@AdriannaP
@ComebackQueen

I think it's just us at the moment (sorry if I forgot anyone) but hoping that more and more of us will be joining soon!
I figured it would be nice to stay in touch here too, throughout the exciting yet nerve-wracking next stages! 💞

How are you getting on? 🙂

@Carol1980 I’m sorry to hear about the levels but silly question, you said the HCG levels are dropping, have you got this confirmed by a doctor or hospital?
I am pretty sure after I did my first response test, when I tried to do a digital test and it came back as 1-2 weeks when I was definitely expecting to see the 3 weeks +.

I waited a few days and it retested and it then rose.

Also the line being fainter, did you use first mornings urine?
Did you drink a lot of water prior to the test?

If you’re still feeling the pregnancy symptoms and you’re not bleeding then you’re not out of it yet.

Sometimes, these levels drop, but then rise again and the pregnancy continues normally. It’s not the norm but it has happened.

Keep positive and, I’ll pray all goes well and this is a sticky and we will be hearing about your 12 week scan!

ComebackQueen · 29/07/2021 15:12

Also don’t worry about husband being disappointed you concentrate on being positive and staying calm.

It’ll all work out in the end.

Carol1980 · 29/07/2021 17:14

@ComebackQueen I'm still hoping that it's the case that my levels are just dropping but given that I got a 2-3 weeks last Friday and barely getting a 1-2 weeks yesterday I'm pretty sure it's going down but haven't had my levels checked at the doctors.
The overwhelming consensus that I've read ( abs on experiences from EPU previously with my MC back in 2016) because I'm not even 6 weeks yet they wouldn't entertain me asking for a scan or blood test.
My plan is that if I've not cramped or bled by this time next week then I'll bite the bullet and cough up the money to pay for a private scan ( £60 at the moment) the cost isn't an issue, but I just begrudge paying for a scan to be told that it's a MC. Nothing has felt right with this pregnancy, my boobs are still sore at the sides, yesterday was the strongest day I've had for the soreness.
I've tried the pee hold and it's a line but not a strong one and I've tried with heavily diluted and it's an even fainter line so I'm at a loss at the moment.

I will totally eat my words if it turns out that I'm just having a dip in hcg, but from all the research I've done it just always seems to end in MC for what I've read.

I love how optimistic you ladies are though x thank you for the kinds words of encouragement ❤️❤️ I'll keep you updated though x nothing worse than someone putting all this on a post and not following up with a result 🙄

ejefferinton · 29/07/2021 21:27

@Makingnumber2 yes I'm a teacher, thanks for the tip will definitely look into it nearer the time!
I tried running for the first time today, had to walk most of it and then had a 45 minute nap! Definitely don't think I'm going to be one of those women who stays super fit all through pregnancy! Also got a bit freaked out today as I ate a steak which was quite rare (I asked for medium) and then realised afterwards I should only eat meat that's well done! Also feel like I'm seeing pregnant women everywhere and can't wait until the stage when I look a bit more pregnant and feel less nauseous and exhausted!
@Carol1980 I'm so sorry that you're finding this so difficult. I've never taken any of those tests - sounds like they can be encouraging and upsetting in equal measure! How far along are you now? Really hoping everything is OK, sounds really stressful and like a complete rollercoaster. Lots of love xxx

Makingnumber2 · 30/07/2021 07:40

@Carol1980 so sorry to hear you’re still feeling in limbo- it is agonising waiting for confirmation of whether or not a pregnancy is viable. Your husband will not feel like you’ve let him down- all of this is so out of your control, which is what makes
It all the harder. I will be keeping everything crossed still that your levels start rising strongly and this bean sticks. You deserve this to work out after everything you’ve been through xxx

Carol1980 · 30/07/2021 13:01

Hi ladies x

Well boobs no longer sore, pretty much negative on IC test and having just gone to the loo I've noticed discharge tinged with pink so looks like I'm finally out of limbo.
I got a bit down earlier today thinking about it all but I think because it's been a few days of getting used to the fact that the pregnancy was failing has softened the devastation of having a MC x

Honestly I'm so so so grateful for all your encouragement and kind words x I feel like most of my posts seem to be 'woo hoo I'm pregnant, oh wait sorry tested too early and turns out I'm no longer pregnant' !
This ttc is a totally vicious fanny!

I'll be back !! I'm totally not giving up !!

ejefferinton · 30/07/2021 13:52

@Carol1980 I'm so sorry to hear that you think it's all over. Lots of love xxx

eloiseislost · 30/07/2021 16:34

@Carol1980 I'm so sorry to hear this, sending you lots of love! ❤️
It probably means nothing to you right now, but I had an early MC right before this pregnancy. So, as you said, don't give up, because you will be back! 🌈😘

@eloiseislost I said the same to my hubby. Before we had our daughter we had just started trying like the september 2016. We got pregnant but MC at the same point I am just now ( might have been 7 weeks but it was so long ago now) and we had one cycle where we didn't get pregnant and then we found out the next cycle we had managed to get pregnant again with our daughter. I'm hoping that this time round it's just next cycle x
❤️ I'm doing ok x hubby is sad and dissapointed obviously as am I but he just hugged me lots and said we would try again x

Makingnumber2 · 30/07/2021 18:27

I’m really sorry you’ve started bleeding @Carol1980- sending you massive hugs. I know your 🌈 is just around the corner though and can’t wait to see you back here in the next few months xxx

Carol1980 · 31/07/2021 10:05

Morning ladies,

Hope you are all well x

Full flow today so it is as I expected.

Thankfully my husband has been amazing as always.

Trying to keep myself busy but today I'm going on a play date with a friend so we can meet her new baby....this is going to be a hard one !!

ejefferinton · 31/07/2021 10:13

@Carol1980 I'm so so sorry 😞
What a difficult situation to have to spend time with your new friend and her baby too. Are you able to tell her what's happened or not? Glad your husband has been so supportive xx loads of love xxx

Carol1980 · 31/07/2021 10:21

@ejefferinton
My other friend who is going to be there is literally the only other person who knows what is happening. I don't want to put a dampener on the afternoon, as the friend who's baby we're going to see had a MC just before she got pregnant with her new baby. I don't want to open up old wounds.
To be honest I don't know if I could deal with the whole pity looks as well, I feel ok but only when I can keep it as private as possible. If someone was to ask me I wouldn't lie but I don't want to bring it up in case it ruins the afternoon. Does that make sense ?

ComebackQueen · 31/07/2021 10:36

@Carol1980 I’m genuinely so sorry to hear of your loss, it’s lovely that your husband is a great support, you’re handling this so well. I can only imagine how hard today will be for you with meeting the new baby but, I know you’ll be back on this thread very soon and your rainbow baby will be here very soon.

Sending you lots of virtual hugs, positivity and healing vibes. Xx

ejefferinton · 31/07/2021 10:54

@Carol1980 yes that makes complete sense. Sometimes it's much easier to deal with things when you can try and pretend that everything is OK!

Carol1980 · 31/07/2021 10:59

@ComebackQueen I think I'm just switched off a bit to be honest. I've had a few losses now, all early on, and I think part of me just doesn't let myself get too excited.

At work I'm used to compartmentalising things so that I just get on with my job, if I thought about half the stuff I've had to deal with at work I'd be a total mess, so I think I'm doing the same here 🤦🏼‍♀️ I think it's just the way I deal with things, I have little moments where I think about it and feel sad, then I remember my daughter x

ejefferinton · 01/08/2021 16:11

Hope you're doing OK @Carol1980 and it went OK yesterday.

ComebackQueen · 02/08/2021 14:27

Ladies did anyone feel awful after the covid jab?
I’ve got a temp and completely lost taste and really congested.
No sore throat or cough so thinking it’s probably pregnancy sinus issue rather than side effects?

The husband is also floored with high temp and the shivers but no other symptoms.

I’m approaching third trimester so I’m panicking as recent news articles are really making me scared!

Carol1980 · 02/08/2021 15:46

@ComebackQueen
I got the AstraZeneca jab ( had nothing now) I was feeling exhausted after my first one, sore arm and all my joints were sore but it was gone within 48 hours after the jab. With my second I was tired but not as exhausted as the first time round.

My hubby felt like death warmed up after his first too, he was exhausted but apart from that we were fine after a day or so.

Which one did you get ? If your not feeling better after a few days, contact them MW and see what she says x
Try not to worry though x

@ejefferinton it went ok, new baby is gorgeous but she was sleeping so thankfully didn't get a cuddle but to be honest with covid I would have declined a cuddle anyway x

I'm feeling ok, my AF was not as heavy as I though and it's already starting to calm down ( day 3 ) so I'm a bit worried that my lining isn't as thick as it should be as I'm not bleeding as much 🤦🏼‍♀️

ejefferinton · 02/08/2021 16:44

@ComebackQueen I had Oxford and just had really sore arm and was quite exhausted both times. Gone within 48 hours. My husband felt quite poorly the next day with Pfizer and had to have a nap! But fine by the following day.
@Carol1980 glad it went OK, that's one less thing to worry about now! Don't know anything about the lining, my only advice would be to try not to worry, which I'm sure is easier said than done!

ComebackQueen · 02/08/2021 23:50

I was given the Pfizer, weirdly two paracetamols and a nap and I feel OK, only now congested, no temp, nothing!
Arms sore though but I expected that!

The husband is complaining of a headache and body aches since he woke up and, he has taken a lot more paracetamol than I have.

I doubt either of us will get much sleep during the night as we woke up not long ago!

I wish I took the jab in first trimester now and, wished husband didn’t delay his because I initially wasn’t going to take it.

Makingnumber2 · 03/08/2021 07:36

Glad seeing friend’s LO went ok @Carol1980 have been thinking of you the last few days. Hope you’re doing ok today.

Sorry to hear some of you have felt rough/are feeling rough post vaccines. I have my second Pfizer at end of month and felt fine after first jab, aside from very sore arm which started a few hours post jab. I took- on advice of my non medical friend- 2 paracetamol 45 mins before the jab. Will do same for second one. My friend who is also pregnant and just hit third tri had her second jab in second tri - also Pfizer - and felt really really rough with it, she had to take a day off work which is v unlike her. She had a low grade fever in the night and just felt bleurgh. It should be noted that she had confirmed covid in Jan though and
I read somewhere that those who already have some level of natural immunity may feel a lot rougher post jabs.
My DH felt absolutely fine bar sore arm after both his Pfizers.
I really hope I don’t feel too bad after mine! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Carol1980 · 03/08/2021 08:36

@Makingnumber2 5thats really kind of you xx
I'm doing ok, I've been keeping myself very very busy with diy in the house and trying to get as much done while I'm off on leave x
AF seems to be slowing down, but been super heavy but heavier than my usual x

ComebackQueen · 04/08/2021 14:25

Hi ladies

I’m completely back to normal after my hav, the husband still has a slight temp but I think it was over body getting used to whatever is needed to give us immunity.

In the meantime my employer signed me off for suspected covid so I have the week to rest up.

Just to let anyone know Sainsbury’s in store and online have baby clothes from £1.50 upwards so I’ve been online and caved abs ordered about £100 worth of clothes in various sizes and various seasons LOL!

Just thought if anyone else wants to stockpile they have some lovely items on sale and, considering boys clothing is usually boring it was nice being able to see tropical prints available.

ComebackQueen · 04/08/2021 14:26

Sorry for all the typos my phone is on it’s last legs and I am refusing to change it as I’m on a sim only deal so don’t want to waste money before the little financial burden aka baby arrives LOL.
