Weord pregnancy test result

Hi,
This is my first time posting. I'm not sure if I can share pictures on here but I have done a pregnancy test that came up with a very faint positive result. It came up straight away and got stronger during the 3 minutes but I'd be very, very early if it is positive as I'm only due my period next week.

The suspense is killing me and my boyfriend is convinced that it's just a weird and incorrect result.

Should I wait a couple of days to test again? Does anyone know the best pregnancy tests to use?

You're still very early so to have lines before you're due is a very good sign.

Evap lines and indents are a myth (this is the hill I will die on) and anyone who’s had one has actually had a chemical.

Fwiw my successful pregnancy came after a 1.5 day “period” so that’s definitely possible.

@ree348 I'm gobsmacked.

I have two from today. The second is slightly darker than the first. They came up within a minute and in person they're much pinker than the photo. Surely if these were all indents/evaps/false positives, that would just be incredibly cruel?

I swear your tests are the exact same as mine when I first found out, I had the exact same bleeding as well and was sure my period was away to arrive (it would have been over a week early for my period). Nothing came so I randomly tested, the lines were lighter than your pics, then the following morning it started getting darker. Congratulations ❤️ x

Just incase anyone is interested, or if this helps anyone going through the same thing as me (obsessive about line eyes/indents/evaps)... this is today's test on a £1 asda test

Hi, this is the first time I have ever used this so please bear with me. Thursday I had 5 positive pregnancy tests. Very faint but there and clear blue digital come back as pregnant. So to confirm I took another yesterday morning again very faint but positive. Not due my period till Monday so am testing early! But later in the day yesterday I took 2 more digital come back negative. This morning took another clear blue and again very faint line. My last pregnancy was ectopic and I ended up having emergency surgery. Worried that something is going wrong or I was not pregnant to begin with!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@Christina3004 I can totally empathise with your stress and confusion! I think at one point I sat for about 4 hours with my phone torch just staring at a test because I was convincing/unconvincing myself that it was there, as it was so faint! At that point, I think my boyfriend lost the plot 🙈

My best piece of advice, although it's so hard, is just to hang in there and wait a few days. My lines got way darker. But I think we're in the same boat right now, so I'll cross my fingers and toes for you aswell xx

The bleed was an implantation bleed
The same Happened with me. It was very brown blood which disappeared entirely after a day. Congratulations have you been trying long?

Congrats, so happy for you after a rollercoaster of a few days.

The faintness is a real throw off and I really think it should be highlighted more that the second line will more than likely be incredibly faint. I tested at what was 5 weeks and my line wasn't much darker than yours at all, it also took a bit longer to develop so when I first looked it was negative (it was a quick first response test) and then my OH looked seconds later and told me he could see a faint line. Saved me a lot of stress that I could take a clear blue and see the word. The hour wait between the two tests in order to pee again was hard enough so I feel for anyone who has to wait days to be sure.
