It'd be lovely to chat to people in a similar situation!

@Maui69 Yes same here! 13th as per last scan (but 15th as per LMP). Welcome x

Maui69 · 27/07/2021 16:58

@AlwaysSeekingComfort aww great! So your 7w 2 days today too? How have you been feeling so far? Is this your first? Xx

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 27/07/2021 17:06

Yes I am indeed. Thought I was due 13th Mar, but had early scan last week @ EPU due to brown bleeding and they dated me 6w5 (EDD 15th March) so yes my app is telling me I am 7w2d today! I have felt fine…. Which worries me as this is how I felt when I had my MC. Had no symptoms at all. The only thing I’ve felt is tender(ish) boobs today and that’s it. How are you feeling? Yes this is my first, is it yours? X

Maui69 · 27/07/2021 17:14

@AlwaysSeekingComfort how did your early scan go? I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Try to stay positive (easier said than done I know) I've been feeling quite sick for about a week now, comes and goes in waves, also got tender boobs mostly my nipples though, they're very sensitive. I also had a crazy dizzy spell the other morning, woke up and the room was spinning, that last a few hours but then just eased off into sickness. Aww have you told anyone yet? This is my second, I also have an almost 4 year old. Xx

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 27/07/2021 20:17

@Maui69 it went OK. They could see a SCH which they think was what was causing the brown bleed. I haven’t had any bleed since. Yes is sooo difficult especially when I don’t even feel pregnant ☹️. Ooo getting all those PG symptoms which is good! Nope, haven’t told anyone…. I can’t bring myself too as I’m scared of a MC again. This time around I am going to wait until after 12w. Have you told anyone? Awww how lovely that it’s your second 🤍

Maui69 · 27/07/2021 21:17

@AlwaysSeekingComfort I had around 4 days of brown spotting with my first at 6 weeks and all turned out well. Try to stay positive as much as you can. No I haven't told anyone yet either!

Nikkixx · 27/07/2021 22:06

@AlwaysSeekingComfort what's sch and I'm praying for you hun, I'm sure its nothing to worry about xx

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 27/07/2021 22:26

@Nikkixx thanks hun! And it’s a subchronic heamotoma (I definitly haven’t spelt it right lol!) x

Milly238 · 28/07/2021 09:50

Hi everyone! I’m also due middle of March - found out before my missed period so feel like I’ve known for ages. I’m around 7 weeks today although can’t be 100% sure what exact day I conceived as OPKs weren’t playing ball that month!

@AlwaysSeekingComfort I know how you feel about the lack of symptoms. I’ve been worrying about not feeling any nausea whatsoever - was expecting that to kick in from 6 weeks! Never thought I’d wish for myself to feel sick! I had an early scan like you and just trying to remind myself to focus on the scan as evidence that things are going well as opposed to symptoms that vary so much from person to person. It is hard not to worry though!! Flowers

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 28/07/2021 09:56

Hey @Milly238 congrats lovely 💐 is this your first?

Oh it’s so nice to speak to others who don’t have symptoms either, makes you feel like you aren’t the only one! So welcome to the no symptom club 🤣. Did you have an early scan for reassurance? Or because of previous MC/s? Or just because you wanted to see your little bean? X

Maui69 · 28/07/2021 10:06

Symptoms are a worry. Mine seem to come and go which makes my anxiety rocket xx

Milly238 · 28/07/2021 10:11

@AlwaysSeekingComfort thanks so much and congrats to you too! Yep it’s my first - we’d been trying a while so I’m pleased I finally got my BFP. Is this your first child as well? So sorry to hear you’ve experienced loss before Flowers just remember that this is a new pregnancy with new possibilities and that so far everything looks great for you! I haven’t had any losses myself but I have anxiety and I just wanted to see what was going on so decided to book a private scan at 6 weeks just for reassurance and all was good with the little bean although I know it’s early days yet! I read online that something like 20% of women don’t get nausea or MS so perhaps us no symptom girls are among those lucky ones!! Grin

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 28/07/2021 10:18

@Milly238 thank you! Awww how lovely! This is my first too! And thank you, I know, I hope this one is successful I really do 🤞🏻. And I’m glad you haven’t had any losses and hope you never have to experience it! But yes, it’s nice seeing them on that screen and giving you reassurance with their little HB’s flickering! I suppose 20% is quite a lot isn’t it! That’s comforting! I am definitely very bloated but I think that’s because of these pregnacare vits im taking. I have a private scan booked for around 9w which is not this Monday, next. So am a little anxious for that one as that’s the age the baby died last time. Positive vibes though ✨

Milly238 · 28/07/2021 10:48

@AlwaysSeekingComfort oh gosh the bloating is real over here too! Maybe someone is looking out for us to spare us the nausea 😂 I’m taking pregnacare as well so maybe that’s making mine worse too. Oh bless you can see why you’re anxious for your upcoming scan but I’m sending you ALL the positive vibes and baby dust your way for your next scan and it’s so good you don’t have to wait long until then to see your little bean! ❤️

Is anyone else feeling weirdly hungry all the time?

I've constantly got this gnawing empty feeling in my tummy, as if I haven't eaten for days, and it makes me feel a bit hungover / very slightly nauseous. I don't fancy actually eating, but when I do eat I feel better for an hour, and then it starts again!

I don't remember this with my previous pregnancy, I would just feel horrendously sick, and then better once I ate (if I could keep it down) but I don't recall feeling hungry / empty tummy all the time!

I will be the size of a house if I keep picking at things all day, I'm already far heavier than I should be 😳

PaperFleur · 28/07/2021 15:53

Hello all, I'm 6+5, due 17th March - this is my second pregnancy after a missed miscarriage last summer.
@AlwaysSeekingComfort - I've been diagnosed with a subchorionic haematoma too, I was scanned by EPU after some bleeding last week. Thankfully it's pretty much stopped now, just occasional spotting, but I have a private scan booked for this weekend, so will get to see how everything's looking then.
I've not had any sickness yet, although @treesall I also get the really empty stomach feeling a lot of the time. Especially before bed, so I have to have an emergency piece of toast or I lie awake feeling iffy! I was trying to describe it to my husband and hungover was the word I used too, when you really don't feel like eating the morning after, but you know you'll feel better when you do...

AlwaysSeekingComfort · 28/07/2021 15:59

Hey @PaperFleur congrats 💐 and awwww so sorry you have had a previous loss. Glad it was a SCH causing the bleeding and not anything sinister! And pleased to hear the bleeding has stopped! Another one not getting many preg symptoms like the rest of us! So pleasing to know it’s not unusual!

I don’t have what you and @treesall have, I think that’s because I feel bloated all the time… but wanting to eat all the time could be because you are eating for 2 now 🤪. X

JuneySunshine · 28/07/2021 17:09

Hi @treesall

Can totally relate on the hunger. I'm nauseous quite often and only feel better when I'm eating. The hunger is really strong. I'm also getting this weird panic around food, like worrying that I won't have any or getting really anxious when I start to get hungry and it's not possible to eat immediately. I've started carrying snacks around with me because if we were out on a walk with friends for example and it started I feel like I'd either throw up or have a breakdown. Really awkward in these early stages as no-one knows so I just have to be this odd person with a stash of biscuits for no good reason 😅
Sure it's just our bodies trying to ensure we get what we need. I'm taking a supplement and hardly stick thin so not sure why I feel such urgency!

Milly238 · 28/07/2021 17:15

@treesall I’ve been feeling like this too for the past week! I can eat and eat and feel hungry often but don’t know what I actually want to eat apart from carbs. It’s got a bit better today I have to say and I haven’t felt as hungry between meals so might be our bodies adjusting to the change in hormones?

PaperFleur · 28/07/2021 17:16

@JuneySunshine - I feel like carrying a stash of biscuits should always be totally normal, no reason needed! Grin
@AlwaysSeekingComfort - I'm bloated as well as perma-hungry, so basically a massively inflated tummy but still cramming toast in there, or cheese and crackers is another favourite of mine!

JuneySunshine · 28/07/2021 17:23

@PaperFleur Certainly seems to be a hot parenting tip so maybe I'll just be carrying biscuits for the next 10 years now 😅

treesall · 28/07/2021 20:00

@PaperFleur @JuneySunshine @Milly238 I'm glad it's not just me feeling starving. It's horrible!!

@AlwaysSeekingComfort that's where I went wrong in my first pregnancy and I'm still carrying the extra weight 3.5 years later as a result 😂😂

JuneySunshine · 28/07/2021 20:39

On a related note to eating, how is everyone doing with exercise? I normally run (more like plodding) but my news had made me a bit tentative along with the really hot weather.

Went out tonight despite feeling a bit queasy and actually felt fine and did 20 minutes so feeling very pleased with myself now. Also thinking of doing some pregnancy yoga on YouTube.

This is my first pregnancy so unsure what to expect in terms of keeping this up but I suppose until the third trimester (all being well) I won't be much heavier...

Nikkixx · 28/07/2021 23:17

@JuneySunshine if you find good yoga then tag me on this! Thanks x

PaperFleur · 29/07/2021 10:01

@JuneySunshine I'm also a regular runner normally, but had been a bit worried about doing it since being diagnosed with the SCH. However I went out yesterday morning (last week was a write off with it being so hot, I hate running in the heat!) and did the same as you, about 20 minutes, and no problems at all, although I did go quite a bit slower than normal. I like BodyFit by Amy for online pregnancy workouts (she does do some yoga but it's mostly aerobics type stuff, but all free): bodyfitbyamy.com/prenatal-workouts/. I'm still doing "normal" yoga for now (Yoga with Adriene) but have adapted some bits if I feel like it's overstretching my stomach.
