test. if there is enough HCG to give you a positive result a day early, then you are pregnant !!

Oh so you are asking about the faint line, i think any line weather faint or not is a positive so i would say you are pregnant & a congratulations is in order

You could wait till friday/saturday & test again then if no af arrives.

In my experience clearblue are always really accurate (though I've not used the digital one) and I don't think testing the day before period is due would give false positive....Congrats!

I used the digital one & it is scray because it actually says "pregnant" so there is no messing with lines etc.

I would say it depends on your cycle and when you conceived, shouldn't be too early to test if your cycle is regular. I did a CB on monday, AF due yesterday and I thought it was a faint positive. But did Tesco one yesterday and it was negative. I'm waiting a few days before trying again, unless AF turns up to rain on my parade! For me it could have been an evaporation line on the CB, but it was blue. Am confused! Maybe try another test tomorrow? Good luck - this testing business is very testing!!

Forgot to say from reading previous posts CB tests seem bad for evap lines so don't look after 10 mins! Fingers crossed for you.
