When I've a minute I will try and tag everyone across the three threads.

My 12 week scan that dated me at 11+1 which makes sense with my cycles. Got another scan next week as baby was teeny bit small but otherwise perfect. Due date 2nd August.

@buckingmad congratulations 🎉

Meggy24 · 14/01/2021 11:16

@buckingmad ah congratulations! So exciting its coming up to everyones 12 week scans🤞🏼

Although does anyone have pain in their stomachs when they sneeze? Its awfully sore everytime and im prone to sneezing at the minute it seems🤧🤧

Regarding the cravings fizzy sweets for me could eat packets and packets of them and coke zero. Totally different with my daughter when all i craved was red apples

WolfMother326 · 14/01/2021 11:24

@plebsticle I think those symptoms are very normal, I'm 9 weeks and just feel nauseous/food aversions and very tired, some sore boobs and mood swings but not much else. We're just lucky not to be getting sick, but I don't think it's anything to worry about.

@buckingmad such a lovely scan photo. Do you tend to have a long cycle/ovulate late? I have a short one/ovulate very early early (day 10 or 11), so I suppose this will impact things. Can't wait to get a scan and find out!

LyraShaeLilly · 14/01/2021 11:50

Meggy24 - pain on sneezing - YES!!! I have to crouch down to sneeze as that stops the pain but I also get it going over speed bumps in the car!!!

Mmr224 · 14/01/2021 11:57

Hi there, I'm due 27th August with an IVF baby.

notveryrelaxed · 14/01/2021 12:19

Thanks again for the support all of you. I went to EPU today and had an internal scan and all is fine, no reason for the bleeding but no reason for concern so I’m very relieved! 🎉🎉🎉

WinterBabyof89 · 14/01/2021 12:23

@WolfMother326 yes I ovulate around day 20-23 so I knew I’d be a week or so behind my LMP based date.

ame88 · 14/01/2021 13:24

My 12 weeks scan finally come through - 18th Feb when I will be 12+4. Weirdly haven't heard from a midwife yet but guessing that will come soon!

MrsB2019x · 14/01/2021 13:35

Lovely scan @buckingmad!

Congratulations @Mmr224 💙

Amazing news @notveryrelaxed! 😁

It hadn’t really occurred to me before I read all your comments but I think I’ve gone off pasta 🤨 so weird it’s one of my favorites!
I’ve just had potato waffles for lunch and it was incredible 🤤

PurplePansy05 · 14/01/2021 14:04

Great news @notveryrelaxed 😊

Congrats everyone on your positive scans.

I too get up at least once every night to go to the toilet, but I'm now on autopilot, no lights on, to the ensuite, wash hands, back to bed. I am positive I'm still at least half asleep during my toilet trips 😂

WolfMother326 · 14/01/2021 14:53

Ugh, I am having a very rough few days. Been so nauseous that work has been almost impossible, and spent most of today crying (both over happy and sad things), plus just generally exhausted! Hope everyone else is feeling better...

Thanks @buckingmad, that makes sense and is very interesting. Good to hear the dating scan confirmed what you expected.

Magik01 · 14/01/2021 16:00

Is anyone’s partners allowed at their 12 week scan? I’ve been told he’s only allowed to my 30 week one at our trust Sad

Magik01 · 14/01/2021 16:00

20 week scan even!

PurplePansy05 · 14/01/2021 16:13

Yes, my DH was with me at both our scans so far (RMC NHS) and will also be allowed at the 12 week scan. There's an RCOG guidance on this.

ame88 · 14/01/2021 16:28

My trust is currently saying parents to all scans (Chelmsford)

Thisisbananas3 · 14/01/2021 16:47

@buckingmad aw lovely!

@Meggy24 sneezing is wild atm, so painful!

@Mmr224 congratulations!!!!

@notveryrelaxed great news, I was thinking of you today, so pleased it went well!

@WolfMother326 feel better, Nausea is the worst! Hope you get some respite!

@Magik01 my husband is only allowed for the last 5 mins of my 12 week scan and not for any others. I’m in London.

Had my midwife appt today- anyone else think it’s a little pointless? She couldn’t weigh me because the scales were broken, she couldn’t take my height because the measurer thing was out by a few cm and they didn’t know how much. It took her 5 attempts to get blood out of me. Could have done it over the phone and gone to my local surgery for the tests... maybe I thought there’d be a bit more to it!

WinterBabyof89 · 14/01/2021 17:23

@Thisisbananas3 sorry to hear it didn’t go smoothly. What region are you from? Was it in the community rather than GP?
The 16 week one will be good listening to baby’s heartbeat ❤️

That being said today the midwife at my booking apt today was grand so I think it depends on the day, the midwife and maybe your local area.

I had my flu jab done with one of the nurses as she had space, exemption form, a trainee did my blood and she was great, midwife booked me in for my scan and consultant apt on 8th Feb, and referred me to the rainbow clinic which wasn’t up and running when I had my actually rainbow baby.

BertieBotts · 14/01/2021 17:30

Sneezy pain is round ligament pain and v normal :)

DH not allowed to scans here either amd they wouldn't let me do a video :(

biscuitcat · 14/01/2021 17:44

@Miniheart I've been absolutely hating the night wakings for the loo - I usually sleep so well and never wake up, but now do almost without fail! I've really struggled getting to sleep the past couple of nights and the only advantage is by having my last pee at about 2am I do sleep until my alarm 😂

I've found that I can still manage all fruit, while I've been off most veggies, so that's been saving me from my all beige diet, I feel much better for it!! Bless DH, he popped out earlier to top up my fruit supplies and came back with flowers too

Sorry to those of you who are facing policy changes about partners at scans, what a bummer. Mine is still allowing partners, I hope it stays that way.

olderthanyouthink · 14/01/2021 17:51

@Thisisbananas3 my height and weight was done at the 12 week scan that turned out to be 6 weeks. Blood pressure was done at home with MW. bloods are planned for the 12 week scan 2.0
