As there seem to be a few of us, shall we call on the collective might of mumsnet for some help..ie virtual waters breaking/plug loss/contractions etc...

(40+4 and fed up)

Congratulations to Unicorn that all happened so quick!!

Dalrymps - that is confusing about size of baby isn't it you would think the opposite as you say? good luck with sweep tomorrow sure you will have better luck than me.

Hillbilly - I know you are right they will come when ready but hope that is before next monday keep us updated re the clary sage

Clara thanks for this actually I was fretting about that!! a lot could happen in 96 hours as you say, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hillbilly · 23/10/2007 07:34

40 + 5 now.

I really thought things were going to happen last night but then I woke up, it was 6.30am and I was still there, same as before!

I will try the clary sage massage again this morning.

PregnantGrrrl · 23/10/2007 07:49

40+4...thought i might go last night, had a feeling. Was a load of cobblers as usual. I don't think he's ever coming out

mixedmama · 23/10/2007 09:13

Sending lots of positive vibes your ways ladies. I am 30 weeks and already frustrated but obv dont want to go just yet... will look out in earnest on birth announcements for you all.

bumptobaby · 23/10/2007 10:25

hi everyone

I think i am going to go into labour every night - 3am comes i wake up and think ooohhh this could be it - no i just need a pee!!!

I have 28 hrs until i'm booked in for induction - going for a walk and going to bounce on my ball for a bit.

I'm not dreading induction anymore as clara says at the end of it we will get to meet our baby.

Kittiwake · 23/10/2007 10:50

Hi Bumptobaby I am sending positive birthing vibes really hope it happens for you today and as you say whatever happens we are going to have babies soon!

Had a bad nights sleep but I am feeling much more positive today and trying to focus on taking each day as it comes.

Have got some good advice elsewhere here and seems that everything could change very suddenly.

I have had such a great pregnancy so far and was feeling pretty preparedish for labour, just wasn't expecting this to be the tricky bit

Hillbilly · 23/10/2007 11:36

Hi everyone,

I was thinking about reflexology or acupuncture this morning but actually think that I will wait until after my hosp app on Thurs. Everything feels fine and lots of movement so I will just wait it out for now. From everything I have read, it seems that baby won't come till good and ready anyway.

Birthing vibes going out to all.....

Hillbilly · 23/10/2007 11:44

Just seen on another thread that claraengish is in early labour. Yippee!

bumptobaby · 23/10/2007 13:23

Good luck to Clara - fingers crossed her good luck passes on to the rest of us.

PregnantGrrrl · 23/10/2007 14:38

bumptobaby- i keep doing the pee thing too. it's always just that i need the loo

feeling 'nesty' today, i hope that's a sign! Have cleaned kitchen and mopped floor, done some washing, had a bath, read a bit...i even managed to paint my toe nails, shave my legs and whack my bikini area into shape!

bumptobaby · 23/10/2007 14:58

HI pregnantgirl - i hve been doing some nesting to but i think it has more to do with knowing i'm going in to hospital tomorrow and don't want the house sitting like a tip when i come home.

I have been getting quite strong BH this aftenoon but think this might have been brought on by the house work.

I'm not feeling as fed up today just a bit sad cause i'm now resigned to the fact that it isn't going to happen on is own - I know positive thinking and all that but its easier said than done!!!

Any word on cara

Dalrymps · 23/10/2007 22:32

Hey everyone, 41 weeks now, had my sweep today, they said my cervix was posterior (at the back) but it was 1cm dialated so at least thats something! hope it works. Also discussed my induction and they said i can go to 2 weeks over rather than 10 days, i said i would be happier with this as rather go in to labour naturally, they agreed no reason why not so just hoping it won't be much longer! Hope everyone else is doing ok and not too fed up

PregnantGrrrl · 24/10/2007 06:28

thought i might have gone last night- really nasty BH's by the looks of it.

am going to rest alot today- slept badly and up for an hour in the night with DS

Hillbilly · 24/10/2007 08:02

Morning all.

Nothing doing here! Yet another night thinking this could be the night!

Pregnantgrrl - get a much rest as you can today.....

bumptobaby · 24/10/2007 08:22

HI girls

Looks like our babies are nice and comfy where they are!! I'm sure it means that we are good hosts!

I now have under 6 hours till induction - still nervous, frightened and excited. Just wish it would happen between now and 2pm.

These BH's are doing my head in, everytime they start i think oh this could be it.

Lots of positive labour vibes - I'm off to get ready for hospital

PregnantGrrrl · 24/10/2007 08:23

Good luck bumptobaby!

snig · 24/10/2007 08:23

Giving you all positive birthing vibes, i still have 7 days to go to my due date. Hope you all have fantastic births!

Dalrymps · 24/10/2007 08:51

Hey everyone 41+1 here. Nothing as yet, just more stomac ache. BumptoBaby - try not to worry, i'm sure everything will go just fine, you'll be in safe hands. How exciting you're finally going to meet your little one! Let us know how it goes .
Well i've been catching up on sleep since my bust day yesterday, just saw dh off to work so i'm off back to bed for more sleep!

Kittiwake · 24/10/2007 11:26

Good luck bumptobaby hope today goes well for you and focus on the fact that soon you are going to be holding your lovely baby.

41+2 here, nothing happening had some very mild BH type tightening last night in bed but went nowhere, feeling oaky today but didn't sleep that well either so will be taking it easy. planing on going swiming later.

wonder how clara got on?

PregnantGrrrl · 24/10/2007 11:38

i've been bouncing on birthing ball and dancing (not at same time, obviously!) in hope of shaking him out- not a peep. Going to have a jacket potato and watch some telly instead

Hillbilly · 24/10/2007 12:54

Good luck Bumptobaby!

Nothing happening here. I have an appointment at the hospital tomorrow so maybe they will do a sweep.

Off to have a nap - thank goodnes dd is still taking long lunchtime naps! It's the only thing keeping me sane!

PregnantGrrrl · 25/10/2007 06:08

Still here. bah!

Hillbilly · 25/10/2007 08:30

Good morning all!

Hang on in the pregnantgrrl....

I think I may have early stirrings this morning. Mild cramps every half hour or so. Anyway let's see.

PregnantGrrrl · 25/10/2007 08:38

Dalrymps · 25/10/2007 11:28

Hey everyone, 42+2 here, humf. Had some quite uncomfortable pains in the night, felt like the lo trying to push his head down into my pelvis so hopefully he's on his way... well see. Hope everyone else is hanging in there ok
