Hi all.
I’ve just got a positive test. I had a miscarriage in July last year and we have been trying since then.
Feeling like I don’t want to get my hopes up at the moment as so early, I would be due sometime between the 25 to the 29th.
Only tested this morning as I kept gagging.

Horehound · 15/04/2021 14:33

@sophierose77 I will keep everything crossed for your scan next week. X

Welcome to all the newbies too!

So today I have had lots of waves of feeling sick, I hate it!

@Horehound felt sick all day long someone has been cooking in house and oh my god sent me spewing ginger biscuits have taken edge off

TheDamnFoolThatShotHim · 15/04/2021 14:47

My nausea is starting to ramp up too.
Yesterday and today I've been feeling really queasy.

Not pleasant but hoping it's a good sign!

sophierose77 · 15/04/2021 14:58

Thanks everyone for your kind messages. I haven't really stopped crying all day v emotional. My fiancé is being amazing and supportive and I'm going to call mum later too. I'm just waiting for my midwife appointment now , so maybe they'll be able to do some more tests to help assess viability.

It's all such a shock but if it's not good news I'm glad I didn't wait until 12 weeks. Just having known three weeks feels like a lifetime.

I've not had any feeling sick or nausea. I bet this is to come though. I'm 5 weeks today. IVF baby x

Horehound · 15/04/2021 15:53

Yesterday my son pooped on the bath and I had to scoop it out with my hands. The whiff caught my nose and oh my goodness I gagged so hard. I'm surprised I wasn't actually sick lol

Brushing my teeth gives me the same gag reaction. Quite surprised I haven't been sick in the sink yet 😂

jdr1234 · 15/04/2021 16:22

@sophierose77 so sorry it wasn’t positive but like others have said maybe the dates are out and you will get better news next week.
It’s why I think early scans are so important and should be given on the nhs as it’s hard enough dealing with pregnancy loss when you have known a day let alone 8/9 weeks and lots could be picked up well before 12 weeks.
I had scan today and all seems well, heartbeat strong and they measured me at 6 +5 which is 2 days less than my dates.
Feel nauseous pretty much all the time which is reassuring but not easy with two kids on Easter holidays!
Sending everyone who is struggling for whatever reasons positive vibes x

Shazza86 · 15/04/2021 16:26

@sophierose77 sending so much love your way ❤

Oh yes when I was pregnant with my son I was sick once in the shower brushing my teeth and gagged so much. Lol

I've had bleeding when I wipe and crampy pains today so they've booked me in for an early scan tomorrow morning. Hoping it's nothing as I did have similar with ds15. Doesn't stop you worrying though! Xx

Horehound · 15/04/2021 16:38

Oh no @Babycakes39. Wishing you luck and positivity xx

Jelly2017 · 15/04/2021 17:51

Hi all & congratulations!
Hope it's ok to join I'm currently 6+1 weeks pregnant and got my positive 3 days before my period was due. Due date is the 8th December.
Was feeling pretty good up until yesterday 6 weeks on the dot and I flew to the toilet to be sick 🤢
Today I havent actually vomited but I've felt dreadful all I can describe this as is a really bad hangover but I dont think I'm going to be tempted by a dirty takeaway at the end of the day 😂 unfortunately!

MissOrganisedMe · 15/04/2021 18:31

@sophierose77 & @Babycakes39 thinking of you both x

flowersatthecastle · 15/04/2021 18:56

@sophierose77 I had a similar thing with my first pregnancy so know how you're feeling. The week wait in between scans felt like a lifetime and there isn't much you can do to take your mind off it... but try. I don't want to give you false hope, but equally please know there is still hope there. We went back a week later and there was a healthy heartbeat and the midwife doing the scan couldn't make sense of why it wouldn't have been found at the scan a week before as my dates were only one day out according to the measurements she took. I think I was six weeks on the first scan Thanks

MushroomQueen · 15/04/2021 19:36

@sophierose77 I'm really sorry about the news but wait and see you never know.

@sunshineandhope it's my 3rd but I was last at this stage almost 6 years ago. (Youngest 5 in June ) só I've forgotten a lot but I wasn't like this dizzy or random nausea at this early 4.2.

@lettyloulou wow you must be over the moon! Congratulations! I'm just behind you due 21st dec. however both my boys were born 37+ 5 then + 4. Very fast labours (didn't even know I was in labore with my 2nd.

Both times in labour I went in and was 6cm. The 2nd time I literally went in for my 37 week check up. Was examined and told I need to go to delivery was insane. Had a baby 4 hours later.

@Nellieee the wait is the hardest. The first scan tho is so amazing (I just had a 12 week one not early) it is so surreal.

@Em39ma it's hard I have had 2 chemical pregnancies since November and I'm still terrified

tuesday2am · 15/04/2021 20:24

@sophierose77 So sorry, sending lots of love and hoping it’s just a case of your dates being a bit out. 💕

@Babycakes39 Best of luck for your scan tomorrow, sending lots of positivity your way x

Sparklestars86 · 15/04/2021 20:31

Hi all, can I please join? I think I'm about 5weeks. First pregnancy. 35. Quite cautious as know it's still early days and am a bit of a worrier.
I think I'll stay away from a private scan as not sure it would make me feel any less anxious longer term- after a couple of days the worry would creep back in. So lovely seeing the scan pictures of others though- delighted for you all!
I think I read further up that someone said they're just focussing on appreciating the experience every day for as long as it lasts- I think this is the best way for me. One day at a time and hopefully will feel more confident as the weeks and months pass! Xx

2021DecemberDueDate · 15/04/2021 20:44

Tentatively joining...sorry I don't know the lingo! But last period was 28 Feb and several positive tests over the past few days - although most recently a Clear Blue which said I was 2-3 weeks confused So not sure how far along I am and no symptoms at all yet which is making it all feel unreal. Anyone else? I don't want to feel rough, but then at least I'd know something is happening!

It was planned and I am excited but I've also been feeling pretty overwhelmed. We just moved to a house that needs lots of work and we don't really know anyone, we've got a dog really recently too. Feeling nervous about missing out on the vaccine too. If you can't guess, I'm definitely a worrier too @Sparklestars86!

Emmgrem · 15/04/2021 20:45

Hi ladies, just marking my place to join you all. I'm 30 and this will be mine & my husbands first baby - was ttc for 6 months after coming off BC and had a chemical really early back in January. This all feels very surreal.

Got my 2-3 weeks on the digital CB today so have booked a scan for three weeks time when I'll be just over 7 weeks. Also self referred for maternity services- and they said I'll get a call around 9 weeks. So strange they don't do blood tests to confirm things anymore!

Sending you all lots of love and praying for happy, healthy pregnancies for us all 💗

I also have a puppy but looking at it as he will be one by the time the baby would arrive so hopefully he will be a good boy! My other dog loves baby's so hoping he will learn from him. X
