It appears that I am having another miscarriage. This is the second this year

Really worried that we are not going to be able to have another child as it keeps going wrong.

Anybody get a healthy pregnancy after two miscarriages?

Just wanted to say hi - I am having a miscarriage again, having had one at the beginning of October, both at about 9 weeks. It feels so unfair and so cruel. Hope you are feeling okay xx

Sorry you are going through this. Yes, we took ages to get pregnant then had two miscarriages in a row I was almost ready for giving up then had two healthy children in a row in quick succession (at age 38 and 39).
Give yourself a little break before trying again, get your bloods checked out (I had to go on thyroxine after 2nd miscarriage so definitely worth getting checked out).
Take care and be kind to yourself OP

Sorry to read this OP, it is so hard when your first experience of pregnancy results in miscarriage.

I was mid 30s when we started TTC. My first two pregnancies ended in miscarriage, within the space of 6 months of each other. It then took another 6 months to get pregnant with DC1.

Given that it took a couple of years to conceive DC1 we decided we better get cracking with TTC DC2 when DC1 was 15 months old - I got pregnant straight away (which was a bit of a shock!) and DC2 arrived 9 months later.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant now after two miscarriages this year. I'm sure it was just bad luck in my case but prior to getting pregnant this time I (loosely) followed the plan from It Starts With the Egg, took ubiquinol for egg quality and took baby aspirin.

Really am sorry for your loss.

I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. Then 3 months later had an ectopic pregnancy. It was traumatic so signed off having another child. 2 years later I got pregnant with DD2 who is not almost 2 .

Hi,sorry so many are in the same boat! I suffered 2 miscarriages this year also, one in July and one in November.

I'm scared to try again as I'm so scared of this happening again!

Can I ask for you who took aspirin & progesterone was this on the recommendation of your gp? Did you take it right though your pregnancy?

JanewaysBun · 29/12/2020 21:58
Flowers 3 MCs RMC discovered I have factor V leiden Asprin and clexane prescribed. No more MCs / 2 x crazy toddlers now
JanewaysBun · 29/12/2020 21:59

I took prescribed Asprin the whole pregnancy up until 35 weeks or maybe whole way, not sure
75mg 1st pg
150ml 2nd pg a year later (RMC had changed their thinking)

Meomeomeo · 29/12/2020 22:20

I’m so sorry for your loss, I had 2 back to back MC in April and May this year and now I’m in my second trimester.

2 miscarriages in a row in the space of 6 months anyone gone through this and went on to have a successful pregnancy?

Phoenix2021 · 05/11/2021 08:17

Hi @Mariee83949

Yes, I had two miscarriages within 6 months (Nov 2020 & March 2021) and went on to conceive at the end of May 2021. I am currently 24wks+6days pregnant with a baby girl.

I am in my mid-thirties, so took a lot of supplements, ubiquinol, Myo-inositol, proceive advanced max.

Medications I took: low dose aspirin 75mg daily after 2nd miscarriage
Progesterone (Cyclogest 400mg twice daily) as soon as a positive pregnancy test

I also did a lot of walking, some meditation and reduced my sugar intake (but not dramatically) I feel all of the above worked together to improve the outcome but of course, could have been just random.

I’m so sorry about your losses. We had a loss in July 2020 then in January this year and then fell pregnant immediately after and just had our baby last month.

Mariee83949 · 05/11/2021 19:43

Thank you for your replys gives me hope sorry for your losses too ♥️

Mumtotwofurbabies · 05/11/2021 22:10

I had 2 miscarriages also in quick succession, in November 2020 and January 2021. Then got pregnant again quickly and am now 33 weeks with a girl, I’m mid thirties and already have a 3 year old. Didn’t really do anything special in the third one, was already taking pregnancy vitamins so just carried on with them. In fact I was so convinced I wasn’t pregnant that for the third one I drank loads of wine in the TWW, and didn’t with the pregnancies I had the miscarriages 🤷‍♀️🤣. I think with me it was just bad luck, I realise now it’s happened to me that it’s a lot more common than people think. I’ve had 3 close friends who have had 2/3 in a row and have then had healthy pregnancies. People just don’t talk about it so you don’t realise. I was devastated at the time though so feel for you. And the current pregnancy has been clouded with anxiety which I’m still struggling with. Don’t give up though, there is every chance the next one will be ok 💐

I know this is old but I'm very reassured by these stories. Thank you for taking the time to share. I had 2 MMC with RPOC both times this year and am giving myself a break until the new year to emotionally and physically recover from all that. Lucky to have a healthy toddler to cuddle but longing for a sibling 💗

GooseberryTart · 14/09/2023 22:32

Yes I tried for ages to get pregnant without success then had two miscarriages. Then was advised to go on thyroxine as I was borderline for an under active thyroid (which can contribute to infertility and miscarriage).

When I had almost given up I then went onto have not one but two healthy babies in quick succession in my late 30’s.

Elllicam · 16/03/2024 19:48

I fell pregnant the month after my second miscarriage in a year. I hope it’s the same for you

ByLivelyDreamer · 17/03/2024 17:04

Hi, wondering if anyone can offer support. Just had my second MMC and surgical management on Friday. I’m absolutely devastated. Had a scan at 8 weeks and told everything looked perfect with very strong and visible heartbeat. Further reassurance scan (super anxious following first miscarriage) at 10 weeks and no heartbeat. I feel completely broken. Desperately want to get pregnant again but so scared I’ll have another miscarriage. Also unsure when I can start ovulation tracking? I have PCOS (not confirmed on bloods but irregular cycles and high number of egg follicles) and am 37. Just feel like everything is against me.
also have been told I will unlikely meet criteria for further testing re miscarriage as haven’t had 3. Am tempted to go private. Any advice on all the above greatly received 💔
