Baby movements - shaking in womb?

Hi all

Silly question (I have text my midwife waiting for her to get back) but I've noticed the last week or so that baby is having shaking episodes once or twice a day.

They are definitely not hiccups, kicks or rolls it's a full on shaking episode which makes my whole belly shake for 3-5 seconds. It's like a seizure is the only way I can accurately describe it.

Never experienced this with my first, anyone experienced this or know if it's normal or not?? Almost 38 weeks with second baby x

Just wanted to come on and say that I had the quick shakey movements too with my first pregnancy. Turns out I had gestational diabetes (but unfortunately it went undiagnosed and she was born HUGE!) but all was ok and she’s a healthy 5 year old now. Have you been tested for diabetes?

Findingthisdifficult1234 · 26/03/2021 08:08

Sorry just seen your update!
Huge congratulations to you! Glad all was ok x

Assuming you are not in the UK, if you are there's some dodgy care going on! Anyway, glad all is well and enjoy your baby!
