Hi everyone Smile

The baby aldi event is coming, unfortunately you can't see what is being sold yet, but would love to know your best buys from previous events so I can keep an eye out?

I need a moses basket so hoping to get one of these in the event, also lots more muslins and a changing mat.

Also what does everyone think of the aldi wipes and nappies?

Thanks Grin

I think this is the upcoming event unsure if they will have any more than what’s listed. A Moses basket is pictured but no price or mention in the list.

I haven’t tried them yet but I know quite a few of my friends and family like the nappies from there so I’ll definitely be trying them.

HungryHippo20 · 05/01/2021 17:57

Following with interest!! When does it start?

I've heard great things about their nappies so I've bought some ☺️

Algebraicyourleg · 05/01/2021 17:59

We have used the nappies and wipes with my twins and they’ve been brilliant. Only issue we found was that they don’t do a size 0 and my girls were premature so needed size 0 but I highly recommend the nappies and wipes.

Packlunchhell · 05/01/2021 18:01

I think the nappies are great and would recommend, however the wipes have a strange smell which pups me off buying them.

Love their baby towel settings. Awaiting to see if they do them this time for baby number 2

3rdtimelucky2019 · 05/01/2021 18:11

Seta. Not settings, obvs.

Needingsupportplease · 05/01/2021 18:12

No idea what the nappies are like but the wipes are AMAZING. Its £2.63 for a pack of 6! I used to only use huggies pure and these are much better and softer. Really recommend the wipes

glasshalfsomething · 05/01/2021 18:13

Brief piece of advice on the nappies. They are fab, but since every baby is different; don’t buy too many. You may find a particular brand isn’t a great fit and don’t want to be left with packets you won’t use.

I’m a big fan of their wipes; and the baby toys are normally fab too.

FTM24 · 05/01/2021 18:27

Thank you everyone for the replies! I'll definitely pick up lots of wipes from there in preparation then . That's a good point @glasshalfsomething I hadn't thought of that.. I'll not got mad then like I planned to Smile

@HungryHippo20 I've attached the dates and dates of other upcoming baby events!

@3rdtimelucky2019 sorry if I'm being stupid, what is a towel seta?

They usually sell big boxes of wipes at each baby event. I buy a few boxes of them each event and don't usually have to buy anymore the rest of the year. Even though my toddler is potty training now I'm still going to buy a box next week for meals and messy hands.

They had excellent changing mats last time - the anti-roll kind with wedge-shaped sides.

Yes to the wipes. They often have packs of tommee tippee and MAM bottles and dummies in the baby events too.

Luckyelephant1 · 05/01/2021 20:40

How often do baby events tend to happen? As it's waaaay too early for me to start buying yet but always good to know when these things happen.

FTM24 · 05/01/2021 20:42

@Luckyelephant1 I think the last one was maybe 3 months ago as I was quite early so didn't take full advantage but did get an Angelcare bath seat and some bottles both really cheap. How far along are you?

We used the nappies and they were fantastic when she was a newborn but once she went into size 2 they suddenly felt a lot thinner and leaked so went onto a different brand. The newborn ones were fantastic though and so cheap. We also loved the Muslins- so soft and great for the price (and actually had a pink one with dinosaurs on rather than just unicorns and princesses!).

When the baby gets older it’s a great event for weaning products and also for toys too!

Slough123 · 06/01/2021 23:03

@FTM24
Thanks for this. I had no idea there were such events

Sceptre86 · 07/01/2021 10:34

When I was pregnant with dd I manged to get a tommee tippee nappy bin which had seen us through two kids and hopefully will this pregnancy too. I am not a fan of the wipes, they aren't very big. Nappy wise I found their own brand to be great for my dd but my son would always leak in them. For my son I found Asda's little angel brand was better. All kids are different so I would only buy a pack and then see how you get on. My mum bought a moses basket and bouncer from there to keep at her own home for when we visited.

emmafou1807 · 07/01/2021 10:39

@luckyelephant Aldi do a baby event 3 times a year, some items are duplicated for each event but others are only launched once a year.

Snackz · 07/01/2021 10:57

@FTM24 I bought my moses basket from Aldi in the last one for £30 if that's any help? Smile

FTM24 · 07/01/2021 15:36

@Snackz do you recommend it? Grin

Littlegoth · 07/01/2021 15:44

I’ve tried all the nappy brands I can think of and Aldi are my favourite for fit and absorbency. Their wipes are great, too.

Snackz · 07/01/2021 17:01

@FTM24 Baby isn't here yet but it seems very sturdy Grin

anth85 · 10/01/2021 19:56

has anyone bought the mattress from their baby events? My wife has her eye on it but I'm unsure.

Doublechins · 10/01/2021 20:48

I can't get the link to work but these breast pumps are fantastic for collecting leakage if you're planning to breastfeed
