I am so near the end for which I am so grateful, but my god its so hard. SPD, constipation, back ache, exhaustion, reflux, heartburn, swollen hands and feet, the lot.

I feel like each day is so long but the weeks are flying by, does anyone feel that?!

I know how you feel, I'm 39+3 and just so uncomfortable. Pelvic pain is bad no matter what position I sit/lay in, I'm just tired and headachey a lot and want it to be over now. I've got a just-turned 2 year old too so can't nap until he does.

Have you had any signs yet? I lost a bit of plug a couple of weeks ago, which didn't lead to anything. Had some painful tightenings yesterday, maybe 5 in a row but when I moved position they stopped 😩

MumMrs85 · 29/12/2020 14:44

@SpacePug I know, if I do nothing all day but sit my pelvis is agony, if I get up and move its agony, the worst is by far at night, I know I will probably get better (not necessarily more!) sleep once baby is here.

I have a 3yr old who doesn't nap, so that's not great! And I know people are trying to be kind but they keep saying, not long to go now, I'm like every day is long!!

That's exciting RE your tightenings, hopefully means it's close? I'm booked in for an ELCS so at least I know the date!

I agree nights are the worst! The grinding when rolling over 😭
Can't wait to not be pregnant anymore. Ooh that's exciting knowing the date for your ELCS.
I went 2 weeks overdue last time and was induced, had no signs at all on the run up to it, so I'm hoping that by having these little twinges it could be my body getting ready ?! 🤞🤞🤞 Really hoping I don't need inducing again. How long to go until your CS?
Do you worry what your toddler will be like with a new baby around? Mine doesn't understand that there's a baby coming so not sure how he'll react

MumMrs85 · 29/12/2020 19:13

I went 2 weeks overdue first time too! Induced at 42 weeks and she came at 42+2, was all pretty grim tbh.
Which is why I'm over the moon that a I'll be pregnant for an entire 3 weeks less this time round!
She talks about it a lot but I don't think she fully understands the concept that a baby will be coming to live here in her house and will be disruptive, I'm preparing for a tough few months then hoping when it settles its the best thing we've done for her, but I am so anxious about it.

My first came at 42+1 using forceps in the end, hoping for an easier time this time round! 🤞
Yeah I think it's hard for toddlers to really know just how big the change will be for them, I admit I am nervous about that, don't want him to feel pushed out 😭

PopsicleHustler · 30/12/2020 10:50

37 weeks here with number 5 and ready to pop.
The days are long, you're right. Just had enough of constant nausea, backache, braxton hicks all day long, waddling like a duck. I feel sick all day too and weak. We literally have been living on about 3 takeaways a week where I am so sick and weak to cook!
The end is in sight!

MumMrs85 · 30/12/2020 18:09

@PopsicleHustler yes! I am so lucky I live a 5 min walk to Cook, their freezer meals keep us sane and fed!

The home stretch always seems the longest.

Had period pain all afternoon, hoping it doesnt justr fizzle off to nothing but no other signs so who knows 😩

starsinyourpies · 31/12/2020 15:33

39 weeks with #3 here and am SO over being pregnant. Both others born at 42 weeks. I cannot do 3 more weeks!!!

MumMrs85 · 01/01/2021 12:22

@starsinyourpies I could not do another 42 weeks pregnancy, I honestly think I'd go mad, so well done to you for doing 2! I hope this one is shorter for you. I have 3 days left until my ELCS, I am counting the actual minutes, I am so miserable!

@MumMrs85 I am seeing the midwife this weekend, may ask to be induced next week despite bad previous induction!

starsinyourpies · 01/01/2021 14:26

@MumMrs85 good luck with the c section! Quite jealous of knowing when it will arrive Smile

bluemonday2020 · 01/01/2021 14:35

Can I join too please? I am 39+2 with my first baby and getting so impatient 😣😣 0 signs whatsoever. Midwives couldn’t find an available space for my next appointment until 40+6 but if nothing has happened by the due date I am thinking of begging to get a sweep at week 40. Sending lots of positive vibes to all the other mamas out there xx

starsinyourpies · 01/01/2021 15:23

@bluemonday2020 thinking of you!!

MumMrs85 · 01/01/2021 16:10

Honestly knowing the date has been such a relief, I don't think unless you've gone so overdue nobody can understand the mental and physical drain it takes on you.
My induction was terrible too but I know for a fact of I wasn't having an ELCS I'd be begging for one just to get it all over with!

starsinyourpies · 01/01/2021 20:08

@SpacePug any progress with the twinges?

SpacePug · 03/01/2021 11:04

Nope 😩 period pains every day but they don't last or get worse. My due date was yesterday 😒 not due to see midwife until 41+3 for a sweep! Then induction at 41+5 if nothing happens 😩 was really hoping to go spontaneously this time 🤞🤞

starsinyourpies · 03/01/2021 17:19

@SpacePug sorry to hear that! I ended up having a scan today as midwife thought baby was breech but it isn't so back to the waiting game here too, sweep booked for next Sat and two acupuncture appointments this week...

SpacePug · 04/01/2021 15:27

I'm starting to accept that I'll end up being induced again. 10 days left for labour to start on its own and I just don't think it's going to happen 😒
It's as though our babies don't know they have a due date to stick to 😂

starsinyourpies · 05/01/2021 16:12

@SpacePug I am worried about that too. Just been for a long walk and eaten some dates...

SpacePug · 05/01/2021 23:08

@starsinyourpies have you reached your due date now? Just saw back that you went over with both your first 2 babies 😩 I had a dream yesterday morning that I had a bloody show, was so disappointed it was just a dream. No signs today, what about you?

starsinyourpies · 06/01/2021 08:46

@SpacePug am 40 weeks tomorrow but booked in for more Acupuncture then sweep on Saturday so trying everything. The midwife did say maybe my babies just like to come at 42 weeks... Shock

bluemonday2020 · 06/01/2021 08:55

Hello lovey ladies. It is my due date today and no signs of baby yet. I have a midwife appointment at 40+2 and wondering if I should ask for a sweep. Did you feel like it helped with your previous pregnancies? I am willing to try anything “natural” at this stage.

starsinyourpies · 06/01/2021 12:18

@bluemonday2020 hello and welcome to the waiting game! I had two sweeps with my first and don't think they did anything (was induced in the end) and didn't bother last pregnancy. My midwife says it will speed things up if you are nearly ready so I figure worth a try! It really hurt with my first baby so I'll be taking paracetamol beforehand but I think I may have been unlucky with that.

bluemonday2020 · 06/01/2021 17:01

@starsinyourpies thank you! I think I will ask the midwife to check how my cervix looks first (whether already dilated or not- not sure what the exact medical term is), I am still a bit on the fence though! Maybe I will be so fed up in two days’ time that I will say yes!
