There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@Tushka9 it’s such a relief isn’t it! Congratulations- Hopefully we can all start to relax a tiny bit about it all soon, it’s such a ball of stress isn’t it!!!

@bubblybrit - hope tomorrow goes well, I was exactly the same, utterly terrified, hope it isn’t too late in the day. I made sure I just kept busy, and had something good to watch on the telly (for me the new season of Ghosts!) the night before. It’s a bit morbid but I planned a nice thing to do after if I was (taking my daughter to an adventure farm, where we have gone today) it wasn’t (how sad but it would have been gin and a new carpet cleaner 🤣)

bubblybrit · 13/08/2021 15:45

@ItsAlice I’ve told DH that we are ordering a takeaway this evening once DD is settled in bed. My scan isn’t until 1pm but my toddler will keep me busy in the morning! God the first 12 weeks are so hard. Never worried about any of this when I was pregnant with my DD. Strange how having a mc changes your experience. Like your style with the gin though šŸ˜‚

ItsAlice · 13/08/2021 21:15

Ah yes good idea @bubblybrit - it’ll be 1pm before you know it!

Another question! My daughters bestie at nursery has just come down with chicken pox. I had it as a kid but she hasn’t had it yet. Does anyone know if I need to worry about it or just to call the GP if she does get it? That’s my current plan (followed by vaccinating her as soon as she passes the incubation stage)

EmAd21 · 14/08/2021 07:36

Hey all! Tomorrow I'll be 8 weeks and still spotting, I've kind of managed to come to terms with it now, exciting to hear the heart beat stories 🄰 hope everyone has got nice plans for their weekends 🄰

GeorgiaMcGraw · 14/08/2021 12:11

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. @EmAd21 at least you've had a good scan, so you know the spotting is probably nothing. Have you got another scan booked soon? My brown spotting turned to blood last night, bit heavier now too. No cramps yet. Either way will call GP again next week and see about a scan.

EmAd21 · 14/08/2021 15:13

@GeorgiaMcGraw hope it settles down for you, any clots? How heavy are we talking? Thankfully mines stayed light, I've been discharged from the early pregnancy unit now but can call them at any time if I have any further issues x

bubblybrit · 14/08/2021 15:29

Scan went really well today. Measuring 7+2 and got to see a lovely strong heartbeat šŸ’“ I know it’s still early days but I’m happy for now!

EmAd21 · 14/08/2021 15:34

Aww @bubblybrit I'm so glad your scan went well ,🄰

Mine has been a good amount of brown when wiping from Tuesday (tiny spotting prior to that), then a bit heavier and redder yesterday evening, had a little amount in a pad overnight. Today it's still red-brown, only when I wipe. No big clots, only ones that are maybe 1-2mm width. Had a brief cramp before. It ain't over til the fat lady sings, but I'm not holding out too much hope. Glad you're well and have had help from EPU x

So glad for you ā¤ļøā¤ļø

We moved our scan forward by a day today because my husband had to move his shifts around. 15 days to wait!!

bubblybrit · 14/08/2021 16:00

Thank you @EmAd21 @GeorgiaMcGraw. I might actually get some sleep tonight! Hope everything is ok with you both and it’s nothing more than spotting. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

heywhatswrongwitu · 14/08/2021 16:02

Hi, I've been quiet for a few weeks - feeling terrible!! And, like a few of you, I started bleeding last week so went to EPU, baby all fine (8 weeks) but have a haematoma so it looks like the bleeding will continue for the time being.
So hard to feel settled even after a scan when it's still happening.

bubblybrit · 14/08/2021 16:03

Thank you @bubblepond. The waiting is so difficult. I’m relived for now but I’m sure that the anxiety will creep in again at some point. Try and keep yourself busy and I’ll sure that the 15 days will fly in xx

It's so hard isn't it! 12 weeks can't come soon enough. How many weeks are you by dates? :)
bubblepond · 14/08/2021 16:04

@heywhatswrongwitu I'm sorry you've had some bleeding but so glad baby all ok on the scan. Really hope the bleeding stops soon for you! šŸ¤žšŸ¼

bubblybrit · 14/08/2021 16:34

@bubblepond. I’m currently 7+2. I’ll be getting the harmony test around 10 weeks and then standard 12 week NHS scan. I just couldn’t wait 12 weeks after my MMC. Early scan has given me enough reassurance for now although appreciate anything can happen. What will you be by the time your scan comes around?

bubblybrit · 14/08/2021 16:35

@heywhatswrongwitu. I can imagine that the bleeding adds extra stress but great news that baby is good at 8 weeks on your scan.

EmAd21 · 15/08/2021 11:23

@GeorgiaMcGraw that's exactly how mines been, small clots, varying between brown and red, Fingers crossed you'll be ok 🄰

enodmai · 15/08/2021 11:33

Hope I can join you, I am 7+4, I've had 3 early scans due to bleeds and previous miscarriages - my last scan was 7 weeks where we saw heartbeat, have a follow up scan tomorrow.

I could really do with some support, I'm not in the best mindset with this pregnancy

ItsAlice · 15/08/2021 16:21

Oh @enodmai I think there are a few of us here with horrific anxiety caused by previous losses or current bleeding so you are in good company! It’s an awful feeling isn’t it. Not sure about you but I find scans utterly terrifying now and am constantly scanning my body for signs of anything unusual. I even asked my GP but was told because I’d only had two losses (despite also having secondary infertility and having had pre natal depression with my daughter) that there was no support for me on the NHS and I just needed to get through it. I wish there was some practical help and techniques we could use - I’ve even emailed Tommy’s to see if they have any information on how to cope with the anxiety as just having some practical guidance on how to process an intrusive fear thought would be really helpful. Only thing I have to offer is the old mantra of ā€˜today I’m pregnant’ and being Greatful for that rather than focussing on what could go wrong. I hope the scan is nice and early in the day tomorrow and goes well so your not stewing on it for too long!

enodmai · 15/08/2021 17:22

@ItsAlice thank you, I hope you're doing okay, how far gone are you ? it's been a stressful few weeks since finding out, it's very very unexpected (failed contraception) and I've got a lot going on and I just can't get my head round it yet.

I had a little one 15 months ago who sadly caught Covid and now has a long term condition from it so I'm focusing on that at the moment, and I also had a very traumatic pregnancy and birth with her so mentally and physically I don't know if I'm ready to go through it all again.

My scan is 9.30 tomorrow thank god, although the sickness is horrendous at the moment and lasting 90% of the day so the thought of leaving the house is filling me with dread.

ItsAlice · 15/08/2021 19:24

@enodmai gosh that’s a lot on your plate, you must feel so emotionally conflicted by it all. Hope the scan goes well tomorrow and that a lot of your emotion is eased by that. Must be so hard juggling a baby with a health condition and morning sickness - those words downplay just how horrific it is! I’ve been given tablets for it because I’ve also got gallstones which make me feel sick and cause huge stomach pain from time to time, but I don’t want to take them so haven’t yet as I’m seeing how far I get without them. I’m 7 weeks and had awful morning sickness until 20 weeks with my daughter! I was starting to let myself get a bit excited about it all but my friend told me today she had a loss at 12 weeks recently and she didn’t want to say (mostly as I was a ball of jealousy of pregnant people given we’ve been TTC 18 months) - which has slightly pulled the rug from under me. Xx

This is completely understandable! It's a first pregnancy for me but I think I'd feel the same in a similar situation.
I'll be 9+4 by the time we have our scan, 7+4 today! Hopefully after that we won't have long to wait for the NHS scan. But a few days after the early scan we are seeing DH's family (they live overseas) and we wanted to be able to tell them then as we don't see them often, but wanted to know if the pregnancy was viable or not before saying anything.

bubblybrit · 16/08/2021 09:27

@bubblepond. Ah it’s so exciting isn’t it? I’m sure everything will be fine with your scan and you can share your happy news with family!
