Did you vomit by 9 weeks?

Just that really. I'm 9+2 and have had nausea since about 4 weeks, I'm terrified of actual vomiting though. Does it normally happen before 9 weeks? Thank you x

Lots of people have nausea and never vomit- i never did with any of my pregnancies. I dont think you can rule it out completely but the fact you have not vomited by now is probably a sign you wont.

Did you have quite bad nausea? I can cope with nausea if I have to I'm just so scared of vomiting! x

I didn’t x

BaggoMcoys · 04/03/2021 10:50

I had nausea in early pregnancy, but no vomiting. The only time I actually vomitted was in labour when they made me drink milk.

Borogroves · 04/03/2021 10:51

Very nauseous but never actually vomited in all my pregnancies.

Did you feel sick? Did you not vomit at all? x

I had nausea from about 8 weeks to 16 weeks but only actually vomited a couple of times... usually prompted by brushing my teeth.

When did the nausea ease off for you? x

Ahh so it was caused by more of a gag reflex than from feeling sick? x

3 children only vomited once, all 3 boys. Never felt sick either so I was very lucky.

dementedpixie · 04/03/2021 10:54

I only ever felt nauseous and toothbrushing would trigger my gag reflex. I wasn't sick otherwise

LittleTiger007 · 04/03/2021 10:58

Two pregnancies (one ended mc at 10 weeks) currently at 29 weeks and only vomited once in first pregnancy. Both times felt very very sick for about 12 weeks (even after miscarriage).

katiemumma20 · 04/03/2021 10:58

@backtobedagain I was a little nauseous but not much! It went by 12/13 weeks and it was mostly when I was hungry. But I think I have a strong constitution as I’ve barely been sick in my whole life! Xx

JemimaTiggywinkle · 04/03/2021 10:59

“Ahh so it was caused by more of a gag reflex than from feeling sick?”

kind of... my gag reflex was super sensitive because I felt so nauseous all the time.
I would gag a bit every time I brushed my teeth, but would only actually vomit if it was quite soon after eating.

LittleTiger007 · 04/03/2021 11:00

My sister has had three pregnancies, felt sick for 12 weeks in each never vomited in first trimester. During each birth she had projectile vomiting! I’m hoping I don’t get that! 🥴😖

I agree I felt sick when hungry. I had to keep lots of snacks handy. I used pregnancy mints that I got on Amazon ... pockets full when out in walks. Even in the night I would have a bit of flapjack or a cheesy biscuit when I felt the nausea coming on.
Now in the third trimester I have hideous reflux... sick in the back of mouth after every meal. Swigging gaviscon. Good luck op. Pregnancy is a joy! 😂

Sansa87 · 04/03/2021 11:05

I had quite bad nausea from 7 weeks to 15 weeks, I think I was sick in week 13, & week 15. The last one was in the car on the way to work. Other than those two times, not vomiting.

RealisticSketch · 04/03/2021 11:06

No vomiting here, nausea until 12 weeks though. usually helped by ginger tea / banana / biscuit / bowl of weetabix.

Did it just go away after 12 weeks? x

Yes nausea and lots of vomiting, the vomiting was a great relief as it stopped the nausea for a while.

Edelweiss2020 · 04/03/2021 11:21

I was only actually sick once, at 14 weeks. Felt mild nausea on and off from about week 8/9 but it was the overwhelming exhaustion that got me really bad in the first trimester. That tapered off about 15/16 weeks and now at 26 weeks I still get tired but nowhere like it was!

onetwothreeadventure · 04/03/2021 11:21

No vomiting at all in any of my pregnancies. I did feel sick if I was hungry or ate to much so snacks little and often worked for me
