Mother’s intuition on gender - were you right?

I’m curious how many people had a dead set idea on what gender their baby was and were actually right?

Just a bit of fun really!

Not right at all, also the online predictors were also wrong, as was everyone around us who took a guess!

AnxiousAnnie86 · 13/01/2021 10:50

@PBaby227 I'm absolutely sure I'm having a boy! We find out tomorrow! X

1990shopefulftm · 13/01/2021 10:50

I was certain it was a boy and I was right

ArtfulScreamer · 13/01/2021 10:54

With DD absolutely convinced a boy and nearly fell off the operating table when shown girl bits, currently 16 weeks and think boy as pregnancy different but after my last experience it could go either way.

52andblue · 13/01/2021 10:55

Yes. Both times.

Jellington · 13/01/2021 10:56

Nope! Wrong both times. We have two boys and both times I was convinced they were girls. No idea why!

henni85 · 13/01/2021 10:58

Yes, currently pregnant and always thought of this one as a boy. All old wives tales, Ramzi theory and other people suggested girl. It didn’t sit right with me at all. 20 week scan - suggests it’s a boy so mummy is right!

Opticabbage · 13/01/2021 10:58

I was convinced my son was a girl. Made them check twice too as the sonographer didn't seem very confident Grin

ShowOfHands · 13/01/2021 10:59

I knew with my first. Dreamt she was a girl, referred to her as she throughout.

No idea with my second.

They have found in tests that mother's intuition is more accurate than chance would allow.

Luckyelephant1 · 13/01/2021 10:59

I was totally wrong! Still can't believe I'm having a girl, not sure why I was so sure I was having a boy. I'm usually right when I predict what my friends are having!

Mummy2O · 13/01/2021 11:01

I was absolutely convinced I was having a girl in my first pregnancy. I would have put money on it. I would have lost that money.

Mimiwish · 13/01/2021 11:04

Yes, I knew and was right. I told my partner there was no point in researching boys' names as I knew it would be a girl. There was only one point when I doubted it, which was when I had a dream it was a boy. But I was about 80% sure it was a girl, and when we got our genetic results from the Harmony test, I was right!

EsmeeMerlin · 13/01/2021 11:06

Yep I had a strong sense both times they would be boys and sure enough.

anotherboyontheway · 13/01/2021 11:07

With my first I was convinced boy from about 6 weeks and was right! Currently expecting another boy but was convinced this one was a girl from about 8 weeks and so was everyone else..oh so wrong!xx

Chanel05 · 13/01/2021 11:08

I was absolutely convinced from the word go I was having a girl and I did. I had a mmc in my first pregnancy and felt very strongly that it was a bit, though I'll never know.

blindmansbluff · 13/01/2021 11:09

I was right two out of three times

EcoCustard · 13/01/2021 11:13

Wrong on all four occasions. Waited until the birth for all four too, if I thought girl it was a boy and when I though boy it was a girl. I have 2 boys and 2 girls.

IndieRo · 13/01/2021 11:16

I was right on my DD and DS who were my second and third. I wasn't certain either way on my first, she was a girl. Had more of an inkling she was a girl rather than boy though.

MrsFluffyMuff · 13/01/2021 11:17

I have four children, and I guessed wrong each time!

barbrahunter · 13/01/2021 11:17

I was right all 4 times

TeaTimeReader · 13/01/2021 11:20

Right first time, wrong second! Guess it is 50/50 🤣

moonlight1705 · 13/01/2021 11:23

Nope, was utterly convinced I was having a boy and was shocked when they brought me a baby girl around from the c-section.

JurassicShay · 13/01/2021 11:24

Yes with all 4 of mine. Can't say how or why but I just knew from very early on.

Reeva1988 · 13/01/2021 11:25

Convinced it was a boy and just had it confirmed on gender scan Smile

Remaker · 13/01/2021 11:31

I was right both times. Girl then boy. DH was wrong both times.
