[quote Hxoxox]@Wakeupsunshinex Hi! I am around 5 weeks too and due 17th-19th December! ☺️☺️.

I always said I wouldn't want my child to have a Christmas birthday but now I really couldn't care less as I'm so over the moon lol! There are also a lot of cute Christmas baby stuff!

How are you feeling? I don't have any symptoms either but because this is my first I'm quite worried. I had sore boobs last weekend but they are fine now. Also don't feel sick in the slightest. I have read this can be normal but doesn't stop the worry! I have a telephone appt with my midwife first week in May!

Good luck x

Congratulations!

I always said I didn't want our baby to have a December birthday either but here we are!

I'm due on the 14th December I think, same as you - not a lot of symptoms either so I'm just trying to roll with it and not stress out!

Fingers crossed!!

climbershell · 18/04/2021 19:24

I'm counting down the days to 6 weeks, which is now 2 days, as mc rates drop to 5% then. And at 8 weeks with a heart beat drop to less than 2%, so can then relax!

MushroomQueen · 18/04/2021 20:04

@Wakeupsunshinex congrats I'm on dc no. 3 with a 7, almost 5 year old. I have on and off nausea and dizzy when I stand too long or suddenly. I also feel stretching pain if I move my abdomen too quickly. But generally nothing in between these

MushroomQueen · 18/04/2021 20:08

I also not that keen on December, I'm due 21st but I've never got to 38 weeks with either baby b4 and each labour faster than previous. I'll be on high alert from 36 weeks . I expect 1st week of December. My other 2 are March and June. Oh is late November so they'll be close bdays

MissOrganisedMe · 18/04/2021 20:23

@Hxoxox - i would agree with @Wakeupsunshinex and @climbershell that brown blood is generally old blood and second the suggestion to keep an eye on it.

It could be implantation blood working out your system.

Wakeupsunshinex · 18/04/2021 21:15

@Sair44411 Thank you and congratulations to you too! It seems not many people are very keen on December birthdays lol.

@MushroomQueen Congratulations! Nice to see someone else expecting their 3rd. I hope your labour is even quicker and easier this time around then. Both of mine were emergency cesareans, so I'm going straight for an elective cesarean this time!

MushroomQueen · 18/04/2021 21:22

@Wakeupsunshinex indeed. A few of my friends had emergency c/s and all said def elective and sooner. After terrible failed inductions. I felt v bad for them

My last labour (almost 5 years ago) I had intense 'Braxton Hicks' which I know now were actually labour had no pain but woke me up in the night felt like a bowling ball was in my stomach but no pain so went back to sleep. Got up next day dropped 3 yr old at nursery felt fine no hicks. Routine 37 week Appointment at midday examined just to see how all is was 6cm. He was born 4 hrs later 5 min pushing 3 pushes was bizzare

AlltheQs · 18/04/2021 21:52

Congratulations everyone!
I’m very similar, due number around 19th dec - me, my husband and our first little girl are all December birthdays too!
Nausea set in strong today 🤢

climbershell · 19/04/2021 07:44

I guess December isn't an ideal month to have a birthday, not much fun in cold winter (mine is Feb so I try to be abroad somewhere sunny) & close to Xmas, tho I wanted a winter baby because I'm a gardener and it's my quiet time of year, so I'll always have lots of free time to spend with my baby/child and could easily take them away etc then too 🙂

It'll be an expensive time of year but I'm good with money so be fine and I can't wait. Got a list of 25 boy names and 6 girl already lol

Oh I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing - I'm 6 weeks tomorrow so will take comfort in that :)
Nellieee · 19/04/2021 08:04

So very sorry to those of you who are going through such difficult times at the moment. Thinking of you all 💕

Nellieee · 19/04/2021 08:13

I am a little worried today. I've not really had any symptoms. I imagine I have (very slightly) tender breasts and v v mild and occasional nausea. Think I am willing it on more than anything!

I calculate that I am 22dpo. I had one last clearblue digital and FRER to use. Last week I thought I was 4 exactly and was coming up as 1-2 weeks so I wasn't too concerned. A week later 2-3 so adds up. But my FRER seems so faint. No dye stealer ☹️ What do you think? I really don't want to be obsessively testing but it's so hard to not see the progression you expect.

Due December 2021! Thread 2
climbershell · 19/04/2021 09:37

@Nellieee I'm not sure why you'd be worried, lots of positives and 1-2 followed by 2:3 weeks. I'd stop testing tbh if I was you now

Nellieee · 19/04/2021 09:49

Thanks @climbershell. I think I've read far too much on the internet (dye stealers etc) that I expected I'd have a "stronger positive" by now. I feel a bit ridiculous saying it now. I'm going to stop testing and enjoy this time. Thank you 🙂

2021DecemberDueDate · 19/04/2021 10:14

@Nellieee I'm in exactly the same boat - no symptoms and no clear blue changes. But ultimately I think no fresh bleeding means things are progressing. I am also super stressed and after a little breakdown yesterday I've decided no more testing (and maybe no early scans). When I had CBT for my anxiety they said constantly seeking reassurance makes you feel worse in the long run as it only gives you short term relief. Same as obsessively checking the oven to see if it's on if that makes sense! Doesn't really change anything. Easier said than done I know, sending you Flowers

Anyone else struggling with mental health at the mo? I had a proper sob yesterday/almost every day so far - is that my MH or my hormones, who knows!

Hxoxox · 19/04/2021 10:34

@2021DecemberDueDate

I am suffering with bad anxiety too. I have no symptoms still. I had cramping yesterday like period pains and a tiny wee bit discharge with brown bit in it. I keep googling which I know I need to stop and just relax!

Easier said than done! I'm at work and can't concentrate at all!

I'm quite an emotional person anyway so although I cried yesterday watching a video on Facebook I'm not sure if that's hormones or he just being soft lol!

Nellieee · 19/04/2021 10:36

@Hxoxox @2021DecemberDueDate ahh I'm the same. Work has been a real struggle since finding out. I just want to jump to week 8 then week 12 and feel a little more safe.

Have also been super emotional! What a rollercoaster.

Hxoxox · 19/04/2021 11:27

@Nellieee it's a nightmare eh! In between work, Googling and trying to be excited without worrying too much lol x

Nellieee · 19/04/2021 11:41

@Hxoxox ahh I know!!

@2021DecemberDueDate ps I meant to say that your CBT advice sounds really good. I seek reassurance quite a lot which I think exacerbated my feelings. I've done the last of my tests in the house. That's it! 🙃

Is anyone really struggling with constant nausea and feeling like they are coming down with flu? I’ve had nausea from around 5+1 and now it feels like it’s ramping up at 7+2 but no vomiting. I feel like my head is in a bubble and can’t focus on anything.

I’m hoping having some symptoms is a good thing but wow, this is pretty full on!

@sjhs86 I am with you... constant nausea and quite a bit of sneezing.. I had vomiting once but I realized if I eat straight away after waking up this won't happen. I am also trying to eat something every max 2 hrs, it does help a bit. I am 6+3 and honestly cannot think about being this sick for at least 6 more weeks :( I am very happy about this first pregnancy, but I do feel a bit miserable at the moment!!
sjhs86 · 19/04/2021 12:44

@cloud2021 I feel the same. I have an early scan on Friday and I’m hoping that (fingers crossed) everything looks ok and I feel a little less anxious as I’m sure that can’t be helping the nausea either...

Horehound · 19/04/2021 12:55

I agree about eating every so often. I basically graze all day!
I'm loving bacon right now too and haven't had any in months and months but now I've had two bacon sarnies :D
Last time I loved pepperonis pizzas and sausage softies. Omg glorious.

I feel sick in the evenings, laying in bed trying to get to sleep...not very helpful!

@sjhs86 Good luck for the scan on Friday, hope everything is exactly as expected!! I have midwife tel appointment this week and early scan on Sunday :) I booked it as I had quite a bit of cramping on week 5 and I was worried, but now they've gone... hope that will ease at least the anxiety!
