SO Disappointed with my 12 week scan pics

I went for my 12 week scan yesterday and I saw an agency sonographer who was one of the coldest people I have ever met in my life. We aren't allowed partners in with us at our local hospital and this is my first baby so I was a little anxious anyway but to make things worse my scan pics are AWFUL! I asked if he could do any clearer ones and he just said no and that was that! They are so blurry and one of them looks like an old guy with a mullet!

I suppose theres absolutely nothing I can do about it either apart from pay for a private scan. I am so disappointed.

And stop moaning, you've got a baby with a heartbeat for a start

@HopingForOurRainbowBaby

At least you actually got your scan photos! our Baby was dead so they wouldn't give me mine

This, my triplets were found dead too. I had to put it in writing I wanted a copy of a scan photo they had on file

You have a healthy baby inside of you. That’s all that matters.

So many of us never got that.

I paid a tonne for 3D scans when they had just come out. I was carrying twins. One looked like something Sigourney Weaver was about to birth, and the other had it’s face smooshed up against the placenta wall. (We still call her Blowfish... She’ll be 15 this year...) I know it seems really important now. You won’t look at it ever again after this year.

The ones I have of ds at 12 weeks he looked like darth vader. Due to problems that occur in my final trimester I am scanned several times. I have one lovely shot of ds clasping his hands where I could see all of his fingers and that he had an upturned nose. I would count his fingers. Nhs scans are to check for issues, once your baby is in your arms all thoughts of scan pics will vanish from your memory. It is most likely just hormones making you feel this way, yabu but that is OK. It isn't very nice to see posters getting at op because she is a bit upset with her photos when other's babies have died. Pregnancy hormones can make anyone unreasonable, or behave a bit silly.

I’m so sorry for those of you with losses. Had a weep reading some of these replies Flowers
