When did you have your second babies?

Hey!

I'm currently 39+5 with my second.
When did everyone have their second babies? Did anyone go over or go over by much?

I'm happy to wait but I feel like I'm in some form of limbo land waiting for it to all kick off.

Anyone got any positive second time birth stories please feel free to share haha!

I was booked in for an ELCS at 39w but my waters broke at 38+6! Don’t suppose that helps 😂. When did you have your first ?

@WalkingMeAway 40+1 waters went, he was born early hours 40+2... so I feel I got lucky there.

I've had way more symptoms and false alarms this time. I'm just in limbo haha! X

Hopefully only a couple more days then 🤞🏻 I still have 25 weeks 😫

First at 40+4, second ended up having an ELCS at 39wks due to position

2 days early. She gate crashed our wedding anniversary.

39+5 so by that it should be today for you!

Last week, 39 weeks, elective section. Also crashed wedding anniversary....

DC2 born at 40+1

Currently 33wks 4days with number 3, wonder when she'll arrive 🤔

Ooh following out of curiosity. Currently 22 weeks with DC2. DC1 came at 37+5 and so I have no idea when to finish work. Last time I had to finish a handover in labour!

Dd1 41 + 1
Dd2 41+ 4
I'm currently 23 weeks pregnant with DD3, and thinking she will keep me waiting until 42 weeks 😂

1st child born at 41+3
2ne child born at 37+3
3rd child born at 39w exactly
4th child born at 40+5

Currently 37w plus with baby no5.
So any day now god willing...

DC1 36 weeks natural labour
DC2 39+1 after induction

Labour itself was so much easier and shorter with my second. Because I had my first a month early I assumed it would be similar timing with DC2, but because it wasn’t so the last few weeks seemed to drag. Although for an easier labour it was well worth it!

DC1 2 days early
DC2 9 days late and felt like forever!

Second birth so much better than first, no pain relief and felt totally in control. Good luck op!

Ohhh ok, very varied comparisons which is super interesting. Also loving the positive stories for second labours/ births! X

2 days over and still no baba... trying to stay strong but god it's tough!

I feel I'm trying all the usual tips and tricks, officially the most pregnant I've ever ever been!

Ds1 was 36+4
Ds2 39+6

Aimed for about 3 years apart, so started trying when DD was about two, took a few months and there's a 3 year 2 month age gap which is good. I was aiming for DD to be out of pushchair and nappies by the time sibling came along. She finally got out of nappies the week before her brother arrived!

Oops, just realised that's not what you're asking at all! I had c sections so my experience not that relevant. Though as it happened I did go into labour the night before planned c- section with ds , ie 2 weeks early!

Both quick uncomplicated births (3hrs 30mins and 1hr50mins). Was told that if I went for a third it would probably be even faster.
