I really honestly don't think it does Franny. But hopefully you'll get more informative and potentially reassuring replies here. It was only a couple of days ago you were feeling really bad. It might have just been a virus anyway. And lots of women have healthy pregnancies, like my sister in law, and not feel sick at all. I know googling can convince you of your greatest fears, I try to forbid myself doing that now, as last week was sure i had listeria! Ask your midwife but please try not to worry.

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 18/11/2007 08:42

how many weeks?

FrannyandZooey · 18/11/2007 08:43

Thanks Ruty

I am pretty sure it was not a virus as it went on and off for days

I haven't GOT a midwife nobody has got in touch

and I wouldn't be worried if I had never had any sickness, but to have it and then have it stop, does not seem right to me

7 weeks

m sickness started 6 weeks

FrannyandZooey · 18/11/2007 08:44

oh god I am sure this is not right

at first I just thought "oh thank god I have found a way to deal with it"

now I just think "oh fuck why has it stopped"

deenymcqueenygoreandguts · 18/11/2007 08:46

do you still "feel" pregnant?

could have been a tummy bug you know.

franke · 18/11/2007 08:46

How long since it stopped? Mine has pretty much come to an end now, but how bad it was really depended on how utterly exhausted I was feeling. So some days I was absolutely floored by it and others I hardly noticed it. Probably not much help, sorry. I agree with Ruty though, stay off the internet!

goingfor3 · 18/11/2007 08:46

MS comes and goes. We moan about it when we have it and then worry when it's gone! Try to enjoy it while you can because it will come back, it is very normal for it to come and go.

FrannyandZooey · 18/11/2007 08:48

I still have sore breasts

didn't really have any other symptoms

it has been fluctuating since last week but I always felt at least slightly sick / bloated / whatever

now I just feel absolutely normal and have for 2 days

STEP AWAY FROM THE INTERNET.

I was the same tho, it came back at 8 weeks.......lasted till i was 17 weeks...fecking awful BUT like you i was relieved to be feeling sick.

comes and goes, hormones....funny things.

TheMaskedPoster · 18/11/2007 08:51

ah yes I remember the sheer panic of feeling ok at about 8 weeks or so (after moaning about not being able to eat anything etc) ... my MS did return though (along with relief and more moaning)

franke · 18/11/2007 08:52

Sore breasts is a good sign. I think goingfor3 is right - it will come and go. Sometimes my face is spotty, sometimes it is completely clear - I see it as the hormones needed being released in batches, so nothing happens for a bit then wham! here it all comes again. Certainly, the bloated feeling is very on off with me, even now at 14 weeks.

sophiewd · 18/11/2007 08:54

Franny, I am 8 weeks and had MS fo about 5 days and stopped at week 5, and was the same for last pregnancy. I am sure you will be OK, I did point tis out to MW and she said as long as not bleeding then fine, was just lucky.

zippitippitoes · 18/11/2007 08:58

franny don't worry maybe your hormones have jsut settled down

ahundredtimes · 18/11/2007 09:05

It could have been a tummy bug Franny. You could easily have had a sicky viral thing for a week.

This is more normal for you isn't it? You didn't have MS last time. If you have no pains or cramps or bleeding, then I would think everything is fine.

FrannyandZooey · 18/11/2007 09:34

thank you all that is kind of reassuring

it is perfect timing I must admit because of this meet

ooh I wish i knew everything was ok

I know everybody feels like this

isn't it awful about the midwife situation? I had to hassle the surgery to get a first appointment, which i was supposed to have before my dating scan. Eventually someone came out who was just covering, i've never heard from the surgery's midwife.

i was worried i didn't feel sick for the first five, six weeks, and then it came on after that. I had very slight spotting once and was convince it was a m/c. Thing is, the first three months are always a bit worrying, as it is all so uncertain, but it does'nt mean something is wrong. Please try to chill about it!

ConnorTraceptive · 18/11/2007 10:23

Have to say there is no rhymme nor reason to bloody morning sickness. I had it really badly and took medication and it stopped completely at 18 weeks then at 21 weeks it came back suddenly without warning and was so bad i went back on medication. A week later it stopped.

It could be that you had a slight bug that made the sickness worse than what it would have been without the bug IYKWIM. COuld you do a pregnancy test?

LadyVictoriaOfCake · 18/11/2007 10:34

no it doesnt mean anything is wrong. some people have a couple of days morning sickness, some people last the whole nine months with their head down the loo chucking up.

SHEENA1 · 18/11/2007 10:59

I Dont think there is anything wrong mine stops n starts i can go a week or 2 with nothin then it comes back worse than it left

ruty · 19/11/2007 09:35

Hope you're ok Franny.

debinaustria · 19/11/2007 09:41

How are you today?

DumbledoresGirl · 19/11/2007 09:43

Franny, when this happened to me, it meant I had lost a twin. But I did not know (or want) twins so it was not a lasting loss for me. My little boy was fine.

I really hope you are OK today. {{{{hugs}}}}

FrannyandZooey · 19/11/2007 18:16

Oh thank you all and I am sorry to hear that DG.

I still just feel fine. It is quite odd.

What would a pregnancy test show? If something has gone wrong will it show negative?
