Sounds RIDICULOUS, but the other day i was begging dd to come to MacDonalds with me(I REALLY wanted those salty fries) and she was lying on the floor saying "mammy i want proper foo"........again!!!

(Just goes to show that reverse psychology DOES work)

fufmum · 01/11/2004 14:58

Same here i haven't had any weird ones but i noticed i can eat chips 24/7 and i used to love crisps but now i would rather have chocolate. Guess this baby has a sweet tooth!

artyjoe · 01/11/2004 15:00

Have only recently got my first true craving...peanut butter and banana toasties. I can go until Lunch without but then i have to have them for lunch or I think I would probably cry my eyes out...very strange but a real craving!

smellymelly · 01/11/2004 15:03

In the 2nd trimester I had to have poached eggs on toast every morning

Now in the 3rd trimester, I love granny smith apples, have to be out the fridge and peeled! Have had this craving with every pregnancy.

jude2105 · 01/11/2004 15:06

When expecting DS i drank gallons of Ginger Beer! For DD, i moved on to Coffee & Walnut cake

smellymelly · 01/11/2004 15:07

Ooooh now I want coffee and walnut cake!

logic · 01/11/2004 15:11

I am desperately craving orange juice, turkish delights and curly wurlies. What a balanced diet!

Last time, I went completely off milkshakes and still can't even look at one 2 years later.

suzywong · 01/11/2004 15:12

mine were Love Hearts, Palma Violets and Giant Fizzers with both pgs (both boys). Just had to have that chalky crunchy fizzy sensation. Also considered eatiing powedered chalk, the type rock climbers and gymnasts use to make their hands stick.

Last time: oranges, melons, potatoes, finn-crisp crackers

This time: hula-hoops, maltesers!

suzywong · 01/11/2004 15:16

bet you're having a boy then myermay

redshoes · 01/11/2004 15:42

I am 32 weeks and cannot stop eating raw mushrooms. I get really panicky if I know there are none in the fridge! I had this with my last 2 pgs too (both girls). Earlier in pregnancy I needed diet coke for the nausea - still drink it,but not as crucial! Also, I need lots of cake and chocolate!

Tessiebear · 01/11/2004 16:01

With my second pregnancy i used to eat 1 coffee cake A DAY in the first trimester (no wonder i put on about 6 stone _

sweetheart · 01/11/2004 16:04

You all have nice cravings!!!! When I was preg with dd mine were ice and vinegar (the sort pickled onions come in)

Dh was not very impressed with the vinegar - esp after I drank a whole jar and then smelt the place out hee hee hee!!!!!!!
I wonder what it'll be this time - dh is praying it's not vinegar again

bronniemuldoon · 01/11/2004 17:14

Cheese, Cheese, Cheese!!! Oh, and anything stodgy - cake, bread, pasta, rice I'll eat them all. Totally gone off veggies (hmmmmm) but can eat salad so trying not to be too bad.

vanessa13 · 01/11/2004 18:11

bunny2 · 01/11/2004 18:16

Snap bronnie! I am eating cheese by the slab and cant stand vegetables. Also craving pasta, toast (by the loaf) and and lots of chocolate.

Myermay, when I was pg with ds I lived on chips and curry sauce! I'm sure it's a boy thing!

aloha · 01/11/2004 19:21

Wine.
SEriously no, no cravings either time.

Nimme · 01/11/2004 19:24

PMSL sweetheart - poor your DH

PG1 - 1 pink grapefruit EVERY day

This time - phase of prawns and eggs on toast..

collision · 01/11/2004 19:34

With ds it was mushy peas and pie.

With this one it has been fizzy drinks...water, coke. Then I went through a stage of tomatoes, tuna and meat.

Now it is tonic water.

Nimme · 01/11/2004 19:36

Collision - I saw someone drinking tonic in Ikea on Friday - was it you? Could only ever drink that stuff if accompanied by a shot of gin

Heathcliffscathy · 01/11/2004 19:36

tomatoes (every day in oil and vinegar) and mangoes....ds loves both!

Donbean · 01/11/2004 19:44

ice cubes, used to sit and eat them out of the tray like chocolates from a chocolate box! If we went any where i used to take a tray with me to eat in the car! couldnt get enough!

Posey · 01/11/2004 20:52

With dd it was Skittles (those fruity hard coated sweets), with ds it was Fruit Gums and crisps.

KatieMac · 01/11/2004 20:55

Mashed potatoes, gravey & Tomatoe Sauce

or

Mcchicken Sandwich (with the lettice picked out...had one w/o lettice and it just wasn't the same)
