38 weeks - days are long but weeks are flying?

I am so near the end for which I am so grateful, but my god its so hard. SPD, constipation, back ache, exhaustion, reflux, heartburn, swollen hands and feet, the lot.

I feel like each day is so long but the weeks are flying by, does anyone feel that?!

Id probably take the sweep as you'll find out how dilated you are, how likely to be close to labour you are or not. It might be uncomfortable or painful though mine was in last pregnancy, but there's also a chance it will work and kick start the labour. I haven't got a sweep until 12th Jan as they won't do second time mums sweeps until over 41 weeks in my area

Any progress from anyone? Sweep tomorrow for me as officially 40 weeks (my dates make me 40+2). Getting a curry tonight.

I had a sweep on Tuesday (12th) in the afternoon at 41+2, cervix was thick and only 1cm. She booked my induction for Friday 15th.
That evening after my sweep, my waters broke at 10pm! I was shocked as not had a spontaneous labour before. Contractions started pretty much straight away 5mins apart.
They kept getting worse and so went to hospital at 230am. She checked me at 330am I was 3-4cm.
Baby boy was born at 6.19am weighing 8lb 3. Can't believe how fast it all happened, my sweep must have worked!
