There’s already a March thread but everyone seems so far along already with people
Due at the beginning of March.

I’ve estimated I’m due around 29th of March so thought I’d make a thread for that! Anyone else?
Ive just come back from holiday, I took the tests the first day we got there to check if it could enjoy a cocktail or two.. ended up with mocktails instead! Grin

How are we feeling? Any symptoms yet?

@Shad0w how are you doing? I'm afraid I can't offer any advice but wanted to check in. I had a look on dr google and apparently some people do bleed on the first trimester but it must be stressful. Have you called EPU? I'd ask for a scan if you can just for reassurance x

I'm doing ok thank you. I have spoken to a clinician after phoning 111 and have been advised to call my GP again on Monday and possibly have a check up/early scan

hopeful234 · 24/07/2021 19:42

@Shad0w

Has anybody else had bleeding? It's really starting to worry me now. It's not a huge amount and is just when I wipe and the doctor on Thursday on the phone just asked me to phone if it didn't stop. Being out of hours I have rang 111 and just waiting for a call back from a clinician.

It's not got any heavier and is not all the time. Nothing in a pad/underwear. Just a small amount when I wipe after using the toilet

Hello. I have had bleeding on an off over the last three weeks. The NHS website says that spotting is common in the first trimester. I saw a GP who didn't seem concerned but has referred me to the EPU. They won't scan until about 8 weeks though so I've just been told to sit tight and wait (which is very difficult). Let us know how you get on x
Bdbel · 24/07/2021 19:59

@Shad0w @hopeful234 i am sure all will be well. Not knowing and waiting is so hard. ā¤ļø

Nervyy · 24/07/2021 20:13

@Bluebell88 I totally get that! I caved and booked a scan for what I think is approx 7 weeks (although only 5 weeks PO). I accidentally booked for Friday the 13th and although I don’t really class myself as superstitious, I immediately called and changed it to Thursday the 12th!!
I also took another test today which said ā€˜2-3’ so I’m hoping things are on track.
I knew I’d be nervous during pregnancy but never thought I’d be this bad!!
So glad to have others to bounce off. :)
Are you having any symptoms??

Nervyy · 24/07/2021 20:14

@Babiii congratulations!! 😊

Nervyy · 24/07/2021 20:17

@Shad0w I know it’s easier said than done but all signs suggest spotting is normal during the first trimester, try not to worry and keep calling the GP / 111 if you think something really isn’t right. They have a duty of care to ensure your well-being. Hang tight ā¤ļø

Shad0w · 24/07/2021 20:28

Thanks everyone! Smile will def keep you all updated xx

Shad0w · 24/07/2021 20:28

@hopeful234 šŸ¤žšŸ¼ fingers crossed all is well for you x

GabeKhera · 24/07/2021 21:24

@Shad0w just be positive and watch yourself. I had brown discharge yesterday all day, same, nothing on the pad, only when wiping. Today all clean. My friend on her second pregnancy had about two spoons of bleeding at 7 weeks, she was sent to an emergency scan and it was all good. So let's be positive, try to understand more about our bodies and pregnancy development and think just about ourselves and our peanuts right now šŸ˜‰

MyMabel · 24/07/2021 21:32

Hey everyone; sorry I’ve missed a lot today. I’ve been helping my brother at a fete with his stall so I haven’t checked in today! Also in bed with such bad bellyache now. You know the type of pain where you lie in bed promising to take better care of yourself of the pain goes away.

@Shad0w I hope you’re ok! I have no advice for you but please keep us updated :)

Thank you for all the support 😊 I hope everybody else is doing well

Lalala1985 · 24/07/2021 23:56

Hope it's OK to join. Got my my BFP(vvvfl on FRER) this morning, then retested this evening and have faint but clear line this evening. According to FF we should be due 8th April.

How did your partners take the news? I was surprised at how my DH was like "well let's not get out hopes up" and then continued with what he was doing, I thought he'd be really excited and want to celebrate in some way. I now think it's partly because I've been really worried about my own ability to conceive and I've been offloading that on him. I'm 35 and haven't used any contraception in 8 years, we've had plenty of months when we've not purposefully DTD close to ovulation (I always know when that is as I get quite strong pains), and never had a BFP. I've got a prolactinoma that hasn't quite reacted in a normal way. I was ready to go to a fertility clinic in August to discuss next steps when I got the BFP, and it only took 6 cycles. Anyway I've more or less repeatedly told him we're probably going to need IVF, so whoops...

Nervyy · 25/07/2021 07:36

Firstly, congratulations!! šŸ’• I had a friend in a very similar position although she has PCOS, actively trying for around 6 years and about to consider IVF when BOOM, BFP, which is now a happy and healthy little toddler!

Have you asked your DH why he seemed to under-react ? Perhaps he is trying to protect himself from any potential hurt in the event that something does go wrong? (god willing it doesn’t!). If that is the case then maybe have a chat with him about how you’re feeling and see if he bounces off of that x

Posted twice as forgot to tag, sorry!

Cheekymonkey3112 · 25/07/2021 07:43

@Lalala1985 congrats!! How exciting. I wouldn't worry about DH, mine was exactly the same but then the following day started asking questions like 'when can we tell DS?' And then asking DS on the sly if he'd like a baby and talking about what would happen to baby's room and my moods etc. I think they are deep down excited but just don't know what to make of it. Its not happening to their body, I don't think it becomes totally real for them until they have that baby in their arms. Xxx

MyMabel · 25/07/2021 08:23

@Lalala1985 I’m the same, I’ve watched far too many ā€˜pregnancy accouncement’ videos I think, I expected there to be gasps, tears and beaming smiles; but my DP was like ā€œoh okay then. let’s just wait and seeā€

Infuriating but I don’t think I helped myself by expecting the same as all the extravagant YouTube videos šŸ˜‚

He’s very excited, and says so- and now we’re a few weeks in he mentions it off the bat while when we first found out it’s almost like he didn’t want to say I was pregnant because it was so early!

Aww so lovely to meet you all! Looking forward to chatting with you along this journey.

I take everything back about DH being uninterested, he's a bit of a car nerd, we went to a car show today and he kept going on about what car he should get in 9 months ( his current ones aren't suitable for a baby), and now I'm sat with his watching YouTube videos on family friendly but still very powerful cars Hmm.

It seems silly, but that's his way of getting excited 😊

GabeKhera · 25/07/2021 16:04

Hi ladies 😊 everyone is having their own exitement moments and dealing with it differently. My husband just got on my nerves by announcing it over the phone to his dad 😤 when previously I told him all plan how we are gonna announce it to all family. But what's done so done. At least my family don't know anything yet and he is not able to tell them 😊

MyMabel · 25/07/2021 16:41

@Lalala1985 ah mines into his cars too! He’s just landing his dream job working with motorsport cars and now starting to build engines so he’s in his element šŸ™‰

Oh no @GabeKhera!! How typical!

@MyMabel that's brilliant! Mine is very into as a hobby, though he does have a masters in mechanical engineering, he ended up working in tech!

It still all feels way too good to be true. Anyone else doing pregnancy tests to see how much the lines get darker? I've still only got anything concrete on a FRER but then I only have 25miu Femometer sticks otherwise. I had a bit of a panic, this morning with FMU on the 25miu I had a faint line then this afternoon it had gone. Rushed out to get a FRER, and it was darker again than last night. Phew! Must have just been dilute pee.
I think everything will feel so much more real when I've actually missed my period which won't be until Tuesday/ Wednesday.

Gotu · 25/07/2021 19:16

Just found out I’m 5weeks pregnant due roughly the 26th of March, first time for both of us. Everyone so far that has been told is fine/happy with it (dtb, mum, sister and dtb mum) and I’m the one that’s had the cry and freak out over it šŸ˜‚
Not spoke to dr yet or booked anything yet..not really sure where to start šŸ™ˆ
Feeling very tired and a tiny bit nauseous but nothing too bad yet.

GabeKhera · 25/07/2021 19:36

When someone is asking me how do I feel, I will start to answer them 'like a pregnant' I think šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ my lower back pain is killing me, as I never got totally fine after my first birth. I also was left with a little baby weight tummy as well and now when I feel like I woul've swallowed a balloon, I litterally and look like that 😊 there is not even a chance for me to hide my pregnancy as I look like I would be 20 weeks šŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆšŸ™ˆ does anyone else had same problem who is not a first time mums?

spookycookies · 25/07/2021 19:59

I will need maternity wear by 9weeks. No way will I be able to hide it past 12.

My work trousers were feeling tight before I found out! Mu tunic is big though so hopefully I can hide it. Normal clothes will just be baggy tops, dresses etc that can hide a little bump.
