Today marks me at 14 weeks pregnant, my horrendous nausea has vanished (for now!) I’m feeling more like myself and my energy levels are slowly increasing again.

How many weeks are you, and how are you feeling?

Hey. I’m 12 weeks today. My nausea has subsided considerably but it’s still lingering. I’ve not moved on from eating anything with flavour yet ! I’m still tired but managing to get up off the sofa more frequently 🤣
My scan is not until next Wednesday so feeling impatient.

howmanyroads · 29/12/2020 11:07

Hopefully you guys have a smooth second trimester Smile

I'm 26+5 and heartburn is now a thing. Hoping if I just eat normally today (rather than Christmas style) it won't be so bad tonight!

LittleTiger007 · 29/12/2020 11:28

I am 20 weeks tomorrow and was really hoping that the second trimester would be better than the first... it has been until this week. Now I have hideous heartburn and reflux which is keeping me awake and really getting me down. It’s a rollercoaster this pregnancy lark!

Luckyelephant1 · 29/12/2020 11:48

I was 12 weeks yesterday and starting to feel better than I have been I guess. Less food aversion and the extreme tiredness is lifting a bit. Still quite lethargic though but I dunno if that's just generally due to crap weather and the whole Twixtmas thing!

PopsicleHustler · 29/12/2020 12:01

37 +1 with little baby number 5.

Feeling anxious. I have suffered with sickness and weakness and for the past week, extremely tired and exhausted and having spaced out contractions and stronger Braxton hicks.
The finishing line is near. I cannot wait to have my little one! God willing !

Hardbackwriter · 29/12/2020 12:03

33 weeks and feeling dreadful! Horrible pain from SPD and for some reason also very nauseous today and just exhausted. I wasn't expecting this at all, I was still doing 10 mile walks at this stage with my first DC, and smugly assumed I'd breeze through again!

Illy605 · 29/12/2020 12:05

15 weeks. My nausea has gone and I have a lot less food aversions. Managing to eat more than one small meal a day!! Bloating has significantly gone down and I think what I’m left with is a teeny tiny bump ☺️ Still absolutely exhausted all the time so hoping that will change too. But in general I am feeling 100x better than I was just a week ago!!

Peanut91 · 29/12/2020 12:14

12+3 here today with baby number 2. Got hideous nausea which if anything is getting worse not better. Was prescribed Cyclizine by GP a couple of weeks ago but it just made me really light-headed and drowsy.

Spoke to the GP again today and they have prescribed me a different anti sickness medication. He said there is one other group we can try if this doesn't work otherwise he said we are looking at hospital admission for IV

Elwynne · 29/12/2020 12:31

Congratulations everyone Flowers I'm 29 weeks here and over the moon as I passed the long gestational diabetes test despite failing the 1hr one. I was so sure I had messed up and lots of lovely people wrote to me on MN to make me feel better, which was so kind and did help.

@Hardbackwriter are you having a different gender this time? Last time I felt fine, fit and healthy the whole way through and did loads of long distance walking. This time has been completely different from the start, nausea, tiredness, hip pain...

MrsB2019x · 29/12/2020 12:33

7 weeks tomorrow and feel like I have the worst hangover 😵 Did anybody else have this head spinny feeling? Been like it a few days now!

LouJ85 · 29/12/2020 12:35

24+3 today. Struggling with energy levels and motivation but luckily the awful nausea is a thing of the past now. Actually just getting ready to leave the house for my 25 week midwife appointment Smile

Mimiwish · 29/12/2020 12:41

36 + 1 - I feel a bit anxious! Being a bit grouchy. Hip pain at night. Some lightning crotch feelings but no Braxton Hicks that I've noticed - not sure if that's a bad sign? I get round ligament style pains around the bottom of the bump.
Nervous about giving birth at the height of a pandemic in Tier 4 (or possibly 5 by then).

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 29/12/2020 12:43

I’m 30 weeks and struggling a little with back/neck pain. Feeling a lot more aches and pains generally with this pregnancy.

Fairywings123 · 29/12/2020 12:52

16 weeks tomorrow and my sickness has finally gone, still can't eat loads but better than I was, worried tho as got my gender and well being scan on Sunday (3rd) just hope everything is still okay, only thing I can't really shift is feeling exhausted!! But I'm very lucky and blessed to have my son and this little one on the way so can't complain really Flowers

HotDiggidy2017 · 29/12/2020 12:52

21 weeks today and haven’t had any complaints all pregnancy tbh. Like @Elwynne said ‘fine, fit and healthy’ and counting my blessings for that every day.

Our little girl’s kicking more and more strongly every day and she had hiccups last night - it was so amazing 😻

Now just wondering if this bump is ever going to ‘pop’ 🤔

luxxlisbon · 29/12/2020 13:01

I actually feel great today, Im exactly 12 weeks had a private scan a few days ago so I think I’m still on a high from that. It was incredible to see the tiny little baby wriggling about in there! I had some pretty bad morning sickness but that started to go about 2 weeks ago. I still feel a little nauseous on and off but nothing like the sickness I had before.

Loz1093 · 29/12/2020 13:17

39+3 today.. glad to have made it through Christmas, but goodness me have I had enough 😂 love reading through everyone else's current experiences!! Congratulations all x

Sohe · 29/12/2020 13:55

I’m only 8 weeks and I feel horrendous. I feel sick a lot of the time. No appetite but what I can stomach is crap food. Recently had constipation and trapped wind which I wouldn’t have imagined could be so painful. So tired, all I want to to I lie down. Threw up my tiny breakfast this morning and working a night shift tonight. Still very excited to be pregnant though and I’m praying everything will be ok for my little eggy! I’m worried coz I’m not getting a good amount of food or water in. Just wish I felt a bit better coz shift work combined with symptoms is making life a bit miserable at the moment x

savanahnana · 29/12/2020 14:39

@Sohe you’ve described how I’d been feeling! It was when I hit around 12 weeks that I started feeling more ‘normal’. Hopefully your symptoms ease for you soon as it’s really not enjoyable feeling permanently rough!

Excited for those of you who are nearly full term, not long and your little bundles of joy will be here! 😄

Those of you who have already have babies, do you feel you’re showing sooner? This is 3rd baby for me, and at only 14 weeks I feel my bump has already popped out and I definitely look pregnant. I remember with my previous 2 I hadn’t even put any weight on or didn’t start showing until after the 20 week scan!

Sweetpea12 · 29/12/2020 14:43

I’m 11 weeks and 3 and suffering really badly with nausea I’ve only been sick twice but it’s everyday I’m nauseous and nothing helps. Unable to eat much and only thing keeping me going is that I’ve seen baby twice now otherwise I would want to lie in a corner and cry in self pity 😂
It gets easier right??

savanahnana · 29/12/2020 14:46

@MrsB2019x Yes I felt similar, I had horrendous migraines around that time and physically couldn’t get out of bed for 2 days as I was spinning too much. I suffer migraines normally but these were some of the worst I’d ever had, partly due to not being able to take my migraine tablets to fight it!

Mumtoalittlegirl · 29/12/2020 14:50

8 weeks on Thursday and whilst I’m still being sick a few times a day. Weeks 4-6ish. Seemed to be the worst for me so feel a bit more alive now. I’m hoping it’s calmed down for a while..

For anyone struggling I really recommend talking to your doctor. Mine prescribed some anti sickness pills (the one you put under your lip), and they have really helped. That and constantly snacking on fruit. Smile

LouJ85 · 29/12/2020 14:53

@Sweetpea12

I found weeks 8-12 to be the hardest of the whole pregnancy, I felt so unbelievably rough. I couldn't move from my bed. It did gradually get easier, from about week 14 onwards. I'm 24 weeks now and apart from the odd moment of nausea, I'm generally feeling much better. Low on energy and motivation to do anything, but I'm no longer bedridden or feeling absolutely shocking like I was in the first trimester. Hang in there!

Sweetpea12 · 29/12/2020 14:58

@LouJ85 that’s how I feel over Christmas I’ve barely left my bed and was considering speaking to a doctor to see if there is something I can take for the nausea as I’ve no appetite and lost close to half a stone which I’m panicking about. But it’s good to hear positive things from others. I feel awful to even moan this is supposed to be an amazing thing happening and it is but it’s draining. I’m glad you are feeling much better x

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 29/12/2020 14:58

26+3 today.

Bit achey and very tired.

Finding it very difficult to get comfortable at night.
