There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

Midwife appointment isn't until wk 11 (Sept). I've gone and booked a scan privately for 8wk +3, so 13 days away. I thought that would be a good bet for seeing if there is a heartbeat this time. I hate how late the first midwife appt is, I wish there was someone to speak to with questions/concerns. It takes about an hour to get through to the gp on the phone normally. Not that i think there is much they could say or do anyway.

MyMabel · 07/08/2021 22:37

Hey all! Hope you’re all doing ok!

Just checking in as have been quiet for a while. The tiredness is increasing, but I get quite crappy feelings often too. I don’t have sore boobs which I did in my last pregnancy and no other symptoms so I got a bit worried and did a test to see how dark the line is, then going to do another next week.

I’ve always not understood why pregnant people confusing to test.. now I do! šŸ˜‚

I can completely relate! I never understood why people retested either but I think I'm on test #6 so far šŸ˜‚ Had a dye stealer today which I found reassuring but i guess it should be at 6+3! I also know it's not necessarily rational to use tests for reassurance.. but we do it anyway!

@GeorgiaMcGraw

Can I ask for some reassurance? I'm 6wk+4 today and just had some light brown discharge when wiping (sorry for tmi). Looking it up, some places say it's normal, some say it's bad. No other symptoms to speak of. I'm probably worrying more because I had a mmc last time :(
Hello @GeorgiaMcGraw I'm about 7 weeks now and have had this pretty much my entire pregnancy so far. I was scanned early (5w5) because of that (and some heavier bleeding) and everything was fine. They couldn't locate the bleeding and weren't concerned. If you are worried I would recommend asking your GP to refer you to the EPU. I was seen really quickly and they were fantastic. I wish you all the best x
GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 07:01

Thank you @hopeful. I'm really glad yours went well. I may well call the GP tomorrow about it.

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 09:14

@MyMabel how far along are u? I've been doing tests till today it's my first day not doing one šŸ˜‚ I've become obsessed. Xx

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 09:15

@broodyas I'm the exact same test test test! I totally agree gives reassurance as with my chemical I didn't get as much as a dark line xx

Hey! I think it can be normal if it's mucus and doesn't turn to red bleeding. But again I'm No expert because I had spotting with my miscarriage which was brown and I got it on and off but I've had it this time round before my bfp and seems ok! I really think if your worried phone EPu sometimes just talking to someone over the phone can put your mind at ease xx
GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 09:42

Thanks @laurenx94 I don't know how to contact epu but will phone GP tomorrow if I have any more symptoms. Could be irritated with a bit of thrush or something like that. Apparently the cervix is easily irritated at the moment. I can relate!

Smiling124 · 08/08/2021 09:53

Morning everyone!

@GeorgiaMcGraw I hope you are doing okay, sorry this is my first pregnancy so cannot be of help but here if you need anything!

I have a question, does anyone know any specific advice on exercise? I am tired but I want to try and continue my routine of walking and running but not sure if I will do any harm!

Kipkay35 · 08/08/2021 10:04

Hi everyone, I took your advice and decided for an early scan tomorrow. I will be 8+1. Still feeling soooo scared about miscarriage. My DH has finally started talking about the pregnancy. I think he was initially really scared the pregnancy wouldn't continue. But he keeps saying things like 'if this pregnancy continues..'. A protection thing I guess.

We decided not to tell anyone about the pregnancy until after the nuchal scan which is on the 8th September. We feel like it's less pressure.

Still no symptoms other than sore boobs. I'm also taking your advice of enjoying not nausea! Thank you everyone. I'll keep you updated on the scan!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 10:22

Thanks @smiling124. @kipkay35 fingers crossed for your scan, I hope you get good news :)

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 10:28

@GeorgiaMcGraw if u type Early pregnancy unit near you a number should come up! Also like u said the GP can refer u which is probably best.

@Smiling124 I would also like to know this. I usually go to a boxercise class and haven't been as we went on holiday for 2 weeks now I'm pregnant haven't been and feel the weight piling on šŸ˜‚ I know walking is fine and possibly jogging and then you can do swimming which is ment to be really good !! Also yoga if your into that! I have read most exercises are ok tho except like hiit workouts etc.

@Kipkay35 that's lovely news fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow šŸ¤ž my partner is the same he can't get excited either 😩 my scans in 2 weeks tomorrow it's dragging xxx

Smiling124 · 08/08/2021 11:53

@Laurenxx94 Im not sure on boxercisr would it be classed as a contact sport?
I have just decided to do less 5ks and more shorter runsl

ttps://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/exercise/
I walk my dog with an exercise active leaf around my middle so need to find a new technique!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 12:16

Jesus wept, anybody else having severe brain fog as a symptom? I've been dating my pregnancy as a week ahead. Turns out I'm just under 6 weeks, not just under 7 weeks. Looks like my early scan is going to be really early facepalm.

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 12:23

@Smiling124 yeah I don't think il be able to continue it, it's like a boxing class !! Very high Intensity!

Ah that sounds great I'm going to start walking too

@GeorgiaMcGraw I just said this to my Oh that I have totally lost the plot forgetting everything šŸ˜‚ how far will u be for the scan can u move it ?X

GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 12:55

@laurenxx94 it's going to be 7weeks 4 days (if I can actually count this time!). DH still thinks we should do it but if it goes well we may just book a 9 or 10 week scan too, which is probably best. Bit of extra money but if it gives peace of mind it will be worth it.

broodyas · 08/08/2021 13:04

@Laurenxx94 it's definitely reassuring! My husband thinks I'm mad though šŸ˜‚ but then funnily enough he always wants to see the test too... šŸ¤” so something tells me it reassures him too!

Walking sounds good - I'm going to carry on walking the dog and swap the gym for swimming I think

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 13:12

Ladies I've just experienced lots of brown spotting on my pants accompanied by cramps , it's not looking good how can this happen again 😩xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 13:23

@laurenxx94 I'm sorry, I really hope it's not happening again. Is there any chance it could just be heavy spotting, but not a mc? X

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 13:25

@GeorgiaMcGraw I honestly don't know it's just awful my EPU can't do anything because it's the weekend I'm just sitting here waiting for the worst xxx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 08/08/2021 13:28

@Laurenxx94 that's the problem, bodies don't let off at the weekend. Oh mate, I'm really sorry you're in this spot and it's horrible to have to wait. I'm keeping everything crossed for you Flowers

Laurenxx94 · 08/08/2021 13:30

@GeorgiaMcGraw thanks the thought of going through this again is killing me xxxx
