Thank you, it's just brown spotting at the moment and no pain so hoping all is ok 🤞

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 11:42

@burtle4 thank you, I really hope your scan goes well. Good that they can fir you in today!
@LAR96 I have no idea where the nub is on the photo, no idea what to look for!
My DD8 is born on 20th December Smile

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 11:44

@jade0881 I think majority of mother's get an inkling like a feeling of what we are having. I was right with my daughter. I think the sun makes the exhaustion and sickness worse aswell, makes me feel drained. Glad you're not doing too bad though.

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 11:46

@burtle4 I was never offered a scan as I didn't have any pain, My reassurance eased off when the discharge past and I am definitely getting a bigger belly, I have booked a private gender reveal 2 weeks tomorrow so exciting!

@Curlymam88 ahh that's so lovely, we can chat on here if we end up going into labor the same day haha! I'm no expert I have just been looking at loads of scans on the nubologist facebook page!

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 11:52

@jade0881 I have an incline mine is a boy but everyone I know is saying girl!
I'm not sure if I think boy because I would love a girl as there is no girls in the house besides me haha! I am happy either way, If its a boy Ill have to get a another dog that's a girl or something!

Conversations in my house are about poo or willys! HA

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 11:56

@LAR96 if baby doesn't come really early I will probably end up having a section. I have to have growth scans every 4 weeks towards the end of pregnancy. I think once baby is right size they'll pop them out. The Insulin and not stable blood sugars can make babies grow bigger quicker, hence the growth scans. Kind of hope I'm in and oit of hospital for my DD birthday and Xmas though Grin

roomonbroom · 18/06/2021 11:57

I know I'm a bit late to join but I'm due on the 26th December and thought it would be nice to talk to other pregnant women who are due around the same time. It's my second baby, I already have a little girl who's 22 months old.
Just when I thought the awful morning/all day sickness started to ease I came down with a heavy cold, and cough, I'm feeling really rough and struggling a bit during the day with my daughter while OH is at work. I had a dating scan at 9 weeks, and I'm really looking forward to my 12 week scan on the 23rd next week, although I'll be 13+3 by then.
How's everyone feeling today?

burtle4 · 18/06/2021 11:59

Have just come out and they can't see any visible reason for spotting. Placenta is well formed and baby was looking perfect ❤ got a much better view of him/her than we did in 12 week scan!! The sonographer asked if I wanted her thoughts on gender and I was so tempted but my husband wasn't with me so I couldn't say yes 🙈
Thanks for all your support ladies, just have to hope the spotting goes away now!

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 11:59

@Curlymam88 oh bless you!

This is my first so the thought of labor is petrifying right now haha!
I would love a scan every 4 weeks!! Hope baby and you keep well, I know how hard diabetes can be. My best friend has had it since she was born and she's always catching bugs ! xx

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 12:14

Hi @roomonbroom Me and my daughter love that book lol. I was 13w2d with my scan today. Hope it comes around quick for you.
@burtle4 so glad everything was looking good at the scan. Id have been so tempted to find out too!!
@LAR96 I'm sure Labour will be fine. I think once it starts happening all you'll be able to think about is getting the baby out, I can imagine it being an amazing feeling afterwards knowing what you've managed to do. I've been diabetic for about 23 years, but I must be one of the lucky ones I hardly ever get ill. Fingers crossed and touch wood now though!! Grin

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 12:28

I've just seen a site called thegenderexperts.com where you can upload your scans and they email you to let you know what they think it'll be. 8.99 I think it costs though!

jade0881 · 18/06/2021 12:59

@Curlymam88 yes exactly hun your right.. thanks for asking how I was hun x

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 12:59

@burtle4 glad everything was ok, I would of been so tempted for her to guess haha!
@Curlymam88 ah that's okay then! I have only got to wait 2 weeks to find out the gender so I am just going to be patient haha x

jade0881 · 18/06/2021 13:01

@LAR96 lol I know that feeling. My OH is the only male in my house. Even my cats are girls lol. My OH would love a son as so do I and my daughters but I'm happy with whatever I have. This baby is a blessing. X

@roomonbroom congratulations and welcome to the thread. It's never to late to join. You have a nice age gap between your daughter and baby.. I really do hope you get better soon hun. X

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 13:04

@jade0881 100% agree!
As long as the baby is healthy that is all that matters.

Just to let you all know too, just received my downs, edwards & pataus screening results and have come back low risk, I am amazed with the results,

downs 1 in 22164
edwards and pataus 1 in 100000

Has just made my day :) Had my screening last Friday with my scan!

jade0881 · 18/06/2021 13:05

@burtle4 I'm so happy for you hun... awwwww the sonographer can see what sex baby is? How far are you now. I probs asked you this so many times... #babybrain lol..
I'm so happy for you hun x

@roomonbroom welcome to the group and congratulations!

Hope you start to feel better soon

jade0881 · 18/06/2021 13:07

@LAR96 aww I'm so happy for you hun. That's great news..
quick question how do they test for downs, Edward and pataus?

When I was pregnant 6+ years ago it was a needle to take some fluid. Is it the same?

OP posts:
LAR96 · 18/06/2021 13:23

Ill be 14 weeks Monday, I asked for the sonographer to guess last Friday which was my 12 week scan but she said she wasnt aloud! I will be 15 weeks and 4 days when I go for my early private gender scan! They said they can do it from 15 weeks but advertise at 16 just incase people come thinking they are 15 weeks when they could be less! x

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 13:24

@jade0881Just a blood test at your 12 week scan and they just measure the fluid on the screen. I think if it comes back high risk then they its a needle to get the fluid out x

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 13:25

@LAR96 glad your results came back good.
@jade0881 I had my screening done for downs etc today and it was by a blood test. They took about 7 tubes of blood from me. Almost fainted!

LAR96 · 18/06/2021 13:27

@Curlymam88
I only had 1 tube for my screening but I had the rest of my bloods taken when I went to see my midwife at 8 weeks

Curlymam88 · 18/06/2021 13:43

Oh my midwife appointment at 8 weeks was over the telephone so that might explain that then Smile
