It appears that I am having another miscarriage. This is the second this year

Really worried that we are not going to be able to have another child as it keeps going wrong.

Anybody get a healthy pregnancy after two miscarriages?

Firstly so sorry for your losses, they are cruel! Wouldn't wish them on anyone! I had my daughter in Feb 2019, after her we suffered 3 miscarriages within a year (up to Feb 2020) then fell pregnant again in May this year and so far all is well and 34 weeks with a boy :) so yes it can happen!

Mammyofasuperbaby · 08/12/2020 10:27

I did, I had 2 miscarriages in 6 months and then fell pregnant with my ds who is now 4 months old. Im sorry for your loss Flowers

physicskate · 08/12/2020 10:27

I'm sorry to hear that. About 7% or women will have two in a row. Only about 1-2% or women will have three in a row. So you're far more likely to go on to have a healthy pregnancy than another miscarriage.

I had two chemical pregnancies (very early, before 5 weeks) and then had dd. Currently pregnant with number 2.

It's shit, it sucks. But there is nothing you did to cause this.

If you are massively unlucky again, the nhs will start tests. They only start testing after three because it is not unusual to have two.... sadly.

Be kind to yourself.

Sorry you are going through this. I had 3 miscarriages in a row & was referred by the doctor to have some tests but whilst waiting got pregnant again with my now 10 month old DD. She is amazing & I feel so lucky to have her.
I know how you are feeling right now & it is the worst. All you can do is keep going, I really hope it happens for you xxxx

That's good to hear that it might be possible. Just can't believe it's happening again. What a nightmare.

Congratulations to all of you. So pleased that you have healthy babies and pregnancies. Really hoping next year will be our turn. Xx

I'm so sorry x
One mc at 9 weeks, another at 14 . Have a gorgeous 18 year old getting her beauty sleep upstairs Hmm
Fingers crossed for you.

A friend of mine had two miscarriages in quick succession when trying for her second child. She has some more bleeding early on in her next pregnancy and was sure it was happening again but it turned out everything was fine, only she was having twins.

Sadly miscarriages are so common that having 2 is usually just normal. You’ll be offered some investigations if you have 3 but even then for most women there will be no problem to be found and they go on to have a healthy pregnancy.

pumpkinpie01 · 08/12/2020 10:46

It's horrible , I remember that feeling. I had 4 in a row no problem getting pregnant but just couldn't get past 7 weeks. Then almost a year of not being able to get pregnant and I really was giving up hope. Then aspirin and progesterone when I fell pregnant and had the easiest pregnancy ever! It will never be known if the progesterone aspirin did the trick or if it was just coincidence. Keep trying and keep posting

jabice · 08/12/2020 10:47

I had a 2 year old Daughter when I got pregnant again. I had a miscarriage at about 6 weeks, 4 months later I got pregnant again and had another miscarriage at 6 weeks.

I was really starting to think there was something wrong with me. 3 months later I got pregnant again and was petrified. I started bleeding at 6 weeks and I felt sick with worry that I was having another miscarriage. Had an early scan and baby was fine! She is now 8 months old.

Pegase · 08/12/2020 10:50

@Username54789129671 yes easy time getting pg with DD1 then when we were ready to TTC again I had three miscarriages in a year. Now finally have DD2 here safe and sound. I was basically pregnant for 2 years on and off. Was a horrible time.

The only thing I did was use a fertility monitor to ensure each month we did DTD on the key day(s). After the miscarriages I didn't want to miss a chance due to being too busy or tired!

I didn't realise that having two was so common. Thanks for the responses, makes me feel a little more hopeful

Me, I had 2 in a row and then a totally healthy baby girl about 8 years after when I was in my 30s. I did nothing different at all and was older too. Wishing you all the luck in world op and I just wanted to share my story that sometimes early losses are just bad luck, although at the time I was beyond frustrated to hear that, it turned out to be true.

Starlive23 · 08/12/2020 11:37

And just to add, I'm so sorry you are going through this OP.ll its absolutely the shittest time and there is no way to say it's not x

LividLoves · 08/12/2020 11:41

I had three, one nearly killed me.

Healthy baby now snoozing curled up next to me.

I never, ever believed I would be one of the lucky ones.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 08/12/2020 11:50

Wanted to add I was older too.
25 with the mc and 35 with the one that stuck.

jdy123 · 08/12/2020 12:48

I am so sorry for your loss!
I too had 2 misscariages within a year and my third pregnancy resulted in a currently happy and healthy 4 month old!

3rdtimelucky2019 · 08/12/2020 14:23

One blighted ovum November 2018. MMC January 2019. Little boy born December 2019. It's very possible.

Mimba1 · 08/12/2020 16:48

@Username54789129671 I'm so sorry that you're going through this. It's completely shite. I've had 2MC this year, one at 8 weeks one at 9 after 3 yrs TTC our first. I'm now 23 weeks with my third PG and everything looks good. Don't lose hope but do ask for help if you need it. MC can really affect your mental health and still isn't really discussed that much. Good luck!

VWLolabunny9119 · 08/12/2020 17:02

@Username54789129671 so sorry for your loss. I have had 2 miscarriages this year and now pregnant 6w for the third time. Things feel better this time but that doesn't stop me from worrying when I feel a slight cramp. My midwife told me that she had 5 miscarriages before she had her first! I really hope it's a case of 3rd time lucky for me and hopefully for you too! X

Quail15 · 08/12/2020 17:18

Sorry for your loss. It is awful. I had 3 MC in a year - at 6 weeks, 7 weeks and 11 weeks (twins).
I lost my twins in July, got pregnant again in August and am now 20 weeks pregnant with a boy and all going well.

I really hope your next pregnancy is successful X x

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 08/12/2020 17:25

Sorry for your losses 💗

I've had 2 losses this year one in February and one in July I'm now currently 15 weeks pregnant 🤰🏻 this is the furthest I've ever got and I'm feeling positive after a very stressful year

It's been such a rollercoaster of emotions but all was well at my 12 week scan and I have a week to wait to see the midwife

Good luck I'm sure it will happen for you - I know it sounds ridiculous but after the second MC I really "stopped" trying didn't do any OPKs or track my cycle just tried to relax and focus on me seems to have worked

London91 · 08/12/2020 17:53

I'm so sorry for your loses.
I had 3 miscarriages before having my dd who is now 3 months old.
