Did you vomit by 7 weeks?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I'm so scared of vomiting that I've even been considering abortion as the worry is just affecting my mental health really badly.
Those of you who did physically vomit - did it happen before 7 weeks? I've had a lot of nausea and aversions to smells.

Yeah mine came on around 4/5 weeks so fingers crossed you’ve avoided it x

Sceptre86 · 15/02/2021 18:41

With my current pregnancy, I am 10+5 and have not been sick at all. With my previous two I had minimal sickness but had been sick by 5 weeks. You might just be like me x

Cocopogo · 15/02/2021 18:42

I wasn’t sick at all

onthinice · 15/02/2021 18:42

I have had two babies and have been pregnant three times and have never vomited as a symptom of being pregnant.

fairydustandpixies · 15/02/2021 18:43

Three pregnancies, two children. Never vomited once.

Chocoqueen · 15/02/2021 18:44

I'm 12+3 and also wasn't sick, I have felt nauseous especially if I haven't eaten for an hour or so but not been sick 🙂

Crocky · 15/02/2021 18:45

Two children and never vomited.

thenightsky · 15/02/2021 18:47

I think if you've got to 7 weeks, you probably going to be ok. I was sick from about 2 weeks up to 12 weeks, when it stopped as abruptly as it started.

Nightmanagerfan · 15/02/2021 18:48

I’m 8 weeks (third pregnancy) and haven’t vomited yet. By this stage with the previous two I’d been sick a lot. So I’d say it’s a very good sign you’ve avoided it up to now.

You might like to tell your midwife you’re emetiphobic and see if they can help you.

Aquamarine1029 · 15/02/2021 18:49

Two pregnancies, never sick at all.

CeefBurry · 15/02/2021 18:50

I have severe emetophobia

I have two children

Wasn't sick with either pregnancies

Felt rough as fuck and was close to it but thankfully wasn't.

Good luck you will be fine 💕

SexyGiraffe · 15/02/2021 18:53

I didn't vomit at all. Heartburn and mild nausea. (Had horrendous back pain, but that's another story)

Clash · 15/02/2021 18:54

Three pregnancies and terrible sickness with 1 and 3, which started before 7 weeks in both cases.

RandomMess · 15/02/2021 18:56

4 DC plenty of feeling queasy throughout the day but never vomited.

MoonlightMedicine · 15/02/2021 19:01

3 pregnancies and no vomiting with any of them. Lots of my friends were the same.

Do you find the emetophobia makes it worse? It's always on my mind, I'm too scared to go to bed in case I wake up with morning sickness and I've been too scared to eat much in case I am sick x

I wasn't actually sick. I felt sick for weeks but I didn't actually throw up.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 15/02/2021 19:15

Felt very queasy from 7 to 12 weeks but was never actually sick.

MrsB2019x · 15/02/2021 19:22

Nope, mine started at 12 weeks! I’m 14 weeks now and had 2 days of vomiting since.

I’m an emetaphobe too, I’ve found that being sick in pregnancy is quite different? I have found it easier to deal with, it’s less intense than when you are feeling unwell and it seems to pass quicker.

Seeing your post a bit further up, please make sure you eat! My nausea gets worse when I let myself get too hungry. Eat little and often, it will do you so much better

ladycarlotta · 15/02/2021 19:25

I felt very very nauseous weeks 6-16, like travel sick? Really struggled to eat and constantly sipped iced water. But I never actually threw up.

Chica1990 · 15/02/2021 19:29

I have a phobia of being sick, literally cannot face it. The feeling kicked in at 6+3 and had to fight the feeling off for hours in the morning and evening.

I asked the docs for stuff in the end, was quite upfront I hadn’t been sick but felt awful (I couldn’t do any work until 2pm) and they gave me stuff to help.

I feel like I turned a corner a week ago (8+3) and thankfully wasn’t sick.

I do recognise the sick feeling as the hunger sick feeling I rarely used to get when I for some reason hadn’t eaten when I should have. The only thing that would help me feel better is eating whatever I could face, a lot of coke, cereal, ham sandwiches, etc.

Good luck, you can get through this!

Rosieposy89 · 15/02/2021 19:33

I'm 9 weeks and have only vomited twice - both after 8 weeks. I've had lots of dry retching. Speak to midwife x

FelicityPike · 15/02/2021 19:35

I was never sick.

Norah8 · 15/02/2021 19:36

Emmetophobe here.. 3 kids.. Nausea with all 3 to varying degrees but pretty debilitating from 6 to 14 ish weeks. No vomiting. I am sure I managed to not vomit because I have emmetophobia

TwirpingBird · 15/02/2021 19:36

Oh ye I was pretty vomity by 7 weeks on both DDs. I know quite a few people who never vomited while pregnant.
