Pregnant again 9 weeks postpartum!?!?

So my DH and I got carried away a few weeks ago. The morning after I checked my Clue and realised that I was likely ovulating the day before.

The last week or so I have been having random nausea like I’m a going to throw up that second but it disappears quickly. I have super tender and achey boobs and yesterday just was exhausted, more that usual with an 9 week old! I’ve done a few tests and can see very faint lines but not sure if they are just me seeing things that aren’t there. What do you think?

If it turns out that I am pregnant I will have 3 under 2.5! I know, I know - there’s always a chance of getting pregnant any time you have sex. I’m just so anxious that i am. I’m hoping all these symptoms are in my head because I really don’t know how wed cope with another baby. My DH finds the newborn stage very very stressful and our differing parenting styles cause conflict quite often. I’m worried our marriage would end up beyond any come back to repair.

Has anyone had children so close together. I through DS1 and DS2 were close in age at 20 months!

I honestly can't see any lines at all. Also, and I might be wrong on this, but I don't think your Clue would accurately predict your ovulation that quickly after having a baby.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 19/05/2021 09:02

I can’t see anything.

nellly · 19/05/2021 09:03

Hm I can sort of see the shadow you're meaning but not sure it's a positive. And clue is unreliable at the best of times for predicting ovulation it's why they took off the fertile window predictions

Branleuse · 19/05/2021 09:08

I cant see the lines you are talking about, but I got pregnant this quickly after dc2 and dc2 and 3 have less than a year between them. Im not gonna lie, it has been really hard at times but on the other hand, with regards to practicality later on and closeness between the children, its quite a good gap, especially if you can get organised, get a decent routine etc

Rose3419 · 19/05/2021 09:17

I know clue isn’t anywhere near 100% but it set it the panic when I realised what day in my cycle I was.

Hopefully it is just line eyes!! My DH couldn’t see the lines either. The cheapie was taken this morning and the photo was taken quickly after taking the test so I assume any lines I can see wouldn’t be evap?

Branleuse, did you Dc1 at home also when dc3 came along? Think it’d be less daunting if ds1 was at school full time but he’ll only be in nursery 3 days a week by then.

I can't see any lines but it can be less clear in photos.
Is that a FRER with FMU?

It's unclear from your posts whether you want to be pregnant or not... you said you panicked but you didn't take the MAP so maybe you didn't mind that much? If you don't want to be pregnant, use contraception. If you would like to be, hope it is in fact positive and if so congratulations.

Rose3419 · 19/05/2021 09:27

The first one yes is FRER, not FMU but the second is FMU.

Sorry! Should have been clearer I did take the MAP literally 8 hours later the next morning. We used protection but usually dont have sex around ovulation when not TTC as I’m not able to use hormonal contraception. I am now waiting for coil to be fitted. My GP is exceptionally slow at the moment. Being my first cycle I just lost track of days!

NameChange30 · 19/05/2021 09:41

If you took the MAP you are very unlikely to be pregnant. But you could take another FRER first thing tomorrow morning to be sure.

For the coil, try your local family planning clinic. I got one fitted at my local FP clinic after DC2 was born. I was reassured by the fact that they do it all the time!

Arrierttyclock · 19/05/2021 10:17

The MAP dosent work if you're ovulating- found that out the hard way. Good luck! If you can't use the pill maybe your DH can use condoms so you don't have this worry again

Rose3419 · 19/05/2021 10:25

I’ll contact my local FP clinic, thank you!

We do use condoms and did this time as well, always still a chance though!

SmidgenofaPigeon · 19/05/2021 11:39

Hang on- you used condoms, you took a morning after pill, you haven’t accurately tracked ovulation, 9 weeks pp, and the test looks negative. And again, YOU USED A CONDOM.

Is this a joke? I’m thoroughly confused as to how on earth you think you’re pregnant given all that.

Branleuse · 19/05/2021 11:44

with all that, I think youre probably not pregnant OP. Fingers crossed x

SmidgenofaPigeon · 19/05/2021 11:46

I’m so confused about why you’d take a morning after pill if you’d used a condom Confused

Rose3419 · 19/05/2021 11:48

I don’t understand why people are so negative towards others on here. I’ve never posted before because I have seen others brought down for no reason other than asking a question. What is the point of forums if you can’t ask questions and share experiences.

We used a condom, I took the MAP and yes I’m not 100% of when or if I did ovulate. I just was looking for some others viewpoints that is all. The tests to me look faint positive and I am having symptoms of early pregnancy. I am aware that they could be Evap lines and that I could just be coming on my period. I also know as others on here have become pregnant after taking the MAP and we all know that condoms are not 100% effective like all forms of contraception.

DeadButDelicious · 19/05/2021 11:48

I can't see anything and given the use of a condom and MAP I think you're probably pretty safe.

Checkingout811 · 19/05/2021 11:51

I can’t see anything on either test.
For comparison; this is my test this morning and I’m not due for another 2 days.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 19/05/2021 11:55

I’m not trying to be negative it’s just surprising that with the kids we of condoms (which are pretty effective) and the MAP (which is pretty effective) you would worry yourself about being pregnant- you didn’t mention the lengths you’d gone to to prevent being pregnant when you posted. There is practically zero chance.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 19/05/2021 11:55

*use of condoms

Rose3419 · 19/05/2021 11:55

Thank you ☺️

@Checkingout811 congratulations!

Bluntness100 · 19/05/2021 11:55

I can’t see any lines either and as you used a condom, took the map I’d say with what is clearly a negative test it’s highly unlikely you’re pregnant.

Confused
Rose3419 · 19/05/2021 11:58

@SmidgenofaPigeon I really don’t want to come across as rude but in my post I was just asking if anyone could see any lines and if anyone had had children so close in age.

I wasn’t really asking about whether anyone thought I could be pregnant based on the circumstances as that is literally guess work so didn’t really feel the need to mention any of this in my original post.

OP posts:
Checkingout811 · 19/05/2021 12:01

I also have a 20 month age gap with my DS.
I think you’re safe though OP. When are you due?

Hullish · 19/05/2021 12:01

The MAP doesn’t work if you have already ovulated, and the OP says she ovulated the day before according to her app.

I can see a shadow on the FRER but nothing on the second one?

Firstbornunicorn · 19/05/2021 12:02

I actually do see a line on the FRER OP, but they are terrible for evaps. I’d say you’re probably ok, but test again tomorrow!

SmidgenofaPigeon · 19/05/2021 12:04

I guess, but would be helpful info to reassure you you’re not pregnant, I presume you didn’t want to be because you used contraception AND took the MAP. I can’t see any line at all in any case.
