Gestational sac?

Hi I went for an early scan a couple days ago and they did an internal scan on me. I was shown a gestational sac and was told they could see the yolk sac too. I went in thinking I was around 6.5 weeks pregnant but I was told looking at the scan it looked more like 5 week. We looked at my period and cycle info that I have on my FLO app and the nurse said that you've possibly ovulated late.
I have another scan in 2 weeks to see if there's progression.
Has anyone else been in this situation?

I had a scan 2 weeks ago where I was 5+4 judging by LMP as I don’t know when I ovulated as wasn’t tracking. All they could see was the sac which was 3mm. Went back last Friday and sac was still empty but close to 7mm. Went back today and sac was 9mm and had a yolk sac, I count myself as 7+4 now, again judging by LMP.

I was then told to come back in 2 weeks as the consultant went over my HCG bloods and previous scans and he wanted to give me a chance of more progression. So they said to me they could of just scanned really early, or I have a slower grower and dates are off or if none of the milestones are being met in 2 weeks time a miscarriage will be diagnosed.

@mollysxx it's such a long wait (understandably). Fingers crossed for you and your little one. I've heard stories of people who are told they measure so and so earlier than expected but then by 12 weeks theyre like 13 plus weeks. As they're soooooo small this early it's not as accurate. Let me know how you get on xx

It can go either way really I had a empty sac and missing fetus I miscarried

I then went on to fall pregnant within weeks and at 6 weeks fetus heartbeat seen

Yes I did. Had 3 scans, 1st showed what was assumed to be a small sac. A week later a sca with a yolk sac. 2 weeks later a baby with a heartbeat. I was just earlier than I had assumed x

I had two early scans for dating (I had the implant removed and had not got a period so could not date the pregnacy) first scan approx 5.5 weeks sac and yolk. Seconf 6.5 weeks baby appeared! X

@Ashkayyyy yeah, me too! Still waiting, but it's a week today so I am just hoping for answers. This whole week has been torture. But I'm not bleeding or anything, so taking it as a positive x

Hi ladies in the same position, it’s so confusing I’ve had two scans so far, first when I thought I was 6+5 second at 7+5. First saw empty gestation sac measuring 7mm, second gestation sac measuring 11mm with tiny yolk sac have to back next week.
But by the measurements I was 4+5 and 5+5 which would be right if going from my ovulation dates. I’ve been so worried and basically cried for the last week it’s so stressful. I’m preparing myself for the worse but secretly praying for the best.

@Cellwen oh my, we really are sailing in the same boat😂 so at my scan which I was 7+4 counting from LMP, I had a 9mm sac and what they told me was a yolk sac. I'm back next week where I'll hopefully have answers. So sorry you're going through this as well, it's honestly torture x

@MollySxx let’s keep our fingers crossed for some good news. If this doesn’t work for me it will be my 5th miscarriage 3rd in a row don’t think I can go through it all again

@Cellwen my 5th loss also🥺 had a stillbirth with my twin girls in 2015 as they had many reasons for being poorly being identical twins. I then had a miscarriage at 9 weeks in April last year, then a chemical in October and another miscarriage in December. And now here I am. I totally agree with you, I don't know how many times I can pick myself up and so this again. Sending so much love to you x

@MollySxx & @Ashkayyyy me to. Are either of you having any symptoms? I’m only having slight boob ache but I’m also on progesterone so could just be that. I know lack of symptoms doesn’t mean a lot bu I still makes you worry

@cellwen my boobs are soooo sore and veiny. I have nausea but I've only been sick once. (I'm not a sickly person) I have alot of heartburn and I'm absolutely fatigued. I could cry when I come home from work 😭

@Ashkayyyy take that as a positive sign. I wish I had all the symptoms at least that way I’d know there’s still something going on xx

@Cellwen I had some signs at the very start when i found out and it was my boobs being really sore. Slight waves of sicky feeling, but nothing to make me throw up. Then I feel like it all went away and I've had nothing since. But I do have sore boobs from time to time but I'm also on progesterone. And also on baby aspirin and 5mg folic acid

@MollySxx I’ve been exactly the same, it’s horrible isn’t it any kind of reassurance would be lovely just to put our minds at ease a little xxx

@Cellwen I would give anything to be cuddling a toilet bowl while throwing my guts up😂 but I have to keep telling myself that signs don't define a pregnancy. We could just be lucky x

@MollySxx not very optimistic to be honest, any bloating I did have has gone. Just waiting for them to tell me Thursday it’s another missed miscarriage 😔 by my date I’d either be 8+5 or 6+5 by scan day depending on that two week difference I always seem to get wrong.
How are you feeling?

@Cellwen I'm sorry you're feeling like this🥺 I'm very much the same. I have days I'm positive, other days I'm not so positive. Only thing keeping me going is the fact I'm not bleeding of having any pain. So I keep finding positives in that. But I'm exactly 9 weeks today counting from LMP, so I really don't know which way it'll go💔 my scan is on Friday, I'll be thinking of you on Thursday x
