There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?
@Nervyy how did u tell them? We are telling people at 8 weeks I think once we get our scan just because of my chemical I told my best friends and then had to tell them that I had lost it šŸ˜ž me and Oh are dying to tell his mum because it's his first child we're pretty struggling to hold it šŸ˜‚ are u due a scan soon. X
@Laurenxx94 We got my niece a little baby grow that says 'I may be little but I'm going to be a big cousin ā¤ļø' and got my sister to help her open it! Their reactions were priceless!

I totally understand that and I am sorry to hear about your previous loss šŸ˜ž I have considered that it is very early days and anything could happen (although I do hope and pray this is a sticky little baba!ā¤ļøšŸ¤žšŸ») but I know that if god forbid anything were to happen, I'd need my sister and my mum desperately.

I have a private scan booked for Thursday when I'll be 6+5 - considered pushing it back a little as I know that's very early but I am just too keen..!
How about you?? X

Smiling124 · 07/08/2021 09:45

Morning

@Laurenxx94 I am on my 29th day of my cycle so make myself 4 weeks ish! been having symptoms for about 5 days! Going to wait another week before telling anyone as I worry the same as you! Can't decide whether to wait or book a private scan!

@nervyy thanks for your reply, so hard not to say anything!

@Elsbeth1 sorry I am not much help as haven't done one of the ear blue digital but like Lauren said it's to do with your levels!

Congratulations all xx

Laurenxx94 · 07/08/2021 09:48

@Nervyy if that hadn't happened in June I would of told people by now lol so it's just everybody's preference I think! As long as your happy ā¤ļø
It's upto u I think by 6+5 u should see a heartbeat unless your dates r off slightly it may make u a few days earlier if that makes sense? But I think u should be fine! I have my first scan on the 23rd il be 7 weeks and I mean it's dragging in I tried to move it back but the dates don't suit šŸ˜‚ and then it would be too early šŸ˜’xx

bubblybrit · 07/08/2021 11:36

Morning. Nice to see some newbies join - congrats on your news!

I’m 6+2 today. Completely exhausted so currently having a lie down whilst my DD is distracted by DH and DMIL! Won’t last long though as she isn’t very well at the moment and will start searching for mummy soon.

I’ve got a scan booked for next Saturday. Time is dragging in. Feel really apprehensive about it given my previous MMC. Just want to know that everything is - hopefully - ok!

chillichutneysarnie · 07/08/2021 12:25

Huge congrats to everyone joining!
First proper symptoms today at 5+6 for me, skipped breakfast and wolfed down most of a big brunch and suddenly hit by nausea and completely put off the rest of my plate. Then I started crying because I like food and don't want to be put off it 🤣.
I phoned midwives yesterday and they said they normally want people to phone at 8 weeks as they don't know what they're doing that far in advance. I have no idea how anyone is supposed to know this stuff 🤷

Sunbird24 · 07/08/2021 12:56

@chillichutneysarnie it does seem to vary quite a bit, I’ve got my booking in appointment bang on 8 weeks. I’ve been mostly ok with food, it’s tea I’ve completely gone off!

broodyas · 07/08/2021 13:23

@Smiling124 the first semester šŸ˜‚ that is priceless!

We haven't told anyone yet. We are planning on telling family in early September. I am dying to tell them though!!

broodyas · 07/08/2021 13:23

Also @Nervyy that idea with the baby grow for your niece is adorable!

Gotu · 07/08/2021 13:34
@Gotu sounds good and gives you something to look forward too!
How far on r u?

@Smiling124 such a good line for 3w6days , when's your due date! Congrats!
I phoned and was told to phone back at 6 weeks but could be different everywhere x
I will be 7 weeks tomorrow 😊 how far on are you?
I see a lot of people are talking about announcements..I told my mum and sister straight away because I had a mini freak out šŸ™ˆ
Thinking of telling my dad on his birthday, I bought a gold egg that sits in a nest (he has chickens) he will have to crack it and inside it says do you have any more love for one more grandchild? Definitely going to give him a heart attack šŸ™ˆ

Bdbel · 07/08/2021 14:02

I had my booking appointment today at 7w6. Spent over an hour talking through so many questions and medical history. I asked about early scans because of previous miscarriages and it sounds like they aren't doing them because they are so busy unless bleeding etc...
I had a private one at 6 weeks but will book another for 9weeks! Otherwise I'll just not believe I'm still pregnant!!
The midwife requests a date for the 12/13 week scan apparently and I should hear within 2 weeks. Everything seems so far away!

Laurenxx94 · 07/08/2021 14:50

@Gotu I'm only
Pushing 5 weeks it's dragging in just need a scan for reassurance šŸ˜ž need to wait to I'm 7 weeks tho!
Aw that's a lovely idea xx

Laurenxx94 · 07/08/2021 14:50

@Bdbel great news! I have a scan at 7 and one at 8 and will no doubt get another at 10 šŸ˜‚ just can't help myself xx

Smiling124 · 07/08/2021 16:33

I see some people talk about reassurance scans, are they just for people with a history or medical needs? Cannot decide whether to book one or be patient!

Been feeling okay today but fatigue is starting to set in! Hope you are all doing okay!

Laurenxx94 · 07/08/2021 17:06

@Smiling124 I've had 3 miscarriages - 2 before my daughter then 1 before this pregnancy. So they said with my history they would give me one I didn't think they would so booked a private for 7 weeks so I now have them a week apart but I'm happy with that! I will book another for 10 weeks too 😬 if u want it for peace of mind I would say book it! Definetely helps I think. Xx

Smiling124 · 07/08/2021 17:12

@Laurenxx94 sorry lovely, I am definatley going to book one! Sending this baby dust cuddle slowly getting exciting!

Laurenxx94 · 07/08/2021 17:16

@Smiling124 when r u thinking of booking it for xx

Smiling124 · 07/08/2021 18:51

@Laurenxx94 not too sure!

Going to look into one's closer to us, maybe 8 weeks! I am hoping the restrictions are a lot better for covid and partners! Not sure what it's like at the moment!

How you doing today!

Laurenxx94 · 07/08/2021 18:58

@Smiling124 ok got another dye stealer bit darker than Wednesdays so I'm happy lol just can't wait to get my scan šŸ˜ž I'm so worried xx

GeorgiaMcGraw · 07/08/2021 21:12

Can I ask for some reassurance? I'm 6wk+4 today and just had some light brown discharge when wiping (sorry for tmi). Looking it up, some places say it's normal, some say it's bad. No other symptoms to speak of. I'm probably worrying more because I had a mmc last time :(

bubblybrit · 07/08/2021 21:39

@GeorgiaMcGraw. The brown spotting I had prior to my mc was similar to coffee granules. I also had cramping which started mild and then became more severe. It was at this point that the brown spotting turned to bleeding heavily. Light brown spotting in the absence of points above is pretty normal I think. Probably old blood that has been disturbed in some way (my friend experienced this in early pregnancy after dtd with her DH)!

Sunbird24 · 07/08/2021 21:40

Hey @GeorgiaMcGraw I think if it’s brown and only if you wipe it’s usually ok, a bit of spotting does seem pretty normal in the first couple of months

GeorgiaMcGraw · 07/08/2021 21:46

Thanks @bubblybrit and @sunbird24. It was just once tonight when going to the loo, not really coffee granule stuff, more thick cervical mucus but pale brown. Only experiencing some vague, light cramps that I seem to get here and there most days. It's just horrible feeling so powerless and like it's just going to keep going wrong. All I can do is wait, I suppose. Fingers crossed for all of us x

Sunbird24 · 07/08/2021 22:03

@GeorgiaMcGraw totally understand, all 3 of my miscarriages have been discovered at scan, with no symptoms of anything wrong (apart from the voice in my head about a week before the last one that just said ā€œI’m not pregnant any moreā€) 😣 We do go through some drama don’t we?

GeorgiaMcGraw · 07/08/2021 22:08

Oh @sunbird24 I'm so sorry you've been through that 3 times. I hope you never have to experience it again. It really is horrible, and I imagine it's quite natural to assume the worst. I suppose we have to keep thinking that statistically speaking, we're likely to have a healthy pregnancy even after mc.

Sunbird24 · 07/08/2021 22:16

It’s true, and also that worrying won’t make any difference to the outcome - the thing to remember is ā€˜right now I am pregnant’. You can remind yourself of that as often as you need. How soon til your first scan/midwife appointment?
