Hey Smile

So I’m probably one of the First Ladies on here to be due in 2022! My due date is Jan 1st 2022 - New Year’s Day.

I am actually not due on AF until this Thursday coming but have had strong positives for the last 2 days so keeping everything crossed!

Is there any other 2022 mums yet?
@Pinkyp22 yeh massive anxiety . No not my first baby I have a 10 year old and a little boy that’s 1 on Thursday my last pregnancy wasn’t planned but once I’d got my head around it I was excited so we did decided to try again after Mc not thinking we’d get caught so soon after! I did a clear blue test that said 2-3 which they say it 4-5 weeks which would mean I’d conceived about 2 weeks after my miscarriage but can’t be 100% sure. Is this your first baby?
@1986mum no this will be my second baby ( 5th pregnancy , I have pcos amongst other things 🙄) , my son has just turned 9 , so I'm so relieved to hear you have a 10 year old as well !
The baby lost on February wasn't planned either allthough I had just persuaded my partner that I'd love to give it it one last try at having a sibling for my son ( I'm 35 I feel old) . Clearly meant to be for us both !
My oeriod isn't actually due till Wednesday so I'm not even " 4 weeks yet" just taking one day at a time I guess but sometimes anxiety takes over

1986mum · 08/05/2021 10:34

I’m also 35 and feeling it too my last pregnancy was so much more tiring than the one 10 years ago! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for us both. Pregnancy is always rough until the first scan isn’t it and even then anxiety never goes completely! It all worth it in the end if we get our positive results 😊

Missingcoffee22 · 08/05/2021 10:37

@Ralala I'm not in a big rush but I am away (UK holiday) for over a week around the scan.. I'll be almost 14 weeks when I'm back... so thought the earlier I got it started, the better chance I'd have at getting an appointment before then 😬

Lillygolightly · 08/05/2021 11:07

I hope you don’t mind if I very tentatively join in....

I’m 7 weeks with twins, discovered twins just yesterday at a scan to check as had abnormal bleeding following a recent loss. I wasn’t expecting there to be any baby let alone 2!!! I burst into tears I was so shocked.

I am absolutely terrified if I am honest, I lost my son at 18 weeks in February and I can’t help but worry that this will go the same way. I’m 39 and so worry about my age and also knowing that a twin pregnancy comes with further increased risk doesn’t help. I am also already a mum of 3 and twins would take me 5 which is quiet frankly scary.

I also have surprisingly few symptoms given it’s twins, symptoms with my singleton pregnancies have been worse that this is and if I hadn’t seen if for myself on the scan I wouldn’t believe I was pregnant at all let alone with twins.

I’m worried that posting this and joining in is jinxing myself which I know is daft.

ami96 · 08/05/2021 11:14

Hi guys, I'm 6+1 & slightly worried. I've not bee spotting or bleeding but I get the worst cramps every evening for about 2 hours. It's my first pregnancy

HAB94 · 08/05/2021 11:18

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant, bit unsure of my dates but looking like a due date of somewhere between 9th and 12th of January I hope! Im really nervous about this at the moment though and haven’t thought about literally anything else since I found out. Keep running to the toilet to make sure I’m not bleeding! Hope this anxiety eases at some point! (This is my first pregnancy)

HotCupOfNo · 08/05/2021 11:54

@Lillygolightly I just had to come on and tell you that my best friend is currently pregnant with twins - she didn't find out until 9 weeks because she had no symptoms, just thought her period was being weird! Hope that gives you some reassurance xx

mimirouge · 08/05/2021 12:37

Amyannx did you use more diluted urine second time? Maybe test again first thing tomorrow morning. Sometimes that can effect the line. Especially if it's early days.

mimirouge · 08/05/2021 12:37

@1986mum do you mind me asking how your 10 year old took to having a sibling after being an only for so long ? My son will be such a brilliant big brother and it's something he's always wanted , but I just worry 🙈
It will be worth it . I was hoping to get a private scan in a few weeks , going back to the EPU would be so anxiety inducing for me..
@lilygolightly that is so ❤️ I'd love to have twins but can just imagine the worry 😣 my friend had twins , it's very special

1986mum · 08/05/2021 12:48

@Pinkyp22 I think I was worse than my daughter I felt bad that I didn’t have as much time for her when my son came along but she was brilliant really helpful in the beginning... warn off a little bit now 🤣 but she loves him. I really don’t fancy going back to EPU to have another scan either tbh I’m scared of going for a scan at all after last time.

@HAB94 congrats on your first pregnancy. These first 12 weeks are horrendous for all mums to be it think 🤦🏼‍♀️ It does get a little easier after the scan but the anxiety never completely goes I don’t think

Pinkyp22 · 08/05/2021 13:01

@@1986mum the guilt is ridiculous isn't it. He's quite independent really I know he will be ok but just can't help myself from worrying all the time.

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 08/05/2021 13:26

Does anyone have any tips on easing sickness? It's dreadfulEnvy

MerlinK4 · 08/05/2021 13:53

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese I've been using Sea Bands the last few days. My partner is convinced it's a placebo effect, but I don't care as it seems to take the edge off! I've had constant nausea but no vomiting. I think it's one of those things that's different for everyone, not much help I know! I'm mostly running on breadsticks and lucozade personally.

1986mum · 08/05/2021 14:04

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese I’ve heard ginger does well for and a lot of people have said sea bands... am I the only one wanting a cure for nausea when I have it then worrying if I have a few hours Of feeling normal Incase it’s a bad sign 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Lillygolightly · 08/05/2021 14:28

Thank you @HotCupOfNo that’s reassuring, for me it’s just that it’s so different from previous pregnancies. With my youngest two I was sick with each of them until 16/17 weeks.

amyannx · 08/05/2021 15:30

@mimirouge thank you x

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 08/05/2021 15:56

@MerlinK4 oh god your post has just made me crave lucozade sport! I feel so bad eating beige crap and just picking at stuff. Hot meals are turning my stomach right now. Did you get your bands from the chemist? Just looking at Amazon now, might prime some!

@1986mum no you're not the only one, I'm grateful to be pregnant but the sickness stops me in my tracks. I've been asleep all afternoon, I'm 6+1 today and it's hit me like a ton of bricks. Dreading next week at work.

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 08/05/2021 17:55

@Lillygolightly what amazing news following your loss. I can't offer much advice, as this is my first baby but take it day by day. A huge, huge congrats Thanks

MerlinK4 · 08/05/2021 18:30

@DoesTheQueenOrderChinese I got the branded ones off Amazon, you can get pink 'morning sickness' ones but I need to try and fein travel sickness at work so got the normal grey.

Whilst I was there I also ordered some fancy drawstring sick bags. I'm hoping they'll have been a waste of £10 but I feel a bit more confident to go out and about with one in my bag/car/desk.

DoesTheQueenOrderChinese · 08/05/2021 18:39

@MerlinK4 I will have a look thank you. Good idea about the sick bags, I've spent all evening throwing up. I was even sick all over myself! Sad

Mamadaw · 08/05/2021 18:41

I hope people don't mind me asking,

How many of you have been told when your dating scan is?

It seems like lots of people already have there's booked, but I only have a phone call on Tuesday and blood test Wednesday. I don't know if it's different in different areas/counties.
Is anyone else from Suffolk and have there's booked already?
x

Missingcoffee22 · 08/05/2021 18:43

@Mamadaw I self referred a week and a half ago and have no appointments yet.

Last time my booking app and bloods were booked well before i heard about my scan. I can't remember but I may have only had my scan booked after my booking app.

gigchic · 08/05/2021 18:49

The sea sickness bands are a good idea! I think I threw mine out a few years ago which is annoying! I've been asleep in the sofa again this afternoon. I've never napped in my life and I slept for 10 hours last night! This is my first pregnancy and I can't get my head around how fast the symptoms are coming on. My boobs are huge and I've always had tiny boobs! 😂

gigchic · 08/05/2021 18:52

@Lillygolightly excited for your twin journey! Fingers crossed all goes well and a big family will bring you so much joy in all the years to come. I'm 38, first pregnancy and I'm secretly hoping for twins so I can have my family of 4 without having to get pregnant at 40+!
